I was there at Citibank Hall Sao Paulo for this show. That night I fulfilled my dream of watching Whithesnake live and was shocked by Mr. Aldridge's overwhelming performance. I thank the uber driver who honestly came back to the place to hand me my ticket that I had forgotten in his uber seat. Legendary presentation !!!
Mr. Aldridge is a legend and a master of his craft. Show some respect! Much respect to those of you who understand Mr. Aldridge's incredible mastery of rudiments and his abilities to bring showmanship to the stage. Those of you who choose to criticize and critic ......post your best rudimentary skills for all to see. Let's make sure to keep them clean and tidy. Then slowly over 40+ yrs or so when you get to "Tommy speed", perhaps the world will admire your mad skills as well(?) Till then....and I'll be dead and gone by then.......STFU and show some respect for a man who has entertained millions with his musicianship. -xoxo
I’ve been playing drums for decades but before I ever touched a pair of drumsticks I saw Black Oak open for Ted Nugent and when I saw Tommy playing I thought “Man this drummer is waaay too good to be playing with this band.” I’ve been blessed to see Tommy four times with four different bands. He has never failed to drop my jaw. His performance with Pat Travers in Atlanta was mind-expanding. There’s no one quite like him.
Huh? Why cause he's old? He really good and all but top 5? He plays for whitesnake. Not Led Zeppelin not The Who or Pink Floyd, whitesnake. Come back to reality.

@@frankburdodrums8984 That’s a pretty weird logic right there… I love Pink Floyd as much as the next space cadet but it’s not a God-given for worlds greatest drummer... Tommy is a really solid articulate drummer.. Credit where credit’s due surely?
Or Pat Travers...before Ozzy! Check out "Hammerhead" from Pat Travers Band ....and every other thing he recorded with PAT TRAVERS BAND...THAT WAS THE SHIT!!!!!!!!!
Favorite Rock Drummer by a long shot. The Man is 68 and just as good or better than ever. Incredible work ethic he has. He gives a Great show every time. One of my Hero's
The most violent hard rock drummer to ever do his thing at a world class level. From a pure drummers perspective, look at his monitor cab setup. Good lord!
Huge rig, AND he's running in-ears as well. I saw him with Ozzy and Jake E Lee in Honolulu. That night Jake came into the Jazz Cellar in Waikiki, where my band was playing, and jumped up with us to play Crazy Train. Tommy will always been my hero.
Desde q estaba en black oak arkansas aya por los 70s ya era buenisimo y ahora con los años ah madurado muchisimo y con whitesnake se a consagrado como baterista estando entre lo mejor de lo mejor !!
Tommy is a complete beast. I saw him with Ozzy a long time ago and he tore those drum heads up. At his age I dont know how he can play that hard and not have a heart attack. Just completely fricking amazing
First became aware of Tommy with Black Oak Arkansas in the early 70’s. Followed him ever since. When he was with Pat Travers saw them opening for Rush. Told the wife you’re going to see 2 of the best drummers in the world tonight. Not an overstatement at all.
Saw him play with Black Oak Arkankas back in the late 70's in Wichita, KS.. he absolutely KILLED on his solo. Probably still the best one I've ever heard to this day.
That's because he's doing what people do on the drums to practice when their like 14. Watch closely as he plays the snare and cymbals in the same pattern over and over slows down and speeds up. If you played drums you could do this.
Damn good call! Vinny has been one of my all time fave drummers for nearly 35 years. In many respects, i find his style of playing to be almost unique, at times. Some of the cleverest, most amazing 'musical' fills i've ever heard. The guy will always be nothing less than a Legend, in my eyes. So, so many talented players in the world today, but Vinny is RIGHT UP there for my money... \m/ (:o)
Tommy Aldridge is the MOST UNDERRATED DRMMER in MUSIC PERIOD !! Not to mention that he is humble and doesnt really consider himself to be a "rockstar!" Oh, and a TOTAL BADASS on the kit !!
I first heard him while listening to him playing live on a Gary Moore album,in '84 I think. As a drummer in my early teens,I was proper impressed; firstly because of his use of the double kick, and also the way that he could carry it on for ages without slowing down or missing a beat.Great to see nothing's slowed him down.
I have always been a single bass drummer and have a rubber ankle. I saw Tommy playing with Ozzy and Randy Rhoads shortly before Randy Rhoads died. I really enjoy Tommy playing with Pat Traver and whoever else he plays with. Tommy is a really nice guy too. God bless all drummers and real musicians.

Yeah, I can remember knowing that back in the 80's, and when I came to Dallas to see the Pink Floyd concert in 1988, I happened to stop at a big music store there and asked the salesman while shopping for some cymbals, if he knew or ever dealt with Tommy, and he informed me that Tommy moved away but didn't know where to?
Yes he is a monster I got the chance to see him with Black oak Arkansas one of the fastest dual based drummers I have ever seen I have great respect for him
I absolutely love Tommy’s Passion and Style when he plays the drums! No one plays with more “Intensity” than Tommy! My favorite drummer of all time!
Tommy has always been a legendary player, but the fact that he can physically do what he does at his age is damn impressive! Legend!
One of the best drummers ever!

Truly Powerful AND Yet, w/Style AND Grace

Going all the way back, used to be amazed when he played with Black Oak Arkansas 1973!
Tommy is Awesome, I saw him a few times back in the 80's with Ozzy and Whitesnake !
I really don't understand why anyone would give a thumbs down
Because they're clueless.
amazing that he’s just as powerful now at 68. just unreal
Been following his drumming since 1975!
He’s the best period
65 years old at this time of filming - plays harder now that 1983! Ozzy or Sharon should have never turned loose of this guy! #amazing
