i'd forgotten about this interview she did with Regis……..listening to her cool demeanor, her laugh, and her thoughts on things…..she's well spoken and intelligent…….Madonna forever !
I love how she can shift from flirty to dead serious at the drop of a hat. When Regis mentioned that little kids could be seeing some stuff for the first time and she fired right back in an intelligent way that kids see stuff like that every day. She's right; just watching the news every evening can be a learning experience, even for a grown up.
The Blonde Ambition look, this was the time on when she was terribly sexy, but also missunderstood, so this kind of interviews, shown her authenticity and the myth of femme fatale or stupid blonde, felt down, in front of a woman who really knows what she is smart & artist. A nice convrsation! She says exactly what she wants! Very cool & fresh interview, nice balcony, GREAT MADONNA.
I love how confident she is when saying her mom, if alive, would "love" the show. The best parents don't judge their children while they are alive, of course they would love them unconditionally in death!!
Donna De Lory’s superior harmonic voice of clear resonance can be heard on albums by Mylène Farmer, Carly Simon, Ray Parker, Jr., Kim Carnes, Santana, Martika, Laura Branigan, Belinda Carlisle, Selena, Bette Midler, Alisha on her album Bounce Back. *Donna De Lory also accompanied Madonna as backing vocalist and dancer on every concert from the Who's That Girl Tour in 1987. When you think your listening to massive star power, it could be, because of her angelic voice…
I have all these memories of her being so cool, so "edgy" and "controversial", and then I look back and see her doing an interview (with REGIS, for f*ck's sake) and earnestly asking if Kathy Lee would like her movie or not... Good god. There are no words....
When she mentions MJ..she was actually very bitchy and unpleasant with him at the time and they never went out together again . It was just two occasions. They were never friends. She was very aggressive and full of herself then, even she admits that today. Maybe she's nicer now.
I’m apart of this book club and we’ve read Latoya’s, Jermaine baby momma’s, and Terrys book about the Jackson family. From my understanding MJ definitely was a bit of a diva himself and saw Madonna as competition. He even referred to her as a “bitch” because she got some award he wanted. Though the feud definitely did mellow out over the years. Prince and Michael on the other hand were very good friends behind the scenes despite they’re little fictional feud in the press. They would often get dressed up and go to each others houses to watch movies and chill out. The reason MJ didn’t like Madonna probably stemmed from his past traumas with women and owning they’re sensuality. When Michael was younger his father forced him into a room with a prostitute and his brothers often slept with girls when he was asleep in the same room.
People will call her a lot of things, but the one thing they can never call her is stupid. She is just so intelligent.

Lovely interview, I remember staying home "sick" from school to watch it the day it aired. Madonna is such a beauty here
I had the pleasure of growing up listening to Madonna , mj, prince and Whitney...I still do today....they were so unique
the interviewer handled it better than most, but you can tell he was just in awe of her beauty and demeanor.
