I got the 12 cup pitcher. I pour that water into a clear jug and put it in the refrigerator. I have six of of those half gallon jugs sitting on the bottom shelf of my refrigerator door. I have another half gallon jug with a small hole in the bottom. I pour water from the faucet into this jug and set it in the top of the zero water pitcher and just wait for it to filter. These jugs were free bottles that had apple or grape juice.
Zero water is great to use for hydroponics if you use Aerogarden Units or Miracle-Gro 12 Tables. Keeps maintenance and water changes to a minimum. So the lettuces taste great.
don't forget the pro tip that if you buy the pitcher put the new pitcher filter in the big one and put the old filter readin 006 in the pitcher, since the pitcher is now runnin it to 006 before ya dump into the larger filter container you'll extend the hell outta the new filter. than when it gets to 006 in the main do it again, put that it the pitcher and a fresh one in the main container repeat! :-)
You mean to say a Double Filtration mode ? You Place an Old filter on Top at 006 then you pass the filtered water in the New Filter in the Pitcher to extended the Filter Life ?

Just make sure you have a good diet full of minerals to replace the lost minerals from having no minerals in the water. Doesnt fit in my fridge tho which sucks.. lol. The water reader is an awesome touch. to have piece of mind that youre drinkin good water and you can test your own tap water. I think mine was 125.
My filter takes forever to drain. Water is at 0 still. Sometimes it doesn't even drain and I have water in the top. Not thrilled with this issue. The water is good tasting when I can get it to flow!
Please do a video on cleaning a zero water filter yourself, is rinsing it with cold water better then warm water ? Rinse 4 or 5 times until it reads zero again. 👍
My tap water is 136 ppm. Britta brings it down to about 100ppm. (Not the long-lasting Britta filter - that does NOTHING). The Zero filter brings it down to zero. Being a bit on the cheap side i use the regular Britta filter first and then pour that water into the large zero filter container that can go into the fridge. Zero water makes GREAT tea!! Nothing bitter.
I just bought a Zero Water Filter System and i've been doing a lot of testing or reading with the TDS Tester. My Tap water here comes out at 96 TDS. Passing it through the Zero Water Filter brings it down to 36 TDS. Now, it did not bring it down to "0" like they say but I noticed that if you re-filter the 36 TDS water batch. I got it down to 11 and even 8 TDS Level. So, you can re-filter you filtered water to lower the TDS levels even more.
Yes, that's what they say but mine is New just got it a few days ago and i can only tell you the readings. I don't know if I should contact the company and tell them my reading s. And i was testing it while i was priming the filter. How many times do you fill up the water container from the Zero Filter and leave the whole things filter the water out - To be ready to go ?
Check the seal, maybe some of the tap water is leaking through. It does need to be twisted in firmly so it is a good seal. It should go to zero when new and for the first 20 gals or so.
Yes, indeed , i just seen another You Tube explaining the same thing. The water must only drain though the small bottom hole. Mine is leaking out around the blue seal.
Have had mine for about two months. AZ pretty much has the worst water, we had a 400+ reading. Have to replace the filter quite a bit here, gets a pretty strong lemon taste in about 2/half to 3 weeks. It's worth it though.
LOL. I lived most of my life in the area where that is so true. I love zero filters. Even now up here in N. AZ. where the water is much better but still won't make a good cup of tea without the filter.
I agree with your comment about younger/weight being more affected with the toxins which will lead me to ask. Any chance of the entire plastic pitcher chassis and filtration pod to leech plastic compounds and if so will most humans/animals filter them out due to assumingly negligible amount.
@@NoFate247 Hard to say, studies claim that most healthy adults will remove heavy metals/plastics and other harder toxins but there does not seem to be quantifiable numbers but I may not be looking hard enough. Even then it is best to not load the body with stuff to remove at all but modern era makes it practically impossible. Maybe long term use of any filters is less plastics than bottles or etc.
I have a water distiller. It always reads 0ppm.. Takes longer to prepare water but it teaches you more responsibility. I cant drink anything but distilled water because I can taste contaminants. If this pitcher does get the ppm this low it would definitely come in handling when traveling though.
I saw a video on how to make a replacement filter last longer by using the old filter to filter your tap water first then pouring that water into the new filter. Supposably that will increase the life of the new filter. This would mean however that you would need to purchase a new pitcher. Just use the filter that came in the new pitcher as your replacement filter.

I bought twice Zero water filter this month in Walmart because the taste get bad , really bad after two weeks of using it. I'm really upset because I bought twice in a month and now I got the same result after two months. I want to make a complaint but the web site I couldn't find the customer care.
The filters life span is dependent on how bad your water is. In New England our tap water is pretty good and I get a 3.5 weeks, approximately 27 gallons from my filter. If you water is less, you'll get less use of it.
35 Gallons for your water my water is probably 300 ppm so the filter probably wouldn't even last 30 gallons that won't even last one week in my house! So I would have to buy a filter every week or two? lol I just bought the Zero Water filter and two shower filters plus the tester yesterday for $59.99 free shipping
@@NoFate247 Now there's something else I came across a story on google from 2016 where a woman asked her friend who works making water filters and says that he wouldn't recommend anyone the Zero Water Filter because he says water is not meant to drunk completely depleted of everything he says that drinking water with no chlorine in it or having water with no chlorine with it makes the filter and water a breeding ground for bacteria in the air he said if anyone does get a zero water filter to clean it out every 12 hours! I know I won't be able to do that every 12 hours! Lol I just hope that they've improved it since then I would have to talk to customer service
@sploofmonkey not really a fraud as it's been tested to take unsafe levels of leads to very safe levels, so having one of these would of been a huge advantage in the Flint Michigan water crisis as just one example. I'm not saying that some amount of their PPM isn't just marketing spiel as many minerals are good PPM. It just depends on what you desire your filtration system to do. I like the fluoride and chlorine stripped from my tap and like to know if there is ever a lead leak in my area or pipes and several other dangerous things It's got me covered as well :-)

You get tons of minerals in your food, vitamins, etc. You don't need extra minerals in your water. Although they aren't bad for you, it's certainly hard to remove impurities and leave the trace minerals.
@@NoFate247 I'm surprised you aren't aware of how acidic zerowater causes water to become. I have even tested with ph strips at home and it has consistently measured below 5 even with new filters. Zerowater refuses to address the issue. It's well known that acidic foods and drinks are not ideal for human health.
I bought my Zero water filter a couple of years ago. Live in NYC, where my tap water test anywhere from 25 to 35 on any given day. (Mostly 25ppm.) The Zero water filters last me anywhere from 4.5 to 6 months with a zero reading. So the cost of the filters really isn't that bad for me, considering it only averages about 20 to 24 bucks a year (rough guess). For the amount of filtered tap water I use, it's a great deal. I use it for cooking, making tea, coffee, ice cubes, drinking, and just about everything except showering. (I have a different filter for that). LOL Either way, my small family consumes a lot of water so we are definitely happy with this filter.

Can use white vinegar to clean interior and run thru the valve to get rid of funky germs or any residue. I use zero water for all cooking and drinking and wash it this way every filter change if not more frequently. Three years and my countertop dispenser is functioning well.

It keeps vital minerals, like Calcium, Potassium, Sodium, Magnesium, Chloride and phosphorus. (How many others do that ?) Filters out a large percentage of just about everything you don't need. The filters last a long time, (760 litres.)

less than 125 is very good, what state you rockin?
My tap water shows 30 ppm. I live in the Seattle area. I guess makes sense with all the rain 😂.

You need to poor the water in slow to avoid air bubbles. Clear the air bubbles and it'll open up

No priming is needed. Just remove your filter, put it in again to make sure it is in snug, and you should be good to go.

I just got my ZeroWater pitcher and the water in Buckeye Az, tested at 860. Filters will not last long I bet.
No they won't. If you have older pipes, try running the water in the AM a bunch before using. Might help improve that number.

Have you ever done a pH test? Its been said zero water filters results in a more acidic water.
my2sintz have not done a pH test haven't had any issues that I noticed so far
