I recently bought a zero water and was shocked how good it is. It actually comes with a TDS TESTER. It’s basically as good as distilled water. My Brita jug is used now for wolfing the water filled by Zero water because it takes forever for the water to pass through.so now I have twice as much water in the fridge.
My parents have always been a supporter on ZERO water . The Very Fact that the CEO of ZERO showed up for the interview (to stand by his products and even express his disappointment in advertising and 98%, says a whole lot about how serious he takes the products) Why didnt the other CEO/ representatives bother to show up or comment? makes you wonder...
They contacted all the companies with the results and Zero came out #1 so I think it was a great opportunity for the company to send out their CEO to further market their product.
I’ve used Zerowater for years. Some filters last about a month before getting to 6. Some last only a week to get there. It is not cheap, but sometimes you get what you pay for. I’m glad that this test confirmed a few things for me.
I’ve been using ZeroWater for several years now and it’s just awesome! My tap water has a reading of over 400 and it’s gross. I fill at least one Contigo (Stainless steel) from my ZeroWater which stays in my fridge whenever I leave my apartment. I get about 4-6 weeks out of a filter and 90% of what I drink is water and occasionally juice. I get my filters at Bed Bath and Beyond and use my 20% coupon that I get every month. I just ordered more because they were on sale, plus my 20% coupon, so it was less than $8 CDN per filter. Unless you have a Reverse Osmosis system, ZeroWater is the ONLY way to go! I almost never drink pop (soda), so what I save there, I use for my ZeroWater filters.
keep drinking that zero water and you will fck yourself up.. it lower the ph and remove all the good minerals. you will flush all good vitamin and minerals out your body and it will damage your kidneys from acidic ph, all leading to some pretty serious health problems.. best way to go is high quality ro and remineralization system
My wife ordered a Zero Water filter and we tested it last night. Control being tap, Experimental groups being our Brita and the new Zero Water one. Brita was 192 TDS while the tap was 232. We thought the meter was broken once we tested the Zero Water sample because it just read 000. When.we put it back into the others, we cleaned house. Dog water changed. Kettle water dumped. Ice trays dumped. You name it. And to think we were just not cleaning our electric kettle enough to prevent the buildup. That was all the solids. Props to Zero Water and we ordered another pitcher and 3 more filters last night.
just remember to switch out filter every 20-40 gallons of water depending on zero water filter desc. try to keep it frigerated and submerged(filled ptichers) since the filters are meant to be submerged drying/warmth might cause long term bacterial growth in filter although these are high quality filters so should function even in that case(if cleaning filter every 20-40 gallons prob dont even need to worry about those things anyways since youre switching out filters monthly /regularly at the very least.
By far, the best review I've watched. I was pleased to see them take it to a testing facility and adding the exact same contaminate levels to each of the water samples, THEN testing each filter separately. I wish they had gone a couple of steps further to test for other possible contaminates found in some water supplies, natural, municipal or manufactered but I guess that Zero Water most likely would handle those very well also. If anyone knows of any videos showing that kind of extra testing please share. I have saved this video to show friends, family and anyone else interested.
@@janetbishop6031 You need to pay less attention to these ridiculous reviews you're talking about. You sound like an idiot. Have you ever heard that people will gladly complain about things they don't like but not mention the things they have no problems with? I have a zero water filter and my well water sometimes has some sediment in it, which clogs up filters even faster. It also has higher levels of TDS. One zero water filter easily lasts 2-3 months. That's filtering all drinking water for 2 adults, as well as water for a few other uses.
@@janetbishop6031 my tap water is over 400 ppm, and my filters last me about a month. I pretty much drink only water (no pop) and very occasionally juice, so what I save in not buying pop (soda) and I generally pay $8 to $10 for a ZeroWater filter….so it’s actually only about $10 a month

I bought the zero water three months ago and I’m loving it. It pays off. I don’t go through back pain buying big gallons of water. And the water taste good…
We moved to NJ from NY three years ago, and the taste difference in the water was incredible. Our Brita pitcher filter did virtually nothing to improve the taste. I gave Zero Water a try, and the entire family agrees that the water tastes great. Even when my father in laws who lives on Staten Island visits - so the taste of better water is more recent on his pallet and minds - he says the Zero Water is great. And that's just taste. Seeing the lab results in this video are a bonus.
I stayed in a subdivision built in the mid 1950s. I bought a countertop filter. They were monkeying around with the water mains. The filter was picking up hunks of probably rust visible to the naked eye . 1/16 of an inch. Gag. I think it was a Brita. It worked!

@@livonia1807 that's an old wives tale. There is no scientific evidence that suggests that drinking zero ppm water, or distilled water strips minerals and nutrients from your body. At worst it strips the minerals and other disolvable solids from your mouth. Your body should have plenty of nutrients from food if you eat anything that has substance
@@livonia1807 WTF are you smoking 😂😂 It does not affect the ph at all whatsoever, I've tested my waters ph before and after being filtered and it remains at optimal levels. As for the vitamins and minerals as long as ppl maintain somewhat of a healthy diet theres more than enough vits and minerals in fruits and vegetables, if one was really concerned they could chew on a multi vitamin
We live in rural WI, in an area with poor water quality. We run the tap water into the Britta, then pour the 1/2 clean water into the Zero, & drink from that.
One thing I like about Zero Water is the way you test the purity of the water. The pitchers come with a simple device that gives you a number, and 0 is perfect, 6 is time to change the filter (or is it 3?). Before I use the filter, my tap water is 44! Make that what you will.
In farmington, Utah, my tap water registers 300~. The ZERO water takes it to 0 but the filter hits 6 in a week. I don’t change the filter until about 50. Bottled water reads about 90-110!!!! Not sure how accurate the test meter is.
@@oakpal OMG!, that is very high! I live in New York City, and the reading is about 35 to 40+ lately. Before ZERO, I was drinking bottled water until somebody pointed out that tap water was just as good, and they were right. I don't know how accurate the meter is either, but what I do know is that once I run the water through the filter, it goes from a certain number to zero.
Zerowater works amazing for our hard water in Phx AZ. Funny enough, I was unsure about buying it at first. But the information on the box won me over. Now, seeing all these tests, I'm glad I got it!
@@DerekP2050 I wish I had educated myself & realized it would make my water taste like horrible lemonade in less than a month, despite saying 0 impurities. Spending more than average on filters every half-month is worst.
@@FaithandNova You just contradicted yourself. "I educate myself.". "I never heard of them because They didn't advertise to me.". Educating yourself doesn't require others tell you what to do consumer. Simple google searches into best water filter show zero water all over. The problem is we have reached a point where people are too lazy or too stupid to follow anything except commercialism.
I have an in-line filtration system that’s takes my water down to between 9-15 ppm of dissolved solids. I then run that water thru my zero water filter, and my filter lasts a Very long time! 😄
Be careful of that position. Filters can harbor huge bacterial colonies inside the filters themselves. The containers and all parts should be periodically cleaned with soap and water to remove any spores. This is especially a problem with fixed filters in appliances like refrigerators where you can't clean the lines and only replace the filters.
I just bought a zerowater filter and they suggest replacing the filter when it gets to 6 ppm. My bottled water I used to buy tests at 37-41 ppm based on which sample I tested. The water that comes from the soda fountain in the restaurant where I work tests at 167 ppm. That's after a two stage commercial filter. My tap water at home tests over 900 but varies from day to day. It should be noted that there are contaminants that can be harmful that do not show up in a tds test. The EBA standard is 15 ppb which most home TDS testers can't even detect as they only go down to 1000 ppb (= 1 ppm). I use test strips that test over twenty contaminants. This showed dangerous levels of lead in my tap water but zerowater reduced it down to an amount too small to see with the tester though it does show up on a test strip.
I know this is 6 years old. But from reading countless reviews and videos, this news report was the best. They did what other reviews didn't, take the filters to a lab and test the water. Zerowater demonstrates so much confidence in their water they get you a device to measure the water. Is Zerowater expensive, yes. Not a cheap product, but the quality is there. I live in AZ, where the TDS in the water is high, so I do go through filters in about a month.
i have a zerro and i have sulfer water. without boiling it my water is 189. i boil it and it goes to 59. When i boil it then out it thrj the zero it goes to 32. This is such an amazing water filter. Best $50 ever spent for my home.
Own a $32 Zero water filter for years and would not trade it for any other available on the market today. Water quality from our local provider is pretty good at 253 parts per million and my tester shows 0000 after filtration. After using 2-3 gallons per day the tester will show 0006 after 30 to 35 days which according to the instructions call for a new cartridge. Since the water still tastes good, and to save money I leave the filter in place for another ten days. Replacement cartridges cost between $12 and $15 a piece. Last batch of ten cartridges I purchased on line from Walmart. The total cost was $80. Hope I can still get it at this price since I only have four cartridges left. Was initially considering a beautiful stainless steel Berkey for $300 but the Zero filter is the top performer.
@@jpierrot7224 filters are only meant to go for 20-40 gallons read the desc , otherwise change to the useless ineffective popular brand filters that will last longer but filter ineffectively for their lifespan. there are few high quality water filters zerowater coming with a 5 stage filtration system.

We were looking for a water filter about 6 or so years ago and happened to grab the zero since it included a TDS tester which I though was cool. It’s the best tasting water I’ve ever had in my 40 years. My parents always used Pur and my in laws are die hard Brita people and they both taste nasty when I go visit. I recommend zero to everyone I know.
I got rid of my Brita when I learned it took out magnesium, which we need to be healthy. I just tested San Francisco tap water with an EC meter and it was 0.1. Distilled water from Safeway was 0.0. You should add sea salt to the water to restore the minerals. 1/2 tsp/gal.
@@bulidrians2182 True, but I still find it bizarre that they consider magnesium to be a bad thing. I've gone over to distilled water with some sea salt added. Without that it tastes metallic to me.
i JUST received my first ZeroWater pitcher today. the Pur is in the closet, waiting for the recycling bin. I couldn't even FIND (locally) original filter replacements for the Pur.
I have a well with sediment filter, water softener, carbon filter, ultra-violent light filter and a Pur filter on the tap. I then filter it though the Zero water filter for drinking - it's the best tasting water and I gulp it down every day. It's almost like juice it tastes so good.
The best “Water Purification System” is “Berkey”, in my opinion. It removes “Lead” and a host of many other contaminants. I just brought one a month and the purchases of bottled for have gone considerably. Forget the rest, just go with “Berkey”.
It does make it taste like distilled water, good for the coffee maker or adding lemon to your water. It takes too long to filter 7 cups of water and the TDS meter included is a sales gimmick, depending what the dissolved solid is they could even be good for you. Use it if you have a boil alert after boiling your water.
I live in Michigan and I didn't know until recently just how bad the tap water is around here. Like I'm literally too scared to drink it right now. After reading up and then seeing this video, I'm really thinking the zero water is the way to go.
Yeah, I like my zero water filter. The only thing you really have to worry about is bacteria buildup. If you buy these in bulk for a year it's way cheaper than buying say 24-packs of bottled water.
I have a 2 year old zero water filter that filters water and have used 2 different TDS meters showing 000ppm. I was gone for 6 months doing "fun" military stuff, and after it being old and dried out, the water it produced was apparently pure and clean. My city has horrid water(according to EWG website that shows chems in your local water). But I realized these filters don't really filter out harmful chemicals/pharmaceuticals. Seems like they only filter out minerals your body needs, and definitely a few harmful substances here and there. I have to put minerals in the filtered water for it to taste good and not give me a headache, but, could just be my city water. And yes I have a different brand pitcher/filter I'm also using which is very similar in taste, headaches and filters not going bad(not pur or brita). I could just have 2 TDS meters that are bad even though one is new and they can both give me the same reading from the tap. I'm just gonna do the smart thing and buy into a full reverse osmosis and filtration system. Expensive, but pays for itself over time. I'll always remember the good old days of drinking warm metallic tasting waster from the spicket when it was scorching out and we were dying of thirst haha😂
Zero water filters are very expensive but I'm a huge fan. However lately two out of every four filters in the package don't work. The water runs right through them very quickly and reads at 116 instead of 000. Wondering what other system to try.

I'm really upset because I bought twice in a month and now I got the same result after two months. I want to make a complaint but the web site I couldn't find the customer care.
I've been using Zero for three years and everything was fine. Recently I got a four pack of filters on line, put one and noticed cloudy water coming out the bottom. It didn't seem right so I tested it with the TDS meter and it said 384. Tested the remaining three filters and the same. It said on the box they are made in Mexico. Called Zero water and they said they would replace them free of charge. That sounded fine, but why did that happen in the first place? Maybe nobody in Mexico doing quality control. Zero water might not know what they're doing down there. It could happen again, then no water till I go to the store. I can't drink my well water it's full of calcium. Ordered the American made Nano system from Colorado. Waiting for it so I can test the water with the TDS meter. The Aqua pure filters that replace the Zero filters in their pitcher are made in China, screw that. Chuck Fina!
Remember we are humans so we all make mistakes including those Humans "not animals like Trump thinks they are" in Mexico , what counts is that you corrected the problem and gave us heads up.
I have noticed sometimes I have to run water through my pitcher and toss it the first time I open a new filter sometimes, then it goes back to 000 reading.
So glad I posted this, I was going to buy the off brand until I read this. Only zero water real deal version then. I think I would save a whole 5 bucks. Lol not worth it
They didn't test everything found in water though. How about organics such as viruses and bacteria or pharmaceuticals? Also didn't test the filters performance when it comes to micron size removal. What's the smallest particles the filter can remove? Not a well rounded test I'm afraid.
Zero does indeed do a great job of removing the bad stuff- but it removes the good stuff too. MAKE SURE you eat a balanced diet and then, by all means, wash it down with ZeroWater. Best of heath to all.
The CEO said something that can be misinterpreted and also dangerous. ALWAYS wear your seatbelt. Also, when it comes to moving vehicles in general: if you are riding your bike, wear the appropriate safety equipment, especially a helmet. There should be laws that say everyone should be wearing a helmet.
No mention at all of chlorine, fluoride, pharmaceuticals, or many other types of toxins. As for those TDS's, some are actually valuable. But this type of "study" is about what you'd expect from a TV expose.
I have had the 20 cup container for about two and a half years now. I love Zerowater. Each filter lasts me about a month. I live alone. I even use it for ice trays.
One month? That’s so little. You should get another container and use the older filter and pour it to the new filter… it’ll make ya filter last longer.
You don't want a DTS free water filter because it removes all of the good minerals that you need. There are some on the market that do not remove the needed minerals but do remove 99% of harmful contaminates including lead.
Missing from this story is Berke and Alexapure... Both considered excellent in this space. Also, not explored are home filtration and triple osmosis units that go under sink.
I got a zero water six months ago. Excellent. I tested it and every time 000 ppm. I e tested 3 brands, and my fridge filter, all at least 400-800 ppm. Zero is awesome. $28 Amazon. Project Farm tested 14 brands on RUclips. Zero kicked ass
I've been using it for 3 years now, everything was great then got a four pack online. Put a new one in and noticed cloudy water coming out. So I tested it with the TDS meter and it said 384. I looked at the box and it said made in Mexico. Called Zero water and they said they would replace them free of charge. That's great, but if it happens again then I'm off to the store for water again. Check the water every time you replace the filter. I just ordered the American made Nano from Colorado, filters made in America too.
Just watched the Project Farm video on water filters, they showed similar results to the labratory. Basically only ZeroWater and AquaTru are the only products that do 99%+ filtering, and AquaTru does a slightly worse job at over 15x the cost. After seeing the CEO be honest and say if the water is safe, you probably won't have an issue, but same with seat belts, I'm switching to a ZeroWater filter. Should also save me from having to buy distilled water for my CPAP
Zero water is really good, i semi healed my self from an auto immune using this water alone on a fast. But if i had to do it again i would buy a distiller....but never the less good product zero water
Sure, would be nice if the box had some photos or if the instruction booklet had some photos on which way to turn the pieces so I knew if I had them upright or upside down that would be a good thing to add for regular normal human beings so they know they're putting it back together correctly.
Brita tastes TERRIBLE if you ask me. Zero Water has been on my to buy list. I’m so happy to see this as I’ve been looking for additional source of water than buying Crystal Geyser all the time. I started using almost no tap water besides washing dishes/hands so this is incredibly helpful.
love my Zero Water, only down is the time it takes,, also I found it comes up short on 12 cups, the 2nd fill takes longer, if I dump to extra water it helps speed up, I found burping the bubbles first also helps.............
I have an unused filter for several years that was in the sealed bag and not exposed to moisture. The TDS showed 000 but I also tested the pH level and it was very low, 4.0 yellow zone. Why is that? Thanks in advance.
How are they trying to say the other products have "longer life span" if it was shown that they don't really work? Your product lifespan is 0 if it doesn't actually do the job it's alive for. "My car doesn't have an engine, but it'll last a heck of a long time!" 🤣🤣🤣
But it doesn't test for flouride only lead which is bad but how do u know flourides good is calsifies your pineal gland in the brain which keeps people dumb no theory it's a science fact but big company's that get your money are the ones who fund the testing so they always win follow the money and find the facts yourself it's called research.

My zero water filter is somehow releasing small hairs into my water that weren’t there before, I called for a replacement filter which they sent me for free, still finding small hairs in the water. Tests at 000 for dissolved solids, but someone small hairs that weren’t there before going through the filter. Also see small particles that weren’t in the water before. I try to convince myself they are air bubbles but they are clearly solid. Simply dumbing it through a paper towel removes it. ANY EXPLANATION??
I got a Zero Water filter last year. The directions say to fill it one way a little at a time, while the illustration on the same page shows something completely different. I emailed them and got a mindless response - contradicting both of the two other ways of filling it. Fortunately, I have decent tap water. Although if I put my zip code on the website - it says 322, the actually meter reads 55. The filtered water still reads 0 - even after 10 months.
There is a way to extend life of 0 water: get second filter & use in second pitcher when reaches level 6 & use that water to filter in pitcher with new filter & will double life of 0 water new filter
I think if you send them back the filter you get a discount or something on future purchase. I think if you send back like 3-4 filters they give you one free. You should read their site.
Zerowater after getting some good reviews for 2021 have increased their filter prices. I just got mine and says my filter will be good for 15-25 gallons. I plan to keep my jug refrigerated 24/7 and shall see ?
So at 3:47 Zero admits that their filters have shorter lifespans, thus making them more expensive. There are many reviews on amazon where people report getting bad tasting (acidic) water after only two weeks. That's what held me back from buying a Zero Water pitcher.
The lifespan of the filter is determined by the amount of TDS in the water. Here is a chart with estimates for filter life expectancy based on TDS levels: www.zerowater.com/images/tds-chart.jpg
The Zero water tastes great. We bought one, but can't afford the filters as we have to change them after about 20 gallons of water. It starts tasting sour, then smells like dirty shoes before it registers on their included TDS meter. I really want to like this product, but just can afford it.
Oh wow I just start using my zero water filters got for Christmas last year! Glad I have this one. My parents have used Brita since they first got popular.
If "price affects performance" all they'd have to do is raise the price to improve performance. The question is, "Is performance reflected in the price?"

Zero water is a fantastic product I've been using for a few years now, yest the filters are expensive, and I wish zero did an in store swap facility for the recycling of the filters, but it's a very good filter and they should promote their product better.
Zero has nothing to hide. But looks like Pur does. I have owned a Pur for years, and just bought a Zero. Tested my water through the Pur filter, and without, just out of the tap, and they were the same 68. So, shows, Pur does nothing! Wonder if the others are the same in that test.
I live in Michigan and my quality of water has me questioning how good is for me so a zero water filter is a great product but how do we replace all the helpful minerals that get filtered out with the harmful ones we need calcium, magnesium and potassium but not copper and lead so what do I do?
I live in So. Michigan and our tap water register's 249 with the Zero Water gauge. I buy Real Salt and Himalayan salt and mix them half and half and add to my water in a glass or bottle to replenish the minerals . Seems to be working fine.

You need to read the reviews. The filters only last a few days. $30 a week for filters Is ridiculous

I bought a Zero because of it claim to filter lead and other contaminants, thanks for backing up the claim.

Got your pitcher. This thing is absolutely nuts. Saving my life!! My prayers have been answered
I stayed in a subdivision built in the mid 1950s. I bought a countertop filter. They were monkeying around with the water mains. The filter was picking up hunks of probably rust visible to the naked eye . 1/16 of an inch. Gag. I think it was a Brita. It worked!
Great report. Appreciate that it was done in a scientific manner.
When I tell people filling up at water stations about zero water they look at me like I’m crazy.
probably because you are.. keep drinking that zero water and you will fck yourself up.. it lower the ph and remove all the good minerals. you will flush all good vitamin and minerals out your body and it will damage your kidneys from acidic ph, all leading to some pretty serious health problems.. best way to go is high quality ro and remineralization system

@@dianneladydianne Frizzlife - PD600-TAM3
@@livonia1807 that's an old wives tale. There is no scientific evidence that suggests that drinking zero ppm water, or distilled water strips minerals and nutrients from your body. At worst it strips the minerals and other disolvable solids from your mouth. Your body should have plenty of nutrients from food if you eat anything that has substance
@@livonia1807 WTF are you smoking 😂😂

We live in rural WI, in an area with poor water quality. We run the tap water into the Britta, then pour the 1/2 clean water into the Zero, & drink from that.
One thing I like about Zero Water is the way you test the purity of the water. The pitchers come with a simple device that gives you a number, and 0 is perfect, 6 is time to change the filter (or is it 3?). Before I use the filter, my tap water is 44! Make that what you will.
Your tap water is decent like mine. So I like that it last for a decent amount of time for me.
My water’s reading was 116 cold, twice that hot.
Zerowater works amazing for our hard water in Phx AZ. Funny enough, I was unsure about buying it at first. But the information on the box won me over. Now, seeing all these tests, I'm glad I got it!
Never heard of ZeroWater, but after watching this Video I'm definitely getting one!

@A. Northrup yea...pure water is more acidic than tap water. also that alkaline stuff is all bs

You're another Einstein aren't you! Drink tap water and then if you get sick...SUE THE CITY AND STATE!
That cuz waters supposed to have minerals in it naturally. It's not supposed to be zero
My zero water filter lasted considerably longer than the Brita or the Pur that I had previously used.

You can get your magnesium from something else it's not that important lmao.
@@bulidrians2182 True, but I still find it bizarre that they consider magnesium to be a bad thing. I've gone over to distilled water with some sea salt added. Without that it tastes metallic to me.

The best “Water Purification System” is “Berkey”, in my opinion. It removes “Lead” and a host of many other contaminants. I just brought one a month and the purchases of bottled for have gone considerably. Forget the rest, just go with “Berkey”.
Zero Water. Best quality consumer product ever made 👍
It does make it taste like distilled water, good for the coffee maker or adding lemon to your water.
After reading up and then seeing this video, I'm really thinking the zero water is the way to go.
i think the whole nation knows how bad it is...
Please do. It's kinda expensive, but it's the best so far..
The free market doing a better job than government! Love it.
Zero water filters are very expensive but I'm a huge fan. However lately two out of every four filters in the package don't work. The water runs right through them very quickly and reads at 116 instead of 000. Wondering what other system to try.

They didn't test everything found in water though. How about organics such as viruses and bacteria or pharmaceuticals?

There should be laws that say everyone should be wearing a helmet.
No mention at all of chlorine, fluoride, pharmaceuticals, or many other types of toxins. As for those TDS's, some are actually valuable. But this type of "study" is about what you'd expect from a TV expose.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to have lead sensors built into home water systems
Sure, would be nice if the box had some photos or if the instruction booklet had some photos on which way to turn the pieces so I knew if I had them upright or upside down that would be a good thing to add for regular normal human beings so they know they're putting it back together correctly.
