    Glad to finally be able to put some faces and names on the previously abstract geniuses that helped make these wonderful cameras for years, now.
    Thanks for making this doc !
    And props for being one of Fujifilm's inspiration for the Eterna simulation ! Your actions have a ripple effect on hundreds of thousands of people's lives, now !

    Wow! What a great project, well done to all. Thanks so much to Fuji for allowing us a peak inside behind the curtain to where the magic happens. I have been using Japanese cameras for more than 30 years, and found it fascinating to see some of the people behind the products. I have so much respect for the abilities of people that are able to conceive of, engineer and produce the technology that enables me to produce images of the world. Much respect. Dōmo arigatōgozaimashita.

    Fantastic view into the world of a camera manufacturer. The world of photography cameras is evolving in giant steps these days. Thank you for making this video and also much thanks to Fuji for being so candid and forthright both in the greatness of this camera but also its weak points. Admitting that shows how committed they are to achieving greatness in a product.

    Best content regarding the GFX100! I am looking forward to the part of Taiwa factory tour and the cameras assembly. I feel they could make GFX100S by taking out the grey battery grip section at the bottom of GFX100 and insert the battery in the grip making the camera lighter (about 850grams), and smaller, and everything else the same. That size and weight is still a bit too overwhelming especially with the size of the lens on offer. Either way, looking great for the future!

    I got my gfx 100 just few weeks ago. It has been always my dream to buy it after gfx 50S. What an unbelievable documentary !!!! Thank you very much for this. Mind blowing how people come together and create such phenomenal tool. Beast of the camera.
    EDIT : I still come back few times in a year to watch again and again this magnificent documentary. GFX 100 helped me to realize my dreams. Such an amazing camera. I'm not into GFX 100s I feel it's an imposter. Sadly GFX 100 II will have detachable grip, it would be better to have a big camera.
    Thanks again for your documentary

    This was a fascinating look behind the scenes of a company well known for NOT sharing this type of information. The Tokyo design studio is incredibly cool (especially the shelves with all of their previous creations), and I like the way you blended workshop footage with interviews of the key developers. It was already clear that this was a major, years-long project for Fujifilm, but this video really brought home the enormity of the challenge and the team's determination to get it right. I placed a pre-order the night the embargo was lifted and the first videos were released, and this first installment of your video has made me even more happy that I have an order in. Can't wait for future installments (and for the camera!).

    Thanks for this two part series. Great job !
    Fujifilm wow what a great company. I shoot Nikon but really really love the Fujifilm philosophy, customer service, design and quality of their products. If I wasn’t so heavily invested into Nikon I’d switch. I almost did when the XT2 was being developed. I think I should have switched then. But now with this camera out Fujifilm May be in my future.
    My video companies “look” is for bigger sensors. That is a combination of the sensor size , the glass and the fov you get with these . So my company wants the look of apsc or super 35 and larger. I love the big sensor look and think this camera is developing into the look I want.
    I shoot film with an old GW690ii. After one roll of this I didn’t want the 35mm film cameras anymore.
    Thanks

    The only problem I have with it is that they are calling this a medium or a large format. Fuji sensor size is 44x33mm. Medium format is 60x45mm. I think it would be fair to just call it a GFX sensor format.
    Otherwise interesting doc about a cool new product 👍🏼

    • @Altgottt
      @Altgottt 5 лет назад

      everything above full frame is medium format, theres also 40x40mm medium format, but i agree its bullshit to call it large format

    • @Pentax67
      @Pentax67 Год назад

      For your information 6x4,5 is actually in reality 56mm x 42mm. It’s not 60mm x45mm
      44x33 is still much LARGEr FORMAT than full frame 🙂
