I am so overjoyed that we get Michael and Gavin to play this. I was so worried that they'd just film it with someone in the office, so the fact they they even did this on the road so that we get to see them scared shitless is so awesome and i love it
We should really let them know that unlike in the first game they don't need to hide at any point in this game. Another tip is that this game is way more linear and there is very few times you have to back track so they should always look around for places(i.e. windows above doors, or stone ledges, Etc.) to jump to, blood to follow, or carts to interact with!!

It's amazing how many jump scares and tips they actually missed because either a) they were too scared and rushed through it, or b) they got so distracted by one small detailed and ignored everything else.

To be fair, using nightvision in the light areas had very little consequence in Outlast 1, and Michael's probably used to that. In this game it makes things extremely blurry, but that wasn't the case for the first game

Please, Please, for the love of god play on Normal. There's no reason to play on Hard, half the time you're so worried about wasting your batteries, you're not even using night vision, which makes you miss a bunch, and makes it worse for the viewer.
If you're smart about it you never run low on batteries when playing hard. As long as Michael stops using night vision AT ALL GODDAMN TIMES, they should be fine.

They miss too much and aren't playing to conserve every resource, they're playing whilst making the viewing for the audience pleasurable, which means they will try to be in night vision 90% of the time, just so we can see.
I agree, but I never see the point in them playing on hard-mode on certain games where all hard-mode does is non-damage difficulty (outlast just makes you run out of batteries more, since you pretty much will die in 1-2 hits anyway).
The rate at which they are missing batteries and the fact that Michael won't turn off the night vision in bright areas will probably lead to a very interesting little series here :3

last year I stumbled upon an outlast video that had been posted just a few minuets ago, and I watched it, laughed my ass off, and now i'm here. AH fan and watching outlast 2 :)
I love how they somehow manged to see neither hide nor hair of Marta. XD This was actually really enjoyable. The Outlast games are some of the few games I can really enjoy rewatching over and over with different players - this would be my third now for Outlast 2. And, yeah, it would benefit them to know the notes can be read in clean text without killing battery via the same method as watching the recorded videos, which themselves add some good descent into madness commentary.
Was really pumped for this to be coming out after how good the playthrough of the first one was, but i have to say i'm a bit sad that it isn't being recorded in the office. The small dark room with better sound quality made the whole video seem even better as Michael and gavin were more 'in the zone'. With this one, they seem too out of it and way too tired to be paying attention, missing a lot of stuff and just wanting to get through it. The other way seemed way more in depth, spookier and seemed to have a much higher quality value.
I guess that's what happens when the fans won't stop asking and pressuring them about a game. They probably wanted to publish the first part as fast as possible to get all those impatient fucks to shut up.

Have to agree with Gav and Michael this game doesn't have a good intro. The first Outlast made it astoundingly cleared what is the situation and still be terrifying. This one is just frustrating, not even able to clearly see what is happening in three feet front of you. If I didn't know the previous Outlast and played this, I probably would have quit without being engaged at all. 4/10 hoping it gets better
