Your story is literally the same as mine. I’ve always wanted a ‘67/68 fastback but couldn’t “afford one”. I bought a ‘68 coupe a year ago and recently purchased the fastback conversion. Went the separate parts route because of your, and many others’ advice. 🙏🏽
Yeah perfect ! I want to build a Fastback , I just need to find a coupe . I think it’s a perfect name for your project. I was 18 and I found a 67 Fastback 289 4 speed for $800. My dad saw it and no way his son was having that. Well better late then never . I am on the hunt . Thank you for the inspiration.
As an automotive RUclipsr I can say this from experience..... Recording a project takes WAAAAYYYYY more time than you think. A project that should take 3 hours takes about 5 hours with camera rolling, changing angles etc. Then there is the editing. It's "easy" to talk about cars/trucks, but making videos that people will watch and still get the information across is an art. It takes about 3 hours of footage to make a 12-15 minute video (at least with the style of editing I have chosen). All that said, I'm still looking forward to seeing what you do and how you'll present it. It's too bad the views come from the vlog style video where most people just want to be entertained. There's a gap in content for the deep dive information that you've been presenting. I hope you find it's worth your time and enough people watch to keep your content coming! I'll be saving your videos for the day when I begin my own Mustang build - yup a conversion for all the same reasons you've mentioned!
With each video you make it gives me way more confidence to give this a go! I just sold my ‘13 GT to make some room in the garage. These videos are gold. Thank you.
The biggest thing is taking your time. No need to rush, you can do it. Just a few tools a little knowledge and some simple skills and boom a dream comes true.
Excellent video and these specific measurements and how to achieve them is 100% what I am looking for 👍🎸👍Would be great to have this in a Zero to finished build. Thank you 🙇🏻🙏
Awesome vid! We have found with the roof, if you screw it down in back first, then stretch and pound the front in is the easiest. Keep up the awesome work!!
Good for you Pastor, I love seeing men of God working on cars cause besides preaching, they love cars! I started following a few others doing these and I love the idea and they look fantastic too. Lord willing, my tests come back with and news but cancer I'm going to finish my 68 Chevy Impala and may be one of these. I will subscribe to your channel. I need to do a few vieos of my car and not just my MiniMax concrete mixers and a few political TV interviews I've done for National News channels. I'll be stopping in and look at your older videos. Thank you!
@@ScottHarness1 The tests did comeback negative for cancer Praise God! Now we have to figure out what exactly is going on. Thank you for your kind words and Prayers, I truly appreciate them.
I had to remove A pillars and I am curious, if there any vertical measurements should be done within the door area (I know that the back height is important, which is 20 inches from the seam next to wheel well to the central bracket at the inner structure of QP).
Can you give a measurem from the bottom edge of the opening of the windshield up to the points on the tape where we measure from to come up with that exact measurement? 3 fingers for one person vs another might be a half inch or more which will change the measurment. Also on the measurement for the center of the back window to the roof and for the diagonal measurementis of the back window are those both from the hip?
Why not lay both glass with spacers in there? That makes it 100% no matter if your sheet metal is off. BTW: front to back roof flanges (longest measurement) can vary up to 1/4 of an inch.
You could for sure but when every thing isn’t welded it’s good to have a measurement and not risk your glass until you get it at least spot welded in. Yeah there is some variance in the flange… good points.
The interior is a list I am working on, there won't be a one shop resource unfortunately. It's going to be a bit complicated. I hope to have a parts guide for this in a month or so...

That's great! You can do it!

Also, purchased my coupe for $2,800… thank you for the content.

Your comment makes me smile. Thank you! You'll find one, and when you do send a pic. I'd love to see it. If I can help you in anyway don't hesitate.

It's true. I have more work videos to come but parts have kept me at bay for a little bit.
You hit the nail on the head. Oh and He is Risen!
Amen!

true most channels don't show the measurements to build a 67 Ford Mustang Fastback from a coupe
yeah, I think that is for a reason... They may want you to pay them to do it. Just saying. I love being able to help. New videos coming soon...

Thank you!!! That is good info!!!

Praise!!!! I’ll keep praying.
Nice work on the car, I went a different route on my 68 coupe. Look at my icon, it's my car.
That car looks incredible LOVE it. I'd like to see more pictures.
@@ScottHarness1 I only do email, can you post yours, or is it posted somewhere I can find?
I believe the hinges you referred to are Mustang Steve door hinges.
Oh shoot! You’re right. Improbably said Mustang Mike, I do that all the time!!!
Amen, brother.
Nice detail, thanks.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you!

Sorry for the slow response. If your using a complete prefab inner structure no. Can you send me a pic and I can maybe help you?

The difference would be a fraction at most.

Power nation does a good conversion video….. but your right you have to cherry pick !
Great video
What about the inside conversion? Who sells that?

Coupes are nice
Fastback are cool
Truth.
What's your address? I want to send you a nicer sweatshirt, something in purple and gold. GEAUX TIGERS! TY for your videos and time.
Lol!!!! Heck yeah. Thank you.
can't someone give me the sizes of the windshield of 69 fast back mustang ?
Man if I had that I would give it! Maybe on one of the Facebook groups? I bet someone would have it.
