    I owned one of these and shot sporting clays with it. I shot 150 to 200 rounds a week for 7 to 8 years which amounts to round 60000 to 80000 rounds over this time. I had one break down with the gun. It was a small guide arm in the trigger and it cost 3 dollars and about 3 or 4 minutes to fix, so I replaced both arms. I had to quit shooting do to severe neck problems and sold the gun for the same amount I paid for it. I also owned a 20 gauge I quail hunted with for years and never had a problem with it. Most people don't know this but the Browning b-80 is just a Beretta 303 with a different looking receiver. Beretta made the Browning but Beretta quit after some kind of dispute. Nice video. Good shooting everyone.😊😊

    I was blessed to get to know as a friend the legendary Bob Brister. If you know shotguns, you know that name. Bob passed away in 2005 and we lost one of the greats. I was shooting with Bob once when he told me that he felt that the best he'd ever shot in his life was done with a Beretta 303. If you've ever seen him shoot, you'd know what that statement meant! I am blessed to own one of his 303's in 20 gauge. What a fine firearm the 303 is!

    I use this model in 20 gauge for pheasant and quail. Great gun and versatile for clay or game.

    It is a great gun and I have shot them for many years - simple and very well balanced. I still have bits of Chris Cradock's old 303. I use both ported 30 and 32" barrels. I have actually put so many cartridges through one of mine that I've worn out its action after 200,000 plus shells. So, they are not quite indestructible but still great... wonderful guns especially if you can find the muzzle lighter ported barrels.

    Great review and happy new year to you
    I own one of these & it’s still in great condition after many years of service , it’s my go to gun for corvid and pigeon shooting and as you’ve stated it’ll cycle anything I put through it and has never let me down , absolutely cracking gun

    Oh, the one that got away... I gave my 303 to a youngster who needed an all purpose hunting gun. I seldom let guns I truly love out of my possession but bringing kids into our sport(s) is paramount to me. 12 years later, the 303 is still his number one which to me is great testament to the design and durability. Due to a neck injury, I purchased a 391 Teknys for shooting sporting clays a few years after. Great shotgun but I actually still prefer the 303. Happy New Year!

    You saved me an hour of driving tomorrow. I was going to pick up a 300 outlander but now I’m second guessing myself. A dealer closer to home has a 303 beretta in stock. It’s a lot cheaper as well.

    Great review. An old friend of mine had one of these. In fact, I have not seen him in decades and wouldn't be surprised at him still having it and shooting with it. He put thousands through it and would cycle anything.

      @@eastfieldgunroom not long ago you reviewed the Winchester 101 Diamond grade (one of which I already own)...any chance you could talk about the Miroku model 500 side-by-side, or something similar? (I'm considering one of those but can't find much on them). Just a suggestion. 🙂

    Great to see this review Matt. I think Brian Hebditch had a hand in designing the sporter 303. I bought one in 1988, wish I still had it. Would still rate it above any other auto I've owned. Happy New Year to you🎉

    I owned a Beretta 301 back in the early 80's in game guise, less engraving than the 303, but had 3 choke tubes and cannot remember any issues. It was the only semi auto I have owned. The downside is the cartridges needed to be picked up when rough shooting, which could be difficult.

    • @eastfieldgunroom
      @eastfieldgunroom  9 месяцев назад

      Thank you for your comment. The 301 was a similar gun in terms of mechanics and it's reliability paved the way for the 303. Kind regards, Matthew

    I have just bought a mint A300 with an unused silenced second barrel, I love it! My question, are the parts interchangeable up to the A303? Mine does not have the feed plate lock out, so it's a bit of a pain unloading. TIA

      @eastfieldgunroom  10 месяцев назад +2
