That’s a stunning 694 DTL Matt that’s why I bought it and it’s now all mine. Absolute great experience buying a gun from Eastfield Gunroom very private, personal, professional and enjoyable experience. I would 100% recommend anyone making a purchase from Matt and his company. Keep the videos coming mate and good look for the future. Kind regards Steve
Thank you for your comment and very kind words (apologies for the delayed reply). It was great to meet you and I am sure that the 694 will serve you well. Keep in touch Steve. Kind regards, Matthew
Great Video Matt, I am looking to buy a 694 DTL in the near future but waiting to have a look at the British shooting show at the NEC to see what possible new releases there could be or the best deal up at the show, with you guys be at the show?
Thank you for your comment, I am pleased that you enjoyed the video. I am not aware of any new releases in the 694 line but this is a very good bit of kit. I will not be exhibiting at the NEC (visiting yes) but please feel free to contact me about the 694 DTL in the review. Kind regards, Matthew
Thank you for your comment. Sadly we just don't get them over here in the UK. Happy to review one if I can get my hands on one though. Kind regards, Matthew
Nice review Matt , sorry if this is a stupid question but I was always under the impression that “ trap” style shotguns were designed to “shoot” high ? Due to the targets in trap almost always rising. Is that the case ?
Thank you for your comment, I am pleased that you enjoyed the review. As commented below barrels are usually concentric and designed to shoot at point of impact. The variation tends to come in with the addition of different ribs and the ability to change the POI with hangers etc like on a Krieghoff. Kind regards, Matthew
I do not understand such a thin recoil pad, it should be 1 inch thick. I also wish you would have told dimensions in inches as well. Nice review. Has there been any changes to forearm to prevent cracking ?
Thank you for your comment and kind words. I believe that these days the recoil reduction emphasis is more on the barrel technology (forcing cones etc) than the thickness of the recoil pad. Here in the UK we do not work in inches in terms of stock dimensions but a quick Google will help with conversion.I have not heard of that many 694 forends cracking. Kind regards, Matthew
Can you remove the trigger on it like the DT11 and is there barrel selector on it, also which is a better version to buy 694 dtl trap or 694 sporting for all rounder gun
Thank you for your comment. The 694 series does not have a detachable trigger but both the sporting and DTL models have a barrel selector. Personally I prefer the feel and handling of the DTL. Kind regards, Matthew
Hey Matt, greetings from the US! Could you do a review or provide any information on a Miroku 850 with the engraving and the scrollback action? I would greatly appreciate it.
Good morning I would like your opinion I only shoot the DTL with a high aim I tried the new Sylver Pigeon DTL and also the 694 DTL My conclusion apart from the quality of the conons of the 694 I did not find any difference which justifies double the price What do you think ? THANKS Sincerely
Thank you for your comment. Here in the UK we don't really have the Silver Pigeon DTL because Miroku is the king of DTL here. In my opinion there is no comparison between the two guns. The 694 has better feel, balance, lower recoil, better trigger pulls. That said if you cannot feel the difference or see the difference in price then I would suggest that you go with the Silver Pigeon for now. I hope this helps. Kind regards, Matthew
Thank you for your comment. The 3/4 and full choke set up is too tight for steel. You would require nothing more than a maximum of half (modified). Kind regards, Matthew
I bought a 694 sporting for my son, got home and realized the barrels were stamped trap/dtl. Came with extended chokes ut the forend is a sporter. Everything else is the same.
Thank you for your comment. The Trap/DTL model has different stock dimensions, different rib and different weight barrels. I am not quite sure why yours would be the same as a sporter. Kind regards, Matthew
Thank you for sharing this precious information in an interesting manner. I recently started following your channel.Since, you mentioned DTL can be used for all sporting clays, how do you compare this with ghe ACS model. Which one would you recommend between the two, if both guns fit exactly the same. Thank you in advance....
Thank you for your comment. I am pleased that you found the video interesting. Personally I am not a fan of high adjustable ribs (high fixed ribs yes). The ACS will not fit the same as the DTL as the stock dimensions are different. Personally I believe that the 694 DTL is an excellent allrounder. The current 694 range has a number of options available. Kind regards, Matthew
Thank you for your comment. Typically not as much as 70/30 more like 60/40 on dedicated trap guns with different barrel configurations to their sporting counterparts. Kind regards, Matthew
look forward to seeing the new hair cut in the next review😂😂one question with the higher ribbed guns is the point of aim the same, sorry but I have never shot one.
Thank you for your comment Merv. Thankfully haircut is sorted! Certainly with higher ribbed guns the POI will be different. In the example of something like an MK38 though the barrels on the trap and sporter are the same. Kind regards, Matthew

The 694 is an excellent shotgun.

Excellent video, thank you Matt
Glad you liked it! Kind regards, Matthew
I’d love to see what you guys have to say about the American market Brownings. Being the Citori CX, CXS and CXT
Thank you for your comment. Sadly we just don't get them over here in the UK. Happy to review one if I can get my hands on one though. Kind regards, Matthew
@@eastfieldgunroom I figured as much. As an American, I’m annoyed that we don’t get the full selection of brownings and get zero mirokus.
Nice review Matt , sorry if this is a stupid question but I was always under the impression that “ trap” style shotguns were designed to “shoot” high ? Due to the targets in trap almost always rising. Is that the case ?
Most trap guns and sporting guns use the exact same barrels.
What dictates how high it shoots it how much rib you see (within reason).
Thank you 👍

Can the trap edition with fixed chokes shoot steel shot 24 gr shells ?

What is the point of impact on the trap gun 70/30? Vs Sporting 50/50?

DT11보다 나무재질이나 쇠재질이 좀 안좋아 보이네요ㅋㅇㅋ 9:22
Thank you for your comment. With respect the 694 is half of the cost of a DT11. There are going to be differences throughout. Kind regards, Matthew
