- I have been using the Helinox Cot One Convertible Long Lightweight camp cot now for well over a year. At only 2.7KG it is well suited for any Travel where size and weight are at a premium, it could via 4WD, Motorbike or even on foot. It's perfect for light campers - the very light yet strong Cot One Convertible from Helinox gets you off the cold ground and away from any insects, mud or other unpleasantries.

Mate great info vid, seem's a great product with low weight and comfort. Thanks😎
Excellent review. Thanks! I'm convinced :-)
Glad I could help!
Another excellent review!
Thanks again!
Good job. Got the information I was looking for (also from the comments).
Glad I could help
I have South African friends who have the chairs of the same brand and they swear by them so I got some and they’re great!!
Thanks for uploading the stretcher video food for thought
Quality video as always 🤙🏽
Thanks for sharing!!
I own one of these and an Oztent stretcher and it is by far the most comfortable of the two. And I think not significantly more difficult to set up either.
Comfort when sleeping is really important and hard to put a price on. Also this will last a very long time too.
Space and weight are really important and Helinox are hard to beat.
Its too narrow as for me. I would prefer at least 70 cm.
thanks for the review - greetings from germany
My pleasure!, i’m in Germany as we speak lol
@@AlloffroadAu great - where exactly and can we expect a video in the future?
Were gonna need you to goto the snow this year buddy pleaseeeeee (cya up there!
I have just been using my Cot One, for the past 2 weeks, I bought a second hand insulated mat they make, and found it more comfortable than the standard mat!
Can highly recommend the company as I have also bought their chair one as well, this is as excellent as all their products, remember you get what you pay for!
Bottom line aint never going to be quality, comfortable or have a long service life!!
Thanks for sharing!
Moin
Bummer….
Helinox super stretcher 340.- Euro today in DE plus 100.- for the legs. Guess must wait for a special offer!
Is on the shopping list
Thank for the vid
Cheers
yes not cheap that’s for sure also 5 years warranty in Europe? Legs probably good if you do cold stuff the higher up in a tent the better
I have 2 of their zero chairs that live permanently in my drawers
The space saved is invaluable, it allows me to take more glamping items
No doubt these stretchers are the same mine weighs 10kg!!
Time to replace
the stretcher is brilliant mate
After doing some research I found a similar product by TKO camping gear
At $89 I thought I would buy it from Amazon and check it out
I love helinox gear but $500 x 2 (my wife needs one) I could get something similar for a fraction of the cost
I was very impressed when it arrived today, it pulls super tight and comes with an inflatable pillow
It weighs 2 kg which is lighter than the Helinox cot 2.315kg and made of quality materials
It really is a no brainer the TKO wins this contest
Hm, looks interesting I'm sure it wins the weight and price contest, but quality wise I have yet to see a cheaper product (and I tested a few chairs) that matches Helinox quality. It does come at a price though.
@@AlloffroadAu like I said I was impressed, also it’s a lot simpler so less to go wrong
No levers or pins for sand to get into
I’m an engineer so I know what works and doesn’t, and simple things have a habit of working
I may have to give it a go
@@AlloffroadAu if you buy 2 it will save you over $800
I personally have helinox chairs and understand their quality, this is 90% there at a fraction of the price
yea agree if they are good that makes a huge difference $500 is a lot for a plain stretcher
Is there a reason why you didn't buy the MAX version? It is just as long but 2" wider? Noticed the MAX has 4 cross support bars while the LONG version only has 3 bars. Curious if the MAX creates more tension than the LONG version.
Curious about this as well. I just bought the cot lite and intend on having a cot lite for backpacking and a cot max for campsite camping
Awesome, thanks
Looks great but I think the set up time would annoy me.
yea I thought the same when starting with Helinox chairs, thought it would super annoy me to assemble them but to be honest used them for 3 years now and assembly is so quick, same with stretcher less then 3 minutes once you do it a few times
@@AlloffroadAu ok thanks, might have to go and have a look at it then.
LMAO it takes two minutes. Wow I thought that I was lazy 😂
ginglish... hilarious
hero comment, how many languages have you self taught?
This is a far to expensive item for what it is. …..but quality does look nice.
it is expensive, but so are many things, if weight and size is a priority it's worth it especially with a 5 years warranty
@@AlloffroadAu
What you’re paying for is the significant R&D that goes into these products.
Most stretchers are copies made in China
Securing Patents is also a hidden cost
When someone say “it’s expensive “ what they are really saying they are not making enough $ yet lol
Far too expensive
it is expensive, but so are many things, if weight and size are a priority it's worth it, especially with a 5 years warranty. If not it's probably overkill.
Not a stretcher.
