I was flabbergasted and speechless when I first saw this work of art in Germany in 1998 it captures the chaos and zeitgeist that is Europe and is one of the greatest films of all time there’s nothing better conveying the messy and difficult pain and happiness of what it means to be HUMAN!!!
I hope that after a decade, you were finally able to go. I went as part of a Europe tour for my high school graduation trip. With a bunch of my fellow classmates, we went absolutely tore it up when we were gone for that week at 17 and 18 years old. Choose life.
I remember when I watched this epic scene for the first time, I had been so excited, this was the milestone of my film history just like fight club ending scene.
The world is changing, music is changing, even drugs are changing. You can't stay in here all day dreaming about heroin and hearing "Think About The Way"
This is one of the most well placed scenes. It's so rewarding to get a happy, reality scene -- especially after seeing all the fucked up shit (baby scene, toilet, etc.).
@@conorsmith8551 Haha true, and then they jump out of the closet 🤣 but hey he's moving people into homes acting like an adult even if it's in the slightest bit. I felt this scene on a serious level.
I was just thinking that. Most of the film has a grimy orange film over it and it's unremittingly fucking grim. Then BOOM, eurodance and full technicolour!
I was falling asleep last night watching Trainspotting but this montage scene instantly woke me up. The europop beat was so good, probably best part of the movie. 1:00am 20.5.2024
The best part of the movie, think about the way, your new life without HARD drugs. A very constructive reflection, in a very destructive movie... that's why I love it. Keep smoking grass bros.
LA MEJOR PARTE DE LA PELICULA POR QUE ESTA ES LA MEJOR CANCION DE EURODANCE DE LA HISTORIA DE LOS ULTIMOS 20 SIGLOS Y PROXIMOS 20...PIENSA ACERCA DE LA FORMA..8)
Rent almost escapes his boring life, mates and family and the music portrays this felling well, but then Franco starts knocking at the door and the music stops
Once again amazing sequence where Ian McGregor talks to the girl he's with and he's going to say he has to do something new and he rides in England f******
@mava96 St Paul's cathedral, Westminster bridge (+ big ben), Carnaby street, oxford street, the city center (modern buildings). You should go back to London, amazing place ;-) going back there in 3 days, my boyfriend lives there so I know the city fairly well
It wasn't based on anything to do with fulham, I'm sure welsh scored gear there but he's said many many times it was based on life in leith in the 80s.
I'm so glad that Trainspotting helped immortalize this 90's Eurodance classic.
I was probably 15 yrs too young to experience that scene and born on the other side of the Atlantic but I still wish I could've experienced that life.

That movie changed my life.
It reminds me of sceneries of 1990s. I can't believe it was already 20 years ago.
This is one of the most well placed scenes. It's so rewarding to get a happy, reality scene -- especially after seeing all the fucked up shit (baby scene, toilet, etc.).
It’s still laced with bleakness in a way . Look at the places rents showing them. Shiteholes😂 and he’s hustling
