Such an informative video. I am considering a couple of chickens but not sure if my suburban garden is big enough.
I don't have the space for a netted run the size of yours, sadly. I have young children and would like them to learn to care for the chickens if they don't mind being picked up. So much to consider but your videos are helping get good information relevant to the UK.
Your video content, quality, lighting and sound is superb. Liked and subscribed!

Thank you for your comment, I really appreciate it. Smaller breeds like bantams can be ok in smaller gardens. This is a good site for calculating space, I hope it helps: chickenpets.com/chicken-coop-run-size-calculator?darkschemeovr=1

I have a similar netted run and they are great. One thing I have found invaluable is a treadle feeder. You can quite easily train the chickens to use it and it keeps 4 legged unwanted guests out of your chicken feed

I’ve not used a treadle feeder. I had a rat problem for a bit but digging in some wire stopped them getting in and they left. Also, having a cat has kept the rodents at bay. Do they cost more than a standard feeder?

Yet another great Video, in fact I have subscribed! Despite being an experienced Suburban Chicken Keeper, you got a lot of great and useful information, even I have gained a couple of "Golden Nuggets" of information from your videos!

Thank you for the comment and subscribing. I started keeping chickens in 2000 and not looked back, I love having them for their fresh eggs, company and characters. I’m giving quail a go. Hope to have some video about them soon but still got lots to learn!

Try hemp bedding. It's supposed to cut down on the smell a lot.

Thanks for this. I’m about to refresh their bedding. I’ll take a look at hemp and give it a go.
