If Marciano followed the Frazier blueprint then he could have definitely given Ali a hell of a fight. The beauty of Marciano's style was that he hit whatever was open, whether thateant the head, the body, or even his opponent's arms, he slowly eroded away his foes until they simply couldn't defend themselves anymore. He was also underrated when it came to cutting the ring, and him cornering Ali against the ropes would be a recipe for pain for Muhammad. That being said, a prime Ali would clearly have the speed advantage, not to mention the height and reach advantage as well naturally. I think ultimately Ali would have picked a part Marciano for the majority of the fight, but Marciano would have his moments and put Ali in tough waters, especially in the later rounds. Would have been a war similar to Ali-Frazier 1 and 3 in my opinion
True. The fight for Rocky didn't really start til the 10th if it went that far. Same with Roberto Duran. It's why I preferred the 15 round fights. They would somehow pick up speed in the last three rounds when their opponents were already defeated.
Exactly but it makes for great barbershop talk, its like talking about Jordan vs Kobe(R.I.P.) or Lebron,I imagine that both are and were such transcendent fighters that they both would have dominated in any time period because of their fighting spirit, Marciano was the pride of NY and Italians everywhere but Ali became the face of an entire ethnicity,a generation defiant against war and muslims everywhere. Ali inspired so many people it's crazy,I could imagine them now boxing in THE GREAT SKY ABOVE as we type this.
Ali has been hurt many times. Angelo Dundee admittedly cut Ali's gloves after the fourth round against Henry Cooper so Ali could clear his head and get his legs back. Ali himself admitted that Cooper hurt him, but the Joe Frazier knock down was clean. He caught Ali at will with his left hook and Joe won a unanimous decision.
@@stevealdrich1365 He broke Ali's jaw and Ali flew across the ring then instantaneously leaped back up his feet. I believe that was the 6umble in the jungle.

They did fight, an exhibition match with about 50 people in attendance. The 48 year old Rocky pounded Ali so bad he later said it hurt to lift his arms for two or three days.
Marciano would only win by knockout and for the possibility to do that, Marciano would have to hit him just right before avoiding the eye cuts and swelling that would close his eyes probably by round 6 if not sooner. Catching Ali against the ropes would be impossible because Ali would not be attempting the rope adpe as he did with foreman in his later years.
The only one Marciano not win against Muhammad Ali it would have been not even close he's too damn slow he wouldn't be Jack Dempsey Jack Johnson he wouldn't be George Foreman he went to beat Frazier he wouldn't be Jersey Joe Walcott wouldn't be Joe Lewis in his prime he barely won against him as a old man that was washed up think about that what that says about Rocky Marciano and the other thing he definitely want to beat the real 🐂 bull Sonny Liston so I don't know what dope you smoking but he's not even in the top 10 the greatest of all time heavyweight champions there's a few others I left off the list that I know he went to beat either he didn't beat Joe Louis he for the old man and he fought in his prime against the old man think about that for a second
Rocky style was very hard to penetrate the way he crouched and used his left shoulder to block, when he got inside his little short arms were much more effective at close range than his opponents then he clobbered them.

Fighters today just don't have skillful fights like those two fighters. Especially Ali. He was amazing.
Anybody notice this was before Mike Tyson came on the scene. Mike beats both of them.
Tyson would definitely teach them a lesson on how to fight!!
agreed...
a young, prime, disciplined, Mike Tyson, with his speed and power, knocks out both of them....Mike beats Ali with his power and he beats Marciano with his speed.....Tyson, was a different animal....
get off the 3 alts like you are the 3 stoogest, mike beating marciano is just being a brooklyn fanboy and mike beating ali is just plain delusional, marciano is stronger, hit harders, more stamina, more durable, fearless, and stylistic advantage. and ali is literally better than mike at everything besides power and ferocity
Muhammad Ali
We have to remember something that rocky was 19 years older then Ali ! This fight would never be fair !
Now that, would of been a fight!
Maybe or a bust like the so called fight of the century between de la Hoya and Trinidad. Trinidad was the bull and Oscar was the matador.

@@cheymilion3168 Yeah Oscar like slowed down towards the end so Trinidad got it. I’m good with the decision tho..
if he survived Foreman, Lyle, and shavers, I seriously doubt Marciano could have done anything to hurt him
Ali has been hurt many times.
The point is he wouldn't be able to put Rocky Marciano away... It would go all 15 rounds back in those days and Ali would more than likely out point Marciano.
@@victorcrossier8642 rumble in the jungle ws ali/foreman in Zaire.
Yes,
I think Their Fight would have gone the Full 15 Rnds., because BOTH Fighters had Great Endurance & Stamina Levels🥊🥊🥊 But I ALSO give Rocky the ""W"", because Ali can Dance & Dodge, But Once Rocky or Tyson got Him on The Ropes or Corner . . . . They would Beat Down on Ali's Body and truly Hurt Him🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊🥊
Would of been a great fight damn!!
It wouldn't be a match! Ali wins🥊🥊

The MFs aren't acting.
It also should have been "whether" in the subtitles.. not "weather"
They did fight, an exhibition match with about 50 people in attendance. The 48 year old Rocky pounded Ali so bad he later said it hurt to lift his arms for two or three days.
Ali the poetic perfection of speed and style.. marciano an unstoppable beast..Two greatest..
"would of" damn..
Right...
Alì himself said Rocky could’ve beaten him in different ways, not just knockout.
There both legends no need to compare them as they don't.
Rocky style was very hard to penetrate the way he crouched and used his left shoulder to block, when he got inside his little short arms were much more effective at close range than his opponents then he clobbered them.
Only in heaven will we see these 2 warriors battle. It will end in joy.
Would’ve* because it’s a contraction of “would” and “have”
Yeah it’s like some people skipped elementary school. People spell “lose” like “loose” too it kills me.
This is exactly what Fraizer did to Ali. Backed him up to corner, took away his legs with body shots, and even dropped him in their first meeting.
And it still went 15 rounds after he went to jail and was out of boxing for 2 years... now imagine if he never would've went to jail and kept boxing and improving! And his rematches proved why he was the better boxer... Stop it!

This would have been one of the best or one of the best matchups in boxing history if they did fight. No matter who won or lost the entertainment would have been to amazing. Cool video. ^_^
Both in their prime? Ali wouldn't have knocked Rocky out, but he would have won. Ali would be covered in Rocky's blood! Ali had his jaw broken in a fight and finished. Rocky didn't hit as hard as Joe or George, but he was just a durable AF!
I feel like it definitely would've went all rounds with these 2. I lean towards Marciano for the fact, just as Ali said he was hard to hurt or stop. Ali himself admits that he's more speed than power and Rocky could eat punches in order to pummel Ali. Probably Ali in the beginning of the fight but eventually I feel Rocky would've pounded on Ali in the later rounds. Either way it would have been an absolutely EPIC match amongst 2 of the greatest boxers to ever enter the ring!!

Ali left jab was there for the taking and his range & speed was second to none. His own quote " kill the head the body will die,
Ali would win & Ali knew it. He was just being respectful
Couple of interesting points...
When they got them together for a computer simulation Rocky, was respectful and did exactly what the computer programmers asked of him. Ali, started out "ok", but started ro dance around Rocky and flick jabs. At first Rocky, wasn't too perturbed, but Ali started getting up on his toes and getting closer and closer. Finally, Ali, knocked off Roxkys hair piece and laughed at him. very few people knew Rocky was wearing a toupee at the time. Rocky, immediately launched a hook into Ali's ribs that knocked him back and against a wall. Ali's handlers stepped in and said "that's it". They pulled him into a room and as the story goes, Ali, was put in a chair where he sat for 10 minutes. He was reported as saying he was never hit tbat hard in his life. Point two. Rocky, won the computer simulation.
