Fun fact, the Wooden coaster is actually a protected landmark and is owned and operated by the government's department of nature. So if you wanna complain to anyone about the poor trains introduced 12 years ago, complain to the government of Denmark lol. But yeah its annoying. Best tip for getting airtime is whenever the coaster is reaching the bottom of drops that you try and push the restraint away from you. I know it might sound weird but these things come down like a jackhammer and once its down a bit there's no way its going back up until the ride's over. Also in regards to the sensual innuendo tunnel, then yeah, we're just built different. Remember this is Denmark, the country that not only brought to life a childrens cartoon about a man with a long uncontrollable male bodypart with a mind of its own, but had it almost steal American news coverage away from the January 6th attacks! If any of you are even remotely curious, look up John Dillermand. You've been warned.
(Jokingly harrasing the stereotypical American) "FREEEEEDOM - in the USA we can say anything we want!!" ... well can you openly drink alcohol in a public park or on the street? Also can you show stuff like this on TV? John Dillermand: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (Web Exclusive): ruclips.net/video/A51mJjFyG_w/видео.html In EU we more often talk about being free from fear and free from people being able to spout racism and hate everywhere they want. Meanwhile in the USA you more often talk about freedom from having nudity and other natural things on TV. Guns and violence is no problem in the news, but a bit of nudity - uhhohh cancelled.
You guys have inspired me to book a theme park trip around Germany and holland next summer! I am especially excited to stay at the Charles Lindbergh hotel at Phantasialand!
Better tip for bakken : Just buy the "ride everything" wristband LOL. Much cheaper than pay-per ride, and you dont need to carry cash around. Ulven first drop is amazing at the back right side of the train. Huge airtime all the way.
Bakken has a pretty chaotic feel to it. Probably because all the rides, restaurants and various other attractions are all individually owned and operated, so that's why there's this funfair vibe with no real theming.
One of my greatest memories is when I was a kid at Rutchebanen with a friend and there were not a lot of people in the park that day so we got to go around the track 13 times for free without getting out of the ride. Eventually there were enough people in line to take our seats. I felt really sick after that but worth it haha
Long comment coming up just fyi. I'm sorry that Bakken may not have lived up to expectations in the right way per say, but the best way to get value out of there is definitely through a wristband. The earlier you book one online for your visit, the cheaper it'll be. On the day it usually costs 300kr but you can often get it for 250. The place is like a boardwalk or carneval, just like Wiener Prater everything there is operated by independent showmen. Except unlike Wiener Prater they were able to agree on a universal ticket system. But they definitely have some good stuff there. Like they have a really good fun house that you missed and some solid flat rides. And between Tornado, the Log Flume, and the kiddie coaster there's actually a heavily themed area that opened in 2015 (It has actually been in the works since the mid 80's but took so long due to the complicated process of building anything on protected land, which Bakken sits on, as well as adheering to any complaints by the people living in the rich neighborhood around the park). Its themed to a Danish TV drama from the 1980's set in the 1930's and 40's called "Matador" and even features actors reenacting scenes from the TV show and themed restaurant experiences, both high end and budget friendly. Actually speaking of traditional Danish food, it would've been a good idea to stay at Bakken for that, they have a TON of traditional danish food restaurants that are actually quite affordable like 30'eren (Grill type place next to the wooden coaster), Jernbanerestauranten (Casual sit down dining in the Matador area), Harlekin (Very classic affordable place right next to Tornado towards the Matador area), and many others, just to name a few. Bakken has more restaurants than rides! Its actually one of the best hot spots for traditional affordable food in the whole capital region. Also yeah I know why you saw Schawama stalls everywhere, you were staying in Nørrebro. Thats like the big migrant neighborhood of the city and so its mostly popular with young people and people who have moved into the city from the likes of Turkey, and the middle east, for whom Schawama and Kebab is often a favorite amongst both groups. There are some traditional restaurants here and there, including one on Axel square right by the Tivoli gardens main entrance called Axelborg Bodega, or the many "family gardens" on Pile Alle near the Zoo (easily reachable from Nørrebro by the Line 18 bus, which runs every 10 minutes). But either way its not exactly easy finding danish food on the street as most Danes eat and cook at home on a regular basis, and eating out is more so done as a special occassion) Also sorry for the long comment but like, you say thank you Denmark, but honestly we just wanna say thank you for coming here and checking out what we've got. I hope comments like my own haven't been annoying but just know we're upfront, direct, and generally just want to be honest and helpful here. So just thank you for coming here and finally checking us out, and we can't wait to hopefully see you return some day. And hey btw if you still want to try some Danish food some day, I can assure you there are a lot of really handy recipes online for traditional Danish dishes like Roast pork and potatos with Parsley sauce/Stegt Flæsk med Persillesovs, Meatballs in Curry/Boller i Karry, Frikadeller/Pan fried meatballs, and Shooting Star Sandwich/Stjerneskud.
I'm really enjoying this series. I may never get to make a trip like this so living vicariously through you guys has been a great experience. Thanks for these amazing videos!
Enjoying all those vlogs, fun to watch! 11:07 "We're actually breaking up Germany into two parts" Well, it's not like that has never been done before 😅
These series is great! Now I want to visit all of these amazing danish theme parks. And I have a question: Was there a reason you skipped Hansa Park and Heide Park?
Glad you're enjoying! There were a lot of places we wanted to visit, but had to prioritize, and because of their location, it made more sense for us to skip out on them this time. (Plus Taylor had already been) But we love Germany too much to not go back sometime soon, so I'm sure we'll pay them a visit eventually!
Probably because Taylor visited them on his previous trip in 2018 and them not having anything major added since then to warrant a revisit. Plus y'know budget. I mean in 2018 he also ended up completely skipping Denmark but visited Liseberg, Kolmården, and Grøna Lund in Sweden which were completely bypassed on this trip. I mean money doesn't exactly grow on trees.
@DrDewott but I thought he would go back to experience colossos. (but I guess an intamin prefab shouldn’t take priority over the coasters in denmark and such)
@@gddatfatrat2390 Maybe on another visit. I mean they'd probably also wait for whenever Merlin would put in another new coaster at the park first so they can have a new 1/2 punch of new attractions. But time will tell when they'll return there, I mean they have all sorts of places they wanna visit, like Australia as just one example, or perhaps Finland, there's a lot of places that are higher priority than Heide park.
Lmfao I was really tired today and was dozing off while watching this (not in an offensive way) and I can’t tell you how fast I got up when I hear bohemian rasphody

Next up GERMANY Phantasialand & movie park germany Can't wait to see these vlogs. A quick question: will the Phantasialand trip be split into 2 separate vlogs or will they be put into 1 singular, long vlog?
@@CoasterStudios Like NR said, they're usually around 300kr but they can often be cheaper if you order one in advance for your visit, like for 250kr as an example. Yup even though it’s the oldest, is also kinda a park for the plebs, red neck what have you. Tivoli has way more class, but the parks and forests surrounding “Bakken” is awesome and full of deer and other wildlife

IDK. Its likely some restaurant started by a migrant that moved here. The neighborhood does also have a notable muslim community so setting up a chicken restaurant there so that they can have some food out with respect to their religion was probably a smart business move by whoever started it. Still restaurants and shops quickly come and go in that part of town so idk how long it'll last.
Lol nah, you can be nice to people of the opposite gender and not be out for going dirty. If he looks like he's trying to snatch someone elses love interest then you've got a low bar buddy. And I mean lower than the restraint on that wooden coaster.
