Its nice to see Bobby Lee being honored
I loved Sherry Cola in Joy Ride.
Sherry and Sabrina Wu were my favorites in Joy Ride
Very cool segment, and will be watching more of their projects!
Still waiting for Crazy Rich Asians 2
KJ gotta do an All Asian Hangover asap😁
We all love you, Bobby Lee. In case you see this you are honored in all our lives as well.
I like Ken from 'Lady and the Tramp.' He definitely add something, when he get role. I know people say Asian actor sort of stereotype. When you see Hong in 'Everywhere, All at Once,' if you Chinese, you know that when he tell his granddaughter her Chinese getting progressively worse, you KNOW only Chinese know language can do that one line so well, every Chinese person, who no know English, laugh hysterical. But. For someone, who into global reality, you gonna like someone like Chow Yun Fat and Brigitte Lin. They Chinese and they know 'cool' Chinese, and 'cool' global Asian thing. It take a lot of living and learning in the domain of life, itself, and Asian American actor not know a lot about that. Best Chinese actress, Brigitte Lin. She just awesome, in 'Swordsman 2.' You can't be like. well she's hot for Chinese. That a 'water down' presentation, get that response from viewer. RIght now. Gemma Chan in 'Eternals' the best talent. She have something other race want. You see her. You wanna know WHY she this way, as Chinese.
Maybe if Asian parents were more supportive of their kids who want to pursue this career we would see more
They will... Once the generations grow. The first generation starting roots in a foreign country are always going to be more worried about financial stability and establishing themselves in a new country. They have a lot more to lose if they don't succeed financially. But the 2nd, 3rd generations that come after benefit from what the immigrant generation has built for them.
To be fair, even in some Asian countries, the idea of a creative career is still a relatively new idea. Entertainment has existed forever in Asia but a lot of Asian countries experienced communism, civil war, colonization, etc. A successful career in entertainment or other creative pursuits weren't always realistic. Where my parents grew up, their careers were predetermined by the government. 🤷♀️
WHERE IS BOBBY LEE
Ok my brotha Ken Jeong! Its been wayyyyy to many years since we last kicked it. I am reach out to you because now I need a favor from you for my show. Seriously stay tuned.
yeah every day i watch korean dramas i say: we need more asian representation
Great interview 🙋🏽♀️🤓🏳️🌈🤙🏽🎉
Ken Jeong made a career playing an Asian degrading stereotype in every movie he's been in. Same goes for Bobby Lee.
He is pretty annoying. Not really funny. I only liked him in community mostly because it’s community. He isn’t a comedian, just over the top loud mouth Asian
Ken Jeong gives me true belly laughs. Thank you Kennn for being a trailblazer
Ken Jeong, hopefully doesn’t have to just accept stereotypical roles now
I know who Ken is but did not for the other two before now
well you kinda sorta know them now!
Must have Asian accent on screen to make it. The selling out of one’s self
They need the majority hooking up the demographics.
Love asians but this group ain’t funny. Sorry.
And by Asian they mean Chinese, only.
They literally mentioned the other guy’s Filipino
@@Gaspar314 it's not enough Asians need a more inclusive game in America.
Ken Jeong is Korean
Sherry = check mark with no personality. She hasn’t contributed anything substantial other than just reading lines and isn’t funny at all. Ken, ok I guess but his schtick is the same in everything he does. Other guy, I don’t know who that guy is. There’s other Asian comedians that’s been in the game longer and made significant contributions compared to this bunch. Get some real ones next time.
Asian comedians are funny with theexception of malaysians
