Hi Jillian! Thanks for watching my video! The Telfar bag is actually very well-made and the construction is well done, but I can see what you mean about it looking inexpensive (and at $200 it is, compared to other designer brands). Telfar uses a vegan/faux leather that gives it an inexpensive look - it’s not a luxurious material.
I sold mine too, it used to be my fave bag but for some reason when I repurchased it I just don’t reach for it. And I couldn’t justify a $1990 bag just sitting in my closet. Saving the money for the Hermes Constance on the go 🥰
Thanks for sharing this! It's always helpful to hear different perspectives on why these bags work or don't. Oddly enough, an overnight bag is exactly what I want the speedy for haha! Also, a bigger bag that can survive a rainy day 😊
The speedy wasn’t created as luggage … it was created as a handbag for Audrey Hepburn because she liked the shape of the Keepall luggage . I have never been able to use Alma’s , but I think I might like the Alma BB … contemplating . The shoes are adorable BTW !!!
The coach crossbody bag is cute. It really looks like the H evelyne. Oh you’re not reaching for your speedy B. I think you made the right decision to rehome the bags and shoes that didn’t work out for you. TFS
The Coach is a cute bag but just wasn’t my favorite to use, so I’m glad I didn’t spend H prices on it! 😂😅 Better to have our items used and loved than sitting in a dustbag. ❤️
Thanks for sharing. I love these kinda videos cos they're really informative. The emery is a surprise. I thought it was a keeper from your earlier mention of it but definitely a great choice to help "get over" a more expensive purchase. I do that all the time too😁
Yes, I’ve fallen out of love with the Emery as I’ve grown my bag collection recently. 😔 it’s a nice bag for occasional use, but I find myself reaching for other bags more often that are easier for me to get my items in and out of.
I can so relate to the the Telfar bag! I participated in the bag security program as well. I loved the size but I clearly didn’t pay attention to the fact that the pocket was in the front of the bag (I hate that!) lol. It also didn’t hold as much as I thought it would and the straps were super long on me. Your Emery is so beautiful 😍😍. That’s good that you were able to try this bag out first to see if the style would work for you vs spending so much on the Evelyn. Awesome video. Thanks for sharing 🤗
How funny we had the same experience with the Telfar! It was disappointing because I really wanted to love it. 😢 I love the look of the Emery so I’m going to hang into it, it’s just not my fave to use. I loveee yours in the deep pink color - so gorgeous! 💕
Very useful information on all 3 bags. I also have the speedy 30 on my wishlist so I'm hoping I end up using mine. The funny thing is I actually sold my Alma PM because I want using it. Thanks for sharing 💛
Hi there, great video. I have a speedy B I’d like to sell. Where you satisfied with their timing of your payment? Do you recommend to sell to them? Thanks.
Hi! I’m happy with my experience with JRB so far! The Speedy is actually still available but I sold a pair of shoes and the timing is good. The payment is usually 7-14 days after your item sells.
Good for you you to sell what doesn’t work 💪🏼😎I🎉 I never cared about the Evelyn either for those reasons and more lol love the sound of your voice too 👌🏼🌠🌷🥂💐😘
I’m very interested in finding out information regarding the consignment services you’ve used. I looked into Julia Rose but couldn’t find a way on the website to contact them. I don’t utilize social media so I don’t have any accounts like instagram. Can you please give me some advice? What was the process? I’m older now and am no longer interested in many of my luxury pieces so I’d love to sell them. For example, I have 2 Métis that I never use. It is sad that they’re just sitting there. What is even more sad is that I’ve only used them a couple of times. I’ve sold on eBay but that is a headache! I’ve also heard that some companies like Fashionphile, will have you mail them the piece only to make you wait and then say it was not acceptable or offer you pennies for it. I also would feel uncomfortable if they were to mail it back. How can you be sure they’re actually mailing you back your piece? I think that is why they’re still in my unused collection.
Overall, I was happy with my experience consigning with Julia Rose. The process was very easy, I filled out the online submission form and they responded quickly. Her team was very responsive to my emails throughout the entire process. I went with Julia Rose because I got quotes from a few places and she offered the highest amount for the items I was selling, plus she is a very reputable seller. The only con was I had to pay for shipping there, and also return shipping when one of my items didn't sell. (They offered to lower the price in order to sell it, but I opted to remove the listing and keep it for now.) Her business email is: hello @ juliaroseboston .com If you can consign your items before Christmas, you may have some luck, but overall the resale market has really slowed down recently due to the economy. It's been hard to sell items and get a good price for them. If you can wait, you may find it easier to sell after there's a rebound in the economy. Just my two cents. :) Wishing you good luck!
I’ve never sold to fashionphile so I can’t comment on that, unfortunately. I’ve purchased a few items from them and have been happy as a buyer. I’m not sure what their process is for consignors.
@@monicae67I didn’t actually sell anything through Fashionphile, but I sent them a couple of quote requests. You don’t need to mail your items in order to get a quote, just fill out an online form and attach clear good quality photos. The quotes they gave me were way too low so I ended up consigning with a local consignment boutique.
It’s a program that Telfar has run a few times now. It usually runs 1 or 2 days, and you can order their Shopper bag in the color and size you want. They make it for you and it usually take a couple months to ship. Their bags usually sell out very fast so it’s a way for them to make their bags more accessible. (Opposite of LV and H!!!)
@@LulaWestLuxe i see LV and Hermès want to leave people hungry 🤤 as they say in French. They want you to want the bag and they then don’t want you to have it. It’s what makes them exclusive if everyone were to have these bags, it’s not exclusive anymore
Thanks for commenting! Since I posted this video, the Speedy did not sell and I actually had the bag returned to me from the consignor, so it’s back in my personal collection again! 😊
The Telfar looks so incredibly cheap and like something I could buy from forever 21… no thanks

I have one and it’s actually very well made(:
Agreed
I want to say that you did the right thing dear. I am all for keeping what we need and enjoying what works for us. Bravo.
Thanks Cath! Yes, sometimes it’s better to let things go so they can be loved and enjoyed. ❤️

Beautiful bags that you are sellin🥰 I hope you enjoy your weekend 🥰
Thanks Kie! Hope you have a good weekend too! ❤️
Love that it's tall and narrow. That price is from HEAVEN 😇
It’s definitely a great bag even though it didn’t work for me! ❤️

The Coach bag color is beautiful.
It’s a really great neutral! I’d definitely buy another bag in that color. Thanks for watching! ❤️

I clicked on this video thinking this was a 25. So sad. I would have loved to purchased from you.
Aww! Thanks for watching! I wish it was a 25 for you! 💕💕

That emery looks like a dupe of the evelyne. So sad to hear your speedy didn’t work 🥲.
Do you like the evelyne tpm ?
Yes it’s very similar!! I like the look of the evelyne TPM but it’s too small for me. 😢
