This man put in a lot of time into his instrument,,,only a man who heard the berimbau up close and personal could have built this arrangement,,,,This man has been to the street of Bahia and back,,,,Obrigado Mestre Roland
This is beyond stunning. Didnt heard of before today and dude what the hell. I knew "technical" classical and flamenco guitar but i've never been that shocked. And he was French. What a loss
Cuerdaslibres Abiertas No me canso de escuchar la Versión de Cacho es realmente asombrosa. DYENS igualmente es de mis preferidos, gran compositor y Arreglista.
"Bidonville" (= slum, shanty town) is a french adaptation of "Berimbau" : more exactly, Claude Nougaro, a famous french songwriter, put words on what (I think) was only an instrumental piece by Baden-Powell...
So much work and ingenuity, and everything is played with a serious face. But essentially it is an imitation of street musicians playing homemade musical instruments. The question arises: why?

He will be sorely missed. His kind, artistic spirit and excellence were so unique.
RIP Roland Dyens. A true maestro, a great musician and composer
I'm so glad I was present at this performance last year at GSI. Roland was a guitar giant and his arrangements and compositions will live on.

1:45 the play
디용찡....ㅠㅠ
WOT!!!!
He got the agogo in there
How to bash the living daylights out of a 70 year-old precious guitar.....ha ha ha
As close to a berimbau as a guitar can sound. In fact its indistinguishable.

Not weird for us fingerstyle guitarists.
This piece sounds like someone trying too hard to be technical. No disrespect to Roland.
