  • Power Alacrity Renegade got a well needed buff (along with everything Renegade related). You need way lower boon duration which translates into a juicy DPS increase.
    It still retains its omega utility and flexibility which lets you adapt it perfectly to each encounter (much more so than the condi build).

      - Power Vindicator
      - DPS Herald
      - Quickness Herald
      - Hand Kite Herald for Deimos
      - Heal Herald
      Revenant is amazing because it can cover off on basically all possible roles in endgame PVE.

      You can even just take the gear from this AlacRen build and apply it directly to Quickness Herald. You'll overshoot on boon duration a little but they use the same Runes and Sigils so it will work just fine. Such efficiency.

    How do you feel about this build compared to qdps herald? New to the game and been doing strikes and fractals as qdps herald, was thinking to try this for alac options as i dont like the idea of condi damage.
    If I want to get into raids you think this would be viable or do I just run herald? This sounds fun in fractals.

    • @connorconcarne
      @connorconcarne  Год назад +2

      This build is amazing in Fractals! Overall of endgame PVE I'd say Power Quickness Herald is the stronger build. It offers a fair chunk more damage and is easier to play in general. It also has a much wider range of boons it can provide. What you can do (and what I've done on my alt account), is just gear up your Revenant for the Power Alacrity Renegade build (40% boon duration) and then run the same gear for Power Quickness Herald (needs around 25% boon duration from memory). Then you can just swap the traits around as needed. They use the same food, weapons and sigils so it's a VERY efficient way to cover off on both roles. This build is totally viable for raids but it's really easy to swap to the Quickness build as well.

  • @SilverSinai
    @SilverSinai Год назад +5

    Since you seem to be a fan of Rev, would be interesting to see what you put together to make a healing Revenant build.
    Heal Alacrity Renegade will probably have lackluster performance in terms of easy to access and use heals in real situations (Kalla spirits and Ventari Tablet being clunky) so Maybe Healing Quickness Herald would much more viable instead as a solid healing Revenant build?

    • @connorconcarne
      @connorconcarne  Год назад +2

      I'm very much a fan of Rev haha. I haven't messed around with Heal Alac Renegade since EOD launched. I agree that it would still be a bit meh with its rather low access to boons outside Alacrity and a bit of Might.
      Heal Quickness Herald is great at the moment however. I have one set up for whenever I want to heal/tank in raids and don't need the reflects on Firebrand. It's very durable, easy to play and pumps out a ton of boons. Having the 20% buffed (from memory) regeneration heals for a surprising amount.

    Hey, thank you for the video, can you elaborate how different your build is from snowcrow's?
    I'm fairly new to support dps and i have no clue which one of them to follow. i mostly do strikes and raids, rarely open world.

    • @connorconcarne
      @connorconcarne  Год назад

      You're very welcome. The Snow Crows version has 37.5% boon duration whereas this version has 40%. I prefer having a little extra buffer in Boon Duration to allow for a bit more leeway in the rotation. In actual content you'd be hard-pressed to tell the difference.
      As long as you have more than 33% boon duration you can upkeep 100% alacrity. So, there is some flexibility to add more boon duration to make your life easier at the cost of a little damage.

    Realy nice video, it realy helped me getting into rev. One question tho: how are you crit capping without roiling mists? Am i missing something here? In general how strong is charged mists?

    • @connorconcarne
      @connorconcarne  Год назад +2

      Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! In the Renegade traitline you get a minor trait "Brutal Momentum". This gives you an extra 33% crit chance when your endurance is full (and 10% when your endurance is not full). So base 42% crit chance + 33% + 25% from fury lets you crit cap.

    • @connorconcarne
      @connorconcarne  Год назад +1

      Also Charged Mists is an amazing trait and is basically required for the Revenant Alacrity builds. It gives you 25 extra energy on swap which always gives you enough energy for Orders From Above (20 energy). Without it you will find yourself massively starved of energy on the alac build and end up having a bad time. Unless you need the crit chance from Roiling Mists it's usually the best choice on DPS builds as well. However, the other 2 traits (Song of the Mists and Roiling Mists) become a lot closer in damage output.

      Here's a tip for being able to track your Crit chance in real world, real time play. Go ahead and open your hero panel and slide that window way off to the left side of your screen so only that last column of data (where your crit chance % number lives) shows. Go ahead and fight and give those numbers a few glances as you fight to see where your real world numbers come out.

    • @connorconcarne

      Sure! You could take Pack Runes which would give you a ton of extra boon duration which will make providing Alacrity much easier. Strength runes would be ok and let you provide more might to your group while still maintaining a damage modifier. Rune of the Eagle would also be decent but would leave you with far more precision than you need.

    • @connorconcarne
      @connorconcarne  Год назад

      Celestial gear wouldn't be great for the Power version of this build. However, it would work quite well for the Condi Alacrity Renegade. As long as you have at least 33% boon duration then you're good to go. Celestial gear tends to work better on Condi builds compared to Power generally.

    What would you say are the main considerations as to what build you to play in a raid or strike between power vs condi?
    Raw damage?
    Damage uptime?
    Breakbar damage?
    The ability to flex to Jalis for stability?

    • @connorconcarne
      @connorconcarne  Год назад +2

      The main things I would consider in raids/strikes would be that the Power build excels in fights with short burst windows (Conjured Amalgamate / Keep Construct) and the Condi build is great in fights with long (or no phases) and has excellent range damage. Other things I think about for each build are:
      Power
      - More flexible legends, can easily bring Ventari, Jalis or Mallyx as needed
      - Higher breakbar damage
      - Much higher burst damage - great for fights with short burst windows or phases (almost all fractals except Sanqua Peak)
      Condi
      - Much higher sustained damage
      - Ranged DPS option so increased damage uptime
      - A simpler looping rotation so it's easier to hit higher DPS numbers in an encounter.
      - Is much more of a pain to swap legends

    • @connorconcarne
      @connorconcarne  Год назад

      Brutal Momentum gives us an extra 33% crit chance when our Endurance is full. That lets us crit cap without having to slot a crazy amount of Assassin's gear or Eagle Runes. If you just wanted to be cheap and try it, you could potentially use Pack Runes and a Concentration Sigil for some extra boon duration (25% total and really cheap). Then you'd need far less Diviners Gear and could slot the super cheap exotic Berserker's gear while you tested it.

Alacrity is one of the less common boons to come across in open world content I find. For traits, I'd make sure to take Incensed Response (Invocation) to help cap might, you could potentially swap Swift Termination (Devastation) for Dance of Death for some extra sustain if you preferred as well. It pairs well with all the vulnerability you apply with Icerazor's Ire.
