You didn't get stab hit
Netherlands played wide in real life, by expanding into sea.
Because they played to tall they had no more building slots and had to expand
Netherlands fought the water and won.
4:20, you get the sound for losing stability, but I think it just automatically gives it you back. Notice here you're still at +1
Yes it was easier to add +1 stab back, than rewrite the code and add some exeptions to mechanic itself... so stab is fine, its just the sound that confuse us :)
Yeah the sound threw me when I did my Holland run too, took me a minute to realize it was a -1 event followed by a +1 gift.... I get why they did it, but they need to reword the mission to advise it's a +1 bonus when declaring and not "you don't lose stability".
Ludi has done so many Netherlands campaigns, he is actually becoming Dutch and cracking jokes about the Flemish.
Orange headphones also. I am impressed!
As a dutch guy, I love playing the netherlands. Its probably my main country. So knowing that, I'd like to suggest some tips. Dont take all of flanders (leave Rijsel) and take Antwerpen instead of s'hertogenbosch. Then do 2 show strenghts against any rivals for mana and then either take loon, gelre or utrecht, preferably loon because most of the time burgundy warns you after the first war. You can use it to reset the truce and take more of Burgundy before the inheritance. After liege war, attack england with france just for calais and take 1 coreable portuguese province as well. After that war spawn hainautian rebels afterwards (which wil give hainaut a core) and release hainaut for 3 juicy cores in burgundy. Afterwards you can take more land of the other dutch minors and take back the cores for hainaut. You can unify all of the Lowlands by 1465-1470 if you do it right and then destroy the HRE very soon for expansion into germany. All before the colonial game truly begins and you even P.U. the UK.
Hope this helps everyone who's doing a holland run.💪
It just had the sound Ludi, but if you watch closely you still had 1+ stab
Its cause of a new mission
Haven't watched the full video yet so I don't know if you noticed down the line, but you did keep your 1 stability when declaring the independence war. Likely just a glitch, bug, or coding oversight when the 'stability dropped' popup happened.
"I've allied everything that moves" lol
I hope that in EU5 university could be create from the start since the first university was in Bologna in 1088 and in the 12th century there are tons university in the biggest city of Europe
Yes please, I recently played Commonwealth and got few events to expand university etc so technically a city had university like for example the Jagiellonian University but of course it is not reflected in game since you are limited by the overall mechanic, so the game mechanically clashes with the "lore" on this front.
I don't think it should be there yet - the modern university still quite wasn't there until later on. So I think the events based universities until tech 17 makes okay sense.
There were "universitas" - but again, not quite like modern universities.
@@pete9320 what was different? On the core i mean
This gonna be my next run, thanks ludi
gz on 200k
i definitly wanna see a part two and also wanna see you form this special nation
15:30 looking at that Friesland/Brabant war (and my own games) it definitely seems like the 1.37 AI is a lot more opportunistic in declaring wars and pouncing on nations that are already weakened
As a Dutch i am proud of you ludi
Next time you should have a goal of conquering the nether in Minecraft to become the true nether lands
Ba Dum Tss
Ludi congrats I see you hit 200k!!!
❤
❤
You can also rival Utrecht, or whoever is easiest to declare on when you get independence, and declare with Humiliate Rival CB, and get an age objective too!
I was so greatful to Paradox for adding another Netherlands acheivment. I love playing a nice tall Lowlands playthrough, and "Get Out of My Swamp" was the perfect excuse to go back and do it again
as a dutch man 😊 I love your video
❤
Would love to see the second part for this run
Appreciate the flagship being called "Europapa"!
You didn't actually get the stab hit, it just showed the message. Maybe it is coded to secretly add one stab to you when you declared independence to counter the one loss.
excited for pt 2
Ludi, u can blackflag your army by canceling mil acces one day before u arrive in provance land and thus not have to worry untill u unblackflag them. That's what I do at least
I know but I don't like abusing mechanics to that level tbh bro
@@LudietHistoria ahh okey, I usually don't either(cause I forget lol) but the manpower of Holland is annoying early game since I usually do multiple humiliation wars after the independence war. BTW u didn't lose stab in the vid, it just made the sound but u still had the 1 stab u had before
I was telling my dutch friend about some of the stuff added this DLC, and he was caught off guard the game wants you to go into Reformed as a religion. The rest of it he found very neat though.
Those Dutch provinces truly are becoming insanely developed like that. Though becoming that rich, I guess there would be some temptation as the AE cools off to try and get a bit more of the trade power in the English node. Like... do the English really need Calais?
Nah they dont, it will be better off in dutch hands😂😂
ludi really has me using the word schnappledoop in my every day speech now lmao
Will you finally make that mega campaign we're all waiting for Ludi?
Gg for 200k
You had me rolling on the floor laughing when you celebrated turning the Flemish Dutch
If only I could actually replicate this in real life.
We hebben een deel twee nodig!
You didn't actually lose a stability, it just played the sound
it confused me too when I was playing. My guess is its programmed to just immediately give you 1 stab back after declaring the war
you got the message of the stability hit and the sound but stability stayed the same
a fort in every province, you mad lad.
Who knew this episode would be going dutch...see you next episode!
You can pick the Stadshouder government as soon you have 50 points from the start of the game what let you build the indianman ships and unlocks the 7 provinces government form at tier 3.
please continue this one
I tried a strategy of going espionage-quality and making the Hanseatic League after conquering low countries. Hansa ideas + dutch government and ships is INSANE.
As a fellow romanian, please take it, it's empty anyway
So happy for the 200k !!! He wanted that more than our wallet for so long !
Nice Europapa flagship
Breaking an Aliance only creates a 1-way Truce (You get a truce with them, they don't get a truce with you) so that doesn't block them from joining a coalition. And of course if break an alliance you lose a lot of opinion.
Them being your ally does mean that they gain less AE though whenever you do take land.
Yeah it's the same exploit from way back with guarantee independence.
Portuguese special light ships give you better trade steering, but they don't have the ability to transport troops though.
I love you!!!!!
I was wonder when Ludi were about to make a new Netherlands video! I love it when you play theese playing tall nations. Much Love to you my man
Forget my wallet, I subbed for the return of the Roman Empire. Ludi, make it happen!
That mission that lets you seize crownland for 10 estate opinion is the real winner mission in my eyes. Goodlord that mission is sexy
you didn’t get the stability hit. only the notification of it but stab remained +1, check it.
Nehterlands seem to be a bit buggy. Stability hit isn't removed, just counteracted.
Another Ludi video. Love you so much man. I hope you gonna be awesomely happy in your life. Your happiness would make me happy man. I wish i could hug you some day. You gave us so much 🫶😭
Hey Ludi, what's with the flagships named after actresses? Why break with traditions? 😮
These new missions for dutch states are from any new dlc or just general upgrade?
Part 2!!!
17:58 😭😭😭
I love tall game
The reason the dutch are good for playing tall is because they have the tallest average height in the world. Probably so they can peak over all their dams
Its so we can pick fruit from the trees while standing up to our waist in the swamp. True story.
More dutch run please 😊
"Liège ate Brussels" is quite though to hear for a Brusseleir
how do you spawn faceting? Is it random in any glass province? or can you dev or something to increase your chances?
there are requirements to fire faceting event. im pretty sure it fires instantly when requirements are met
Have embraced the Renaissance institution
Have at least +50 prestige
Own a province that:
Has the Renaissance institution
Has at least 15 development
Is in a state
Is a city (It isn’t being colonized)
Produces “Glass” as trade goods
Does NOT have a special goods produced modifier
Does NOT have coal as latent trade goods
Is NOT the province of Venezia (Venice’s capital at game start)
Will you continue this, I'd really love to see Trade Company India
How we can spond faceting? What should we do?
Please STREAM/RECORD your Starship Troopers sesh xD
ludi what the name of thr song at start of your video?
New ruler stab hit
I actually havent seen my wallet in months, did you take it by any chance??
Yes and he spent all the money on developing Holland provinces.
For Brandenburgs sake not the Wallets Ludi! 😫
Tall enough to develop plastics
38:14 Pieter post google that chadlord, youth sentiment.
Next video Husittes HRE pls
I personally always wait with forming Netherlands and leaving HRE because I want to have all of the Lowlands region since a lot of missions and government reforms give buffs to provinces in lowlands
Ludi, how did you get VOC without having Indian lands? In my campaign I can’t do that another way.
Change ur tier 1 gov type. It allows voc ships from 1450s if u get 50 reform progress
@@LudietHistoriathanks!)
@@user-ft1zg6op2h have fun ^^
The Netherlands are (almost) inevitable.
The game is basically a camping than.
Really the best country to play in EU4
Ludi shnapledooped my pet hamster
Great video! But has anyone seen my wallet by any chance? I just had it in my pocket and now it's nowhere to be seen.
If anyone's very much into the 80 Years War I strongly recommend Schwerpunkt's videos series on the topic
Playing tall as The Netherlands?! Why, I NEVER!
why you don't take infrastructure ideas as 1st idea group?
I'm following the guide, but just after the independence both France and Austria break their alliance with me because of low trust. How to overcome this ?
Give them some Burgundian lands and they will trust you.
where is my channel member's save game, Lubi? I need it...
You actually didn't get stability hit, despite the message. If you check you still have 1 stab
How do you keep the Austrian alliance
Now, I'm subscribing even harder to get my wallet back
I remember when I was playing the Netherlands without any DLC and I couldn't ask anyone to help me regain independence, so after insulting me and constantly making claims, they released me and I didn't expect it at all
Why is it that when I try this exact same peace deal, England and France break their alliance and I get obliterated by a 60k coalition?
Ludi, make a Trebizond strat video they are much harder than Byzantium to me, I can't figure them out, lol.
Same. I can't even come up with a workable strategy.
Tried this peace deal but got alliance braked by all my allies when the war of independence ended?
yea me too.
you are weak for for having strong allies like that.
only reason they supported your independence is because they dont like burgundy.
is this eu5?
yes
No.
Yes
yes it's beta gameplay
Yea
As always playing the Dutch is incredibly based. GEKOLONISEERD
I need part 2 loobi
Ludi u Ditching Prussia?
Not watching Starship Troopers since its release should be illegal
I love you
i love you too
I love you more
When haggis?
When EUIV will be over and replaced by EUV, we will say "Ludi was really the one who won EUIV"
Bro you won the game, you finished it lol
Trade ideas opener is just so fucking weird lol
I do not know if it is because of some mods I was using already or the proper update, but since winds of change was released I found out many times the diplomats I sent to build network are not improving it. Allows me to sent another dip to do the same and I can just return the other by the right handside dip view, not appearing the option on the diplomatic actions on the targeted country itself. Weird.
Ludi we understand the dutch are the playing tall gods please this is the 95 video you made of the dutch. Make a ulm---> germany game
No. More Netherlands. Taller. More money. Give money.
