Should've added a jumpscare at the end to make it look like the man in black was following you all along! Crazy Man's tunnel sounds pretty interesting though
I knew there was a military place inside fort halstead but never htought you could get that close. wow. nice 1
'Horsted' (Medway) not Halstead, kent.
You can see some photos of the oldest part of Fort Halstead here...

Great video, I've been inside, I went to a rave in the main tunnel, but I've also visited it when I was kids along with all the forts in Medway because my dad was a member of the Medway military research group and the original Fort Amherst Trust.
I also live in Medway, I don't mind sharing knowledge.
Hmm, bloke lurking about in the bushes? I'm thinking of a line from the film 'Dirty Harry' - "My name is Alice, and I will take a dare.....!".
Have you ever explored the WW1 test installation at Orford? - I'll say no more than that, but its location is no big secret, and it's not exactly hidden from view.
Are you fucking for real mate? I didn't even see the notification for this video. I'm so sorry. I'm glad you're doing good!!! Me too!! We're still on lockdown here in ny too. But hospitals aren't as packed anymore. So the curve is kinda stabilized for now. Great video!!!
lmao that’s my dad in the window working late. to the question of why he was there in lockdown, i don’t think he could stand being in the house with his family 24/7. 😂
you know there’s a maze of tunnels and old rooms filled with engravings from soldiers posted there, plus a bunch more cannons out the back. if you wanted a look inside just contact him i’m sure he wouldn’t mind. i think they do some tours there every so often too.
Catching up after lockdown but whilst areas are spiking and Boris is threatening a second lockdown. One question, is the France trip with the German collaboration still going ahead? I think it could be marginally interesting and wondering if you have a line on it yet?
It is still going ahead but delayed quite a bit.
I have worked on those doors you are looking at and this place is amazing. The moat when the current owners took over was filled with tyres. They have worked hard to make the place what it is today.
Great video from Cornwall
Get out more especially now after the lockdown, RUclips has been horribly boring without explores
Great bit off history on the fort , one thing about SubEx you always know your history even on a brief video in these dark times. I look forward to your future excursions. Be Safe. SubEx
Love night exploring
Glad someone as clumsy as me lol
One of these days i will have to make a trip over to your side of the map ...
Be safe and hit me up if you ever come to the California area ..
The only urbex channel I get excited when there's an upload keep it going mate you deserve a lot more recognition
I wonder what those folks reaction would've been if you snuck up to their open window, waved a couple of 6packs in the air & called pleadingly 'Show us ya Caponiers'....
Thanks 👌 Simon getting back to normal somewhat in Ontario Canada going back to work Tuesday
Thanks for the video. Looking forward to your next underground adventure!
There's a similar tunnel in pontefract. It is still intact so every chance your tunnel has survived too
second vote for olight, have 3 of their torches, all great, good mode spread and easy interface.
Was gonna say looks like a warrior pro camo.. I was lucky enough to grab one..
Excellent, glad to see you out again!
hmm are the people at the fort night watchmen ?
Great vid, cracks me up that all of your exercise is at night
Best time for it be it during a lockdown or not. No one about, nice and peaceful. Less stupid kids to run into as well
Great to see you out and about.
Fort Luton is cracking for an afternoon out, we spent ages talking to the guys there, so much knowledge! Last time I looked at this one it was quite pricey for a look around, the one that intrigues me is Darland 😬
Fort Luton was £5 per person last time I checked. Hope they've not gone silly
Sub Exploration sorry my bad - Luton was pennies but Horsted was quite expensive
Here!
I'm heading to medway maritime hospital Monday may take a wonder after work
Medway is not a covid hospital so you should be good. All covid cases are being taken to Maidstone hospital 👍
@@SubExploration cheers for that
there is no restrictions now on going out never was
Actually there was before
@@davidwatkins8478 where in the corona virus act did it say you could only go out for 1 hour
Yes there was restrictions and still is. The 1 hour part wasn't though. Where you could go and how far you could go was
@@northwales1000 so the wording on restrictions is what
@@TheCitroenman1 called Google, amazing what you can find with it.
Would be good to get involved, directly or indirectly, with the local historical places. they often struggle to maintain themselves. i'd heard fort luton got closed after some arseholes broke in and trashed the place :x glad to hear its still open, abseiled there once into the ditch with school, then spent rest of the lesson time looking round the place and playing on the old coin-op machines :) was awesome, wish i could have gone there again.
Yes it used to be a cafe and playground that was open to the public but they went out of business and it was left derelict. That's when the damage happened. New guys bought it and have done it up very nicely.
Good to hear :) them forts need to be kept from degrading :x
