Was scrolling on google today to find the video on timing chain parameter reset to find out I’ve just done head work/ and timing chain on this exact vehicle! Same reg everything!!! I’m absolutely shocked that this is the sane car and I’m watching a video on it!! Thanks for the help! Sorted the cam/crank malfunction code!!
My friend fixed the problem with his lap top he calibratet the injectors and now there are no errors! The only problem left is that i have some miner vibrations after chain replacement.... and nobody knows why ore where they are from but thats a problem for another day! BUT THANK YOU you are the only one who made my DPF lamp go off, i had it flashing for 3 years and after i replaced the chain it was still there until i used your video to reset after chain replacemend! Sorry for my english but thanks a lot mate ;-)

I've seen your timing vid handy I had mine done in a garage thi8gh no eml tickover is sweet I'm notvevrn sure they done the reset on it ? Is it worth doing a calibration if I think injectors may not perform/spraying like they should ?
Hi! We changed the chain this weekend an now the response of the power is very slow! Do you need to reset something more then the camchaft chain reset? Will this make the acceleration back to normal? I can drive the the car en idle sounds good but the respons of power is so low.. Thanks

Hi mate. Love your videos. Could you advise please. My speedo is now running 20mph less than live speed, just has a service battery was disconnected, any suggestions, could it just be the Vss?
You can also do a static (stand still) DPF Regen using the Top right connection slot connected to ground. After strapping, go back into car and rev it twice up to about 2500 rpm and let go, it should commence on its own accord Regenning DPF.
@@kevinhancock4064 I wouldn't bother. Use decent fuel BP Ultimate or Shell V-Power. My first DPF car was a 2001 Peugeot 406. 2.2 HDi. First passenger car with DPF optionally available. DPF's are not the problem people make them out to be.

I couldn't get the procedure to run, luckily you can trigger this procedure via forscan which explained coolant needs to be 65 degC. Turns out I was just impatient...

Do I also need to do this procedure, and if so, is it the same?

The Chain is 4 days old, its brand new i just saw your video and i have some vibrations while driving and i thats why i tried your two videos! Nobody told me i have to reset or calibrate the chain or injectors after chain replacement! I just dont get it today i tried it again, first the chain reset video then the injector calibration but its just not starting to calibrate! The two laps are on the hole time now just like in the video befor you make it start the calibration
I went to some dealership they did the scan and told me there is some injector error and that i have to go to mazda to calibrate them only they can do that! My problem is not to get over there pay 100€ and get it calibratet its that i am woried that i damaged the injectors? Or am i overreacting and its now just an error and mazda can calibrate that with their computer. :-(
You know i forgot to tell you when i start the calibration your way the lamps turn of but the engine is not revving up, you sure it has to in order to calibrate......
Yes mate, it works same way. And what a difference it makes! Do this every time you change or disconnect battery. If you can't get it to start first 4-5 times than restart the car and try again.
@Paul Anderson tidy that . I've heard of forescan is it costly or relatively cheap ? I'd love to invest in a relatively lower cost diag setup rather than these expensive (for a tidy 1 ) obd readers . Thank you
Why are half the people in the comments below banging on about the DPF filter light? This has nothing to do with the DPF, and resetting it is a separate procedure.
It worked well and the car was completely muted and the fuel consumption was reduced, but I tried to recalibrate but it didn't work anymore the car didn't change

Good result in the end. Check your engine mount that is back on place correctly.
How about that you where right the engine mount was not in the same place and there for the vibration.... thank you you made my day :-) :-) :-)

Very exemplary!!! To start the calibration it took exactly 7 minutes with warm engine, after the 5 times activation.

It does it 3 times only ! Not every injector, but 1 & 2, 3 & 4 and then all 4. It's all about matching and comparing the working parameters by pairs.

Perhaps your chain is stretched? Did you scan for any codes?

@@jovicajovanovic646 most likely it stored some error code hence reason it did not complete calibration. You need to get it scanned first

Opening and closing the door is going to change the electrical load.
I'd say leave door open and turn off lights that may do it

I tried it couple times didnt work maybe wrong engine temperature and engine light was always popping
make sure you do timing chain reset first and that the timing is correct

If it done it once that means calibrations are saved therefore no need to re do it. Also it may not start if any errors are present
