Another common fault is the Headlight condensation to the point that it damages the electrics and the whole Headlight needs replacing and that is a serious cost.

@@itsimtyit's a really common problem. The headlight seals let in water on around half of them

400000km, g31 530d, egr cooling replaced. Nothing else.

I must be lucky, 2012 with 185k miles. Still original suspension components and not a single one of the mentioned COMMON problems.
How many miles did you start with
My 2015 is at 205k

Maybe you know how to drive a car?! Do you warm the engine up before driving it fast? Warming as in driving under 3k revs.

@@DigiDriftZoneThe N47 and N57 are basically the same thing, except the N47 has 2 cylinders chopped off.
All common issues are indentical.

Little bit of scaremongering in this video really. I've had my F11 for 3 years (525D so same basic engine) and the only things i've had to do to it other than routine services is timing chain (preventative change), gearbox oil change, refit vapour barrier in rear doors. Total expenditure on all 3 of those jobs less than 3K. Not bad for a car on 230k now. Im confident it'll get to 300 without any other major bills
This is really good, but would be good to also know at roughly what mileage or age these things tend to happen? -- I just bought a 2016 520D F10 LCI with 49k miles on the clock, I take it most of this should be too early to worry about? or which issues tend to crop up at this kind of age/mileage?

Just delete the emissions on the diesel if you can get away with it, makes the car so much better
"seal for life" gearboxes are just that, thing is, "life" od the car is 125 000 miles as per factory..
What about 535d?

But it’s a lovely drive unfortunately when i did a test drive it felt like i did drive a Mercedes S class 😂😂😂😂 but it was a BMW so smooth so comfortable it was like those seats was made for my ass to seat in that car
