      No. 3.0TFSi truly is a bad performer, while BiTDI is a great engine... for diesel. Want petrol, go bimmer.

      @@jj-tq4hx yep all true. The 3.0tfsi in a stage 1 and bam between 100 and 120hp extra. The potential of the 3.0tfsi motor is superb. And the sound with other exhaust and air filter 😍

    As a bitdi owner with stage 1.5 tune I can tell you, it is brutal. Especially from the start.

      @@bikall1 Nice. I got about 400 with dpf delete and intercooler upgrade. What did you do? My tuner had some problems with the two turbos transition.

      @@Sheldon42 wagner intercooler and a different airbox. The cooler makes up for 100nm. But unfortunately that car got a cooling fluid leak which could not be found. (suspect a crack in the block). i bought another one and this one is still stock.

      My heart and wallet both say diesel though. The 3.0BiTDI is an amazing engine. You can push it quite hard.

      @@mattrixx007 Ive always had a diesel. The majority of my trips are 20-30 kilometers. Never had any issues. Nor do I with the current one which is an euro 6 TDI with a DPF.
      I sold my last TDI at 350.000km with an engine which was still running perfect.

    TFSI power potential in tuning is higher. But in stock biTDI is a little bit faster ,because huge torque

      Also bitdi has a lot of tuning potential. I have an a6 bitdi with stage 1 400 hp, 770 nm. No modified mechanical parts. And not all people want to tune cars so.. yes petrol cars sound better, but you heard an 3.0 tdi with straight pipe? Sound like a gtr or even better..

      @@sandikata exactly... in this video the petrol with 1 turbo wasn't far from the 2 turbos diesel...imagine if the same petrol engine would have also 2 turbos...
      if you want to compare performance from 2 different engines (petrol vs diesel) make sure are not supercharged or supercharged with same amount of turbos

    i have a 2013 bitdi a6 C7 and before that i had a 2011 A6 3.0 tfsi quattro. i love them both but for some reason the tfsi was a better drive. it is hard to tell which one is faster on the day to day running. both are brilliant cars.

      @@nickbrandon6808 has more torque at the crank, but probably similar torque at the wheel, since diesels don't rev above 4500, and because of that they need longer gearing to have a decent top speed in each gear. I did the math with e46 330i and 330d. Torque at the wheel is within 20Nm, but the 330i has higher top speed in every gear. I wonder why no racing teams uses diesel engines, maybe because they're just slower than petrols.

      @@nickbrandon6808 not to mention, diesels hit peak torque around 2-2500 rpm, and start dropping after 3500. You're not going to be at peak torque when trying to pass another car.

    I would sacrifice a little speed for the sweet sound of petrol. I own a 1999 Audi A6 2.8L V6 (Full S-Line) and it sounds and drives amazing.

    The TFSI looks faster at 5000 RPM then 6000, so maybe the car is faster when shifting at 5500RPM.
    My own car also feels faster when shifting earlier or not shifting down aggressively, because it has a fairly small turbo to get that low down torque and fast response, but boost slowly drops over 5000 RPM.
    Is it running on good fuel?

      @@Andretty91 I'm not familiar with working on diesels. be nice if you could swap the top end though. imagine the difference. the a5 looks better and i would assume is lighter. the performance would be excellent. 335d level maybe? don't know why audi never thought about that setup in the a4 and a5.would be a big market for it.

    Yeah, 0-100 in 4,6s and 100-200 in 13s. Thats what those stage 1 BiTDIs with 380hp do. So its useless to compare these two because its obvious it will be faster.

    I had both, video misleading, 3.0 TFSI goes much faster than biTdi after 100 km/h, TFSI reach to 200 km/h before than biTdi

      No if you look in the left corner you can see the engine is warm already, the redline is just at 7k rpm

    Yeah right, entry level supercharged 3.0 petrol vs high end 3.0 bi-turbo diesel. Why not compare 3.0BITDI vs RS4... ? Or 4.0TDI V8 with RS7 ? Petrol is daddy when we talk about performance. However, that BiTDI consume less fuel along with its decent performance, but it is so complex machinery and should be very expensive if something goes wrong... two turbochargers, expensive nozzles, hpfp, emission system.

Nechtel bys udelat nejakej takovej detailnejsi rozbor zivota a ocekavanych servisnich nakladu(vcetne vyhledove ocekavanych) tvy A6 biturba? zrovna posledni dobe jsem resil nakup auta a protoze dost cestuju mezi DE,CZ,SK tak jsem samozrejme zavadil i o tuhle variantu. Ikdyz jsem to nakonec videl servisne ne-perspektivne a rozhodl se jinak, zajimal by me moc nazor cloveka co se rozhodl opacne, vcetne toho jakou roli u tebe velkej tezkej biturbo dislovej kombik ma, resp. celkem nadsene komentujes auta typu Fokusu ST coz jsou razenim zase trochu jiny auta :D sorry za diakritiku, moje klavesnice neni cz freundlich.       Audi A6 BiTDI mě baví zejména kvůli převodovce ZF, o kterou když je postaráno, funguje daleko líp a déle než S-Tronic (DSG).
      Test auta... neslibuju. Fakt nevim, jestli to stihnu. Není to „pracovní“ auto, takže bych to dělal vysloveně jen ve volném čase. Ale budu se snažit překvapit! :-)

    So from the beginning the diesel has 13 HP more, also torque is more. It's normal, that diesel wins. But if u want to make good content show us not only displays, put the cars together. Because there a lot of factors like wind, road angle, grip...

      in even situation diesel is still going to win, gas. engines are beating diesels in high speed sections but up to 150kph diesels are superior in every way because they have way more torque, comparing 1.4tdi with 80hp and 1.4i with 90hp, that tdi is going to fly past 1.4i even through it has 10hp less, but at the same time at the very end gas is "winning", tdi top speed 17x up to 150, 160 no issues, those last 1xkph you need shitload of free road and it takes forever to reach it, on gas (18x) you can even go slightly above the limit on paper

    The only reason to buy the 3.0 TFSI is because with a simple remap it can get to 450+hp. This diesel is from an era when Audi were dominating 24 Hours of Le Mans thanks to their diesel engines. Those times however are long gone, like the times when the RS6 was the untouchable autobahn missile which MB and BMW couldn't even dream of catching up. I know they pretty much gave up on the ICE, but i really hope their new hydrogen technology would once again lead them into the first place amongst the opposition, cause honestly, now the RS6 is just a a design on wheels. No real engineering went into the engines or the gearbox these last 2 generations.

      You might be right,i think mine 2014 330d (258 hp)aswell is faster than petrol version, cant say that about Bitdi, which is obviously fast.

      My 2013 A6 3.0TDI has 268.000km right now and I had nothing to do except one injector which had to be changed at 150.000km. The rest is only tires, brakes and oils. And it's still running like new, even better than in the beginning.. did 254kmh last Saturday and it was a longer high speed run and it never had problems with it, although I kick it really hard, to hard sometimes and I actually expect something to break, but I had always luck!

      @@chriskros8858 yes I know that very good! But here we are talking about the cars in this video, which are mostly the same. Of course the modern car brake much faster and cost much more in repairs and services.. but they don't fall apart just after some kick downs or even some laps on a racetrack. In some cases you can say, that a special modern car is better when older cars, when you reached 300kmh once and everything was blowing up.. and now you can accelerate from 100 to 350 over and over again for the whole day in a street legal car and then take the kids to school. But yes, in most cars or any technical thing, there are things designed to brake, just after the guarantee is over. They want you to come back so you can give them more of your money and that's actually a fuckin crime!

    Seems to me to be about on par. I drive 5000 km per year. I have a 3.0 supercharged. The TDI does nothing for me because there isn't any savings at that distance. Being a speed freak, I tuned it with Stg2 DP and higher octane map. I'd destroy both cars and an S6 too. Some of us buy cars so we can modify them and that makes a clear winner without the comparison.

      @@georgfranko That's cool, but if all fuels are available, I could get as many as 14 different levels of tune from a single source with a 3.0 supercharged. You pick your level based on cost, tolerance for modifications, and fuel types. You can even mix and match. Competition amongst companies is high, which usually brings on the best in them. How fast can I legally modify my diesel to go without compromising my exhaust and have the normal lifespan of factory components?

      @@Todd.T well with the 3.0 TDI a stage 1 tune that is only A remap will get the car from 313 HP and 650 nm to 350 HP and 800 nm. That is the safest tune you can get . If you are willing to change the turbos , exhaust and DPF removal you are looking at 400+

      @@georgfranko Kind if my point. I don't know if your watching, but the EPA is really cracking down on tuners, DPF removal and exhaust mods. Back in the day, I remember my buddy with his 2.0tdi changing the injectors and a few minor mods. Impressive torque and you'd never think is was a four cylinder. Apparently it started to use too much fuel so he put it back. I would have left it...:)

    The BiTDi seems tuned. Which I have to say is good cause you wont see good BiTDi tunes that often on RUclips which perform well. Most just suffer of heat and loose to much power. But yeah that doesn't seem Stock to me. Even a 2017 competition with 326hp (overboost to 350hp) and 650NM (Overboost to 700NM) is slower (with upgraded Intercooler to get the overboost).

      I have an audi a6 bitdi... you don't know what you talk about... stock it makes around 13 seconds. I have stage 1 with 400 hp and 770 nm.. And trust me the time is slightly less than 13 seconds. I keep reading through comments shit that the bitdi is tuned as otherwise it had no chance, diesel is shit etc .. you underestimate this engine😉. This car with this engine is a tank... a very fast tank that easily catches 300 km/h😉

      @@robertminea6909 That would say that at least 10 other Videos of these cars are wrong. Even AutoTopNL had an A6 comp. Which made 350hp and did around 14.52 sec from 100 to 200km/h in the best run. These cars have too small Intercoolers so they can't have thier full potential. The intake Air just gets way to hot. Wagner Tuning has one which will help with this problem. As well the AWD costs power. I drive an A4 with 2.0 Diesel and I love it but I have to stay realistic. You can watch the Video from Darkside Development. These engines don't have that much tuning potential and if you still have your dpf in, with 400hp it will melt someday cause way to high egt's. 400hp with just Software will be a bad live for the engine.

    This is no Stock TDI with 313hp They usually do 100-200km/h 15-16 sec. This one with does ~12.5sec.. The only whey they can manage that is with a tune of 400HP+. (cause of quattro)
    If it's only Stage 1 then he's driving down a hill.
    3.0tfsi is normally just a bit faster (~0.5sec) 0-200.

      You don't know what you're talking about, believe me. A6 bitdi stock makes 100-200 in about 13 seconds. With stage 1 the time decreases slightly below 13 seconds. I have an a6 3.0 bitdi with stage 1, 400 hp and 770nm so believe me I know what I'm talking about and you don't😉

      I dont? But you just confirmed I'm right by saying that 400hp Audi quattro does ~12insh 100-200??? Also I just solded my 7th (Tunned) car, so dont know the best, but sure as f.ck know a lot! Be sure IF YOU gain 150nm and 87Hp you must slice 'at least' 4 sec off the 100-200km/h. So do the math. Also here is my last example: A6 C7 avant 3.0tdi 204hp 450nm=100-200 in 26sec (stock). After tunning to 300hp and 610NM =100-200 18sec. That is minus 8sec!

      No, this engine is unreal. Standard BiTDI is 0.1 faster than the previous gen. S6 (C6 V10 petrol) :D in fact, A6 BiTDI is THE fastest A6 ever made.
