    In this video I will share the hottest trend of this season - Fiberglass strands nails. This is a unique way of doing nail extensions with Hard gel or any other product.
    In this video I showed a way to do fiberglass nails using regular fiberglass. I finally received my order with cosmetic grade fiberglass strands - they works similar but are much more comfortable to work!
    Stay tuned for another tutorial.

    Your suppose to leave the fiberglass, it's suppose to have nice strength, think about it, they use it for build boats. Removing it is silly. Why bother, just put gel on backside. These are gorgeous nails, I tried for my first time n love it! It's much quicker then this.

    I would worry about all of the tiny glass fibers floating around. It would be so easy to still have that around when you remove your mask and you might breath them in. Not a good idea. I have used fiberglass before but it was the fabric woven specifically for creating nails. I didn’t find them to be strong enough for me. Also, the adhesive and fixer used with the fabric didn’t create a smooth surface.

    I tried it . It’s ok ... but my opinion is , it’s faster to just sculpt with a paper nail form . I’m pretty sure you are to put gel on the underside of the nail and not file the fibers off . Don’t you think this method is limited to the square nail shape ?

    • @kkkesser
      @kkkesser 5 лет назад +6

      In Brasil the glass fiber is the main product used with gel. When you get the hang of it, it is faster then tipping. There is a prep work you can do on the fiber that makes it easier to apply. I'm a form girl myself, I just need to convince my clients that my nails are as good as fiber nails, because it is advertised as more resistant 😐

But it looks like fun to just try it out😉 I might actually find some fiberglass in my father's toolshed after he built a fiberglass boat once😁 And as you said those tiny strips are just glass. It is when you brake open those big sheets all day long and the fiberglasses brake into fine dust or get stuck into your skin and also if you work together with the dangerous harpix and build big sculptures this can be dangerous. I really do not think that pulling out a few trips are dangerous at all.

I decided to try with fibreglass and of course I was thinking it would be simple! So I covered My Whole Nail! I didnt know you could use different brushes to paint with! I forgot to use primer, used dehydrator though. I hadn’t bought expensive sets and the bristles were spreading every which way,and flooded the sides and cuticles-very hard with my limited experience. If you use the fiberglass strands that are made for nails they are connected at one end and go on so much smoother and don't come up or twist or separate. So much easier to use. So if you are going to try the fibers... get the ones that are designed for use on nails so they are made to be easy to apply and are very user friendly. And ALWAYS use your mask because you don't want to inhale any of that glass. Very bad for your lungs.

    Is there a benefit to this procedure? I'm just trying to figure out why it's even a thing lol. Like, why would someone do this over using a nail form? It doesn't seem any faster, any easier, any safer, any nicer looking than a simple nail form extension. So I just don't get it. The fiberglass is there for added structural support and strength so why would you file it off ? That just seems like way too much work for this when you can just seal the underside and have that internal fiberglass structural support that only makes these nails stronger. Too much work, time and effort to end up with a simple hard gel nail in the end that you could have gotten with a form or a dual form in much less time and effort .

    Thank-you I like this video.
    I want ask is it I can use soft gel and hard gel together on one application ..?
    Then how to remove the product?

    • @Nailcou
      @Nailcou  5 лет назад +1

      Channel Ok you’re welcome! You can use soft gel as the foundation, but it’s better not to mix them like free edge + body. Removal will be similar to hard gel nails

    1 question.......How do you take it off?

  • @ROSE_reddy
    @ROSE_reddy 2 года назад

    I didn’t know that you could file that long without damaging the tip, so I should’ve filed my misshapen acrylic nail more!

    It's not that people are allergic to glass or that you get an allergic reaction to the fiber glass. What happens is the fibers break off and get in the skin like how a you get a splinter. And they are so small and thin that you can't see it so you get a burning or stinging sensation like you are having an allergic reaction and it causes the skin to break out in what looks like an allergic reaction. That's why you wash after touching to wash off the area to cleanse it of aby fiberglass that is stuck to the skin

    Hi nailcou, could we do this fiber glass nail with poly gel?

    • @Nailcou
      @Nailcou  4 года назад +1

      Technically you can, but it won't be very comfortable as you need to press on the product with a brush - and fibreglass will be flopping

      Verdade, e ela pôs gel a mais o objetivo da fibra de vidro é fazer uma unha comprida e fina

    You were supposed to seal it that way when you file it even the gel and glass stay in tact. Then you buff and add top coat ☺️

    What’s the difference with the fiber glass and regular nail acrylic? Is the fiberglass stronger in a way, or lasts longer? I honestly don’t understand 😱

    • @Nailcou
      @Nailcou  5 лет назад

      Yes, you can do it a bit thinner

  • @faydee6936

    the fibre glass is meant to be encapsulated in the nail to give strength and minimal filing should be done to avoid breathing in the small glass fibres
    good video tho

    Good morning Anastasia, I want to try the Fiberglass system but before I buy can you tell me for whom is Fibergel good for. I have always used gel system and like it as well as Acrylic. How do you know what kind of fiberglass to buy. Good quality over bad. I don’t know what to look for. I want to try on myself and see how it feels before doing on some of my clients. My nails are not the healthiest but nowhere near unhealthy. I’m licensed in hair and nails so can purchase from professional nail distributors. Where did you purchase yours from.
    Many thanks 🙏🏻
