The only youtuber mentionning how the price is TGH and how for LESS, you can get better. Gad damn, the consistency trough the years. the unbiased reviews. This man's a reviewer, but keeps on reminding us how he's also a consumer first. big ups to that. Huge respect for still vieweing it all trough the consumers eyes.

Do you check your phone often? Flipping it open every time you wanna use your phone gets old really fast. If you think you spend too much time on your phone and think this will help reduce being on your phone, it'll probably not work and just end up being annoying.
Not saying you shouldn't get it, but have a real good think about how often you'll need to flip it open, and will that improve your experience?
I was considering a flip for the gimmick and it being something new, but when I really thought about it I decided it'd be a neusence more than anything.

You might end up loving a flip phone, just thought I'd share my thoughts process from earlier in the year. I'm glad I went with the S24 Ultra instead of the Fold. You also pay less for more power if you buy candy bar.

Probably should've done it while the preorder period was still active. You could've gotten double the storage for free.

Just today my Moto razr+ 2024 arrived and I’m in love with it. The outer display is actually very usable, vibration motor is great, sound quality is great too. But most importantly it has moto UI which almost looks like a pixel phone, one more thing is that it’s fully integrated with Google photos (Magic eraser, editor and photo editor). Thanks flossy for the review; even though I am not interested in the Z flip 6 it’s always nice to check your videos out.
I plan on getting it too.
I'm trading in my regular Samsung S23 for the regular 599$ Motorola Razr.
I'll still be in the Samsung ecosystem because I still got my Samsung S23 ultra. Also i got my OnePlus 9 5G
I was thinking of getting the 2024 Razr (the cheaper one), but I wanted to see more reviews. The 2023 Razr is cheaper and has less of a cover screen like I want, but I don't know. I can't decide which one to buy!
@@brokenmindsette6302 it actually depends on your budget, the cheaper one seems like a good buy too and it's the same screen size as last years + model. Also has an ultrawide camera but I myself find the extra zoom more useful; also the cheaper model has 200 mha more battery. I'm very happy with my purchase but it depends on your budget, I got it for $5.99 each month on at&t with no trade in required.

I noticed my Flip6 isn't as bright as my Flip5 - Floss only reviewer calling this out. Another killer video Floss, can always count on you to do us right and tell it the way it is.
Did it go back to normal?
@@FlossyCarter Mine is still dimmer than my Flip5. Just found one website that tested the max manual brightness on Flip6 is 760 nits while Flip5 is 789 nits. Flip6 does gets brighter than Flip5 but only in auto mode.

Upgraded from the S23 Ultra to the Flip 6 and I love the Flip 6, its a nice new phone and compactness is the best part.
Good luck on getting inferior camera setup but going from candy bar to flip style is a welcome change.

The Z Fold 6 design has been polished and I love it.
First of all, thank you for posting this review. It's by and far, the most comprehensive review out of all the others out there. I did check the whole brightness thing on my end and never had any issues, so maybe it was a software glitch or bug on your end. Hopefully Samsung knows about it and patches it.

Brother I gotta say I saw the thumbnail and seen hour long video I was like damn might not watch the whole thing. Not only did I watch the whole thing but I subscribed this is by far the best review I have seen on a product all the things I wanted to see and I was entertained the whole way through. Much love from Florida got a new viewer here. Also getting rid of my S24 ultra and picking up the Z flip I cant stand this huge brick I dont use the Pen I want ez and portable cause I am an old man.
$1100 is the biggest reason I can't bring myself to get this. Love the thought of going back to the flip format and smaller phones.

I think Motorola made the right decision in putting the 8s Gen 3 instead of the 8 Gen 3. It helped them undercut Samsung, it'll get better battery life because the 8 gen 3 isn't as efficient as the 8 gen 2, and also the 8 gen 3 is kind of overkill for the flip phones.

I just flipped for the flip 6 by way of apple. I miss the power of the 13 pro cam but I also missed the magic of Android. I'm retired now and can still make the camera work for me but I don't need heavy duty photography. Frankly I was a bit bored with ios. Relearning all the fun stuff. Love your channel and Shoes. Watching on a Flip 6. I got it with an awesome pre order deal and trade. So that jelped my decision. I LOVE this phone. It's so much fun. I do have similar petty gripes. Where is my IR bladter MAG SAFE gor goodness sakes! A case and a charger. I do notice a real world fifference, although slight, in the battery life, perhaps because the 5 was such a trash battery. And you are 100% correct, i am in the medical field, iI do wear scrubs, and i liove that this fits in the pocket! I have the brightness issue as well. Hope it is resolved in an update.

The iris scanner was the best face unlock in my opinion..
I would even assume that Samsung designed the outer display the way they did for two 2 reasons. Number 1, to stand out from the competitors. It's not much you can do these days as far as designs. Number 2, looking at the Razr you see where the camera cut outs are. Some of the info on the screen is being cut off and not usable. The other lil bit is so insignificant that it honestly doesn't matter. I think the Razr has the thing where you can cut off the bottom half to give it a full look. So with that feature on, it's about the same size as Flip 6.
I'm only here for FLOSSY and because I'm itching to pull that Razr trigga. 😌

So, I already have the S24 Ultra which I love. Now, I had an S22 Ultra so I traded that in for the Z Fold 6 and so far I love it. Granted, the camera sucks but I love the idea of having a phone that converts to a mini tablet. I hope the Z fold 7 is upgraded to the size of a S24 Ultra instead of the narrow size phone they currently have. You made a video talking about this for which I agree.

...one thing I've noticed on the 6, is that the edges being slightly raised can feel a little weird swiping in from the side. I think it's because of the new dust resistance, but it is a nit pick. I do appreciate that the crease is a little bit smaller, but I would like to see them eliminate it entirely. Anyway, great review as always

I have the fold 5. I work in sandblasting and it's handled it very well. If it gets dust an crap all over it I just blow it all down with the air gun and its fine.

My S24 Ultra has the same brightness issues from time to time. It did it out the box..I was about to return, but it self corrected, but it still does it every now and then. At least 5 times so far.
I love how Floss talks about the cons first so that we already know what we’ll be dealing with. Also I love is that he talks about alternatives & competition.

Speak the truth Floss! My friend grabbed a Flip 5 last year, I nabbed the Motorola RAZR 2023 base model. We both considered an upgrade this year, but his 5 was just fine, like mint. He passed on the 6. I on the other hand happily upgraded to a RAZR 2024 base as it's like getting last years RAZR Plus for around $650 (there's a permanent 10% off coupon for Motorola fyi). My friend saw my new RAZR and he might actually go for it, he loves the big outer screen and the nice build but most importantly the price. He'll keep his Flip 5 as a backup. Moto did it right this year, and they priced it right. I hope you do a review on at least one of them Floss, they are pretty damn good!

I have been contemplating upgrading from the flip 5 to the 6 for weeks now just for the battery alone.if I trade in the 5 for the 6 with 512 gb right now it will cost me 400 out of pocket. But if flossy says the battery isn't noticable, then I'm staying put. Thanks again flossy ❤

@@brandonsmith6962LOL. I had horrible experience with Apple as well. I ended up going to a repair center just to get ripped off with the repair fees for my macbook. I asked why the logic board stopped working after 1 year 6 months and they just said "it happens sometimes." To make matters worse, they even added a charge for the speakers which are working perfectly. And when I told them about it, they just said, "okay we can remove the speaker replacement." talk about ripping off customers.
I'm not necessarily loyal to one brand, but I've got to say, my experiences with Apple have consistently been top-notch. Like one time with my 2019 MacBook Pro 16”-it was out of AppleCare, but when I called up support with an issue, they sorted me out no problem although they didn’t replace it for free because the MBP is no longer covered by AppleCare. And then with my old 2015 MacBook Pro's webcam issue, I just booked a repair through their site, showed up, and they fixed it on the spot because I had AppleCare. It’s a shame Apple hasn’t ventured into making smart rings yet. Until they do, the Ultrahuman Ring Air is holding up pretty well for me.

I will not buy from Samsung directly anymore for this reason. Through my network. I was in there arguing with a lady I couldn't understand just to talk to another person and she wouldn't let me lmao anyways just ranting guys. The Galaxy buds 3 pro are dope but the ringing on ambient mode is driving me crazy.

One thing that I'll never agree with is that Samsung is over priced compared to their competitors... When we compare the competition, it's always substantially worse; especially in the software, updates and support areas. We all know that none of the Chinese equivalents are better. They may look great visually and on paper but in the real world, they are trash.

The last Samsung I used was the S22+ Ultra, then I had a Xiaomi Note 12+ Pro 5g, now its the FLip 6 due to contract renewal, ngl as a first time User it feels amazing.
Got this baby in Mint and love it so far! After spending a year with the razr23 which I hated and having been a Knight since the Galaxy 4, it feels soooo good to be back home. I ain't never cheating on Samsung again!

Great stuff, started using my flip 5 again, able to do everything you just talked about in this video on 6, helped me to save my money. But i did get the fold 6 and traded in a fold 4.
Flossy you CAN use dex with your flip 6. Go to developer settings, enable "force desktop mode", use a type c hub to connect to a display and enjoy. In fact, you get access to the New Dex interface which is native on tablets and never before seen on a mobile phone device.
For my past 4 phones, 3 watches, and a pair of galaxy buds, I have come here for your reviews before ever considering to buy a new device especially when it comes to Samsung! I can't believe it has been that long already, so thanks for always keeping it real and posting consistent content, Floss. You are my favorite reviewer by far 💯 White shoes is a close second 😺

Have had Z FLIP 1,3, and just traded 5 thru Samsung for the 6....BIG UPGRADE for me!! 1st...CREASE IS MUCH LESS NOTICABLE💪🏽...2nd...build is much better...6 is thicker like a slab phone almost unfolded which makes easier to hold for bigger hands...3...Outer display is brighter and 120hz now which I mos definitely can notice!....4...Camera is lil better.....OVERALL worth the upgrade to me with Samnsung trade offer! Lovin it! 💪🏽💯

I got my Flip 6 a few days ago and love it. Got a free LED case too :) There are a few visible differences between flip 5 and flip 6. The crease is less visible, camera and display better , the finish mat look as well.

Hey Floss, I think there may be a workaround for DEX. Look in your "developer settings" and check the "enable desktop". I believe it should allow you to use DEX, but you may have to be hardwired(?). Love your vids and most of all, White Shoes!
