@@Johnmims65 As much as I enjoy the Z Fold 6, I definitely held on to my S9 ultra. That tablet is just on another level and the Z Fold is not a replacement for it in my opinion. S24 ultra - maybe if you're not very picky about photos.
1000% agree. The fold I want is basically 2 S24 Ultras connected with a 6000mah battery, Bluetooth s pen, latest tech (cameras/processor, etc), AND an sd card slot. I dont care how many people say "thats old, get over it". NOPE. I'd pay 2k or more for that easily. I'm sticking with my S24U. I had the Fold 3 and every year since I've been disappointed with the new fold releases. Samsung's charging premium prices but not giving a premium device.

how is the durability. I have broken every phone screen on every note and S device I've had multiple times, and i have pretty heavy duty cases and glass screen protectors
@@bmw_m4255 I had fold 1 - 3 dropped them caseless on the floor, carpet, wood, outside and nothing more then a scuff. obviously every device has that special spot if it falls its done but hasnt happened on my devices

I'm a long time Samsung knight and I think it's high time the company gets called out for their presentation. There's absolutely no justification for including even a basic charger and case for a $2000 phone
Tim Cook and Samsungs three leaders laugh at us because they can get away with it. and no one will legit challenge them. You know they are laughing because they include more extras in their cheap stuff presentations are much richer and satisfying.
I'll just be honest in speaking for myself, LAST thing I need to be included with a phone is a charger. I honestly don't even need cables, I've collected so many over the years. I'm sure Samsung and Apple both have done research and come to the conclusion that the vast, if not all customers considering their higher end devices don't need a new charger. My one exception in that mindset would be when charging standards change. When Apple switched from lightning to USB C, they should have included brand new chargers with every phone. But for a Fold? 95% or more of customers I PROMISE you already have a stack of cables and chargers at home that they've amassed over the years

Flossy..my brotha I had deep thoughts about upgrading from the fold5. But with a $1200 + another $120 +$50 early sign up. Phone only cost me $707 that included tax and shipping. This phone just feels better in the hand and looks amazing. One advantage of trade ins. Couldn't afford it any other way. You the Man!!

Physics aren't allowing that. The cameras simply don't fit, because it's too thin. You need distance between lens and sensor to make the sensor larger. They already made the bulge larger and it's still too thin.
Trading my Z Fold 3, $804 out the door with discounts and trade. Huge upgrade from the 3. Not perfect but addresses most of the issues I had with the 3. I used to trade once or twice a year but no more and I'm at the edge for trade in value now. Flossy always the best reviews for years!!! All your points are valid and keep pushing for IR blaster! I switched my S23 Ultra for this Fold6 I'm using rn. I never used the pen on my ultra and how wide that phone was in my pocket. Especially with an Otterbox case. Now with the Fold6 and Otterbox's new one piece case, I'm loving this Fold 6. I have a S9 Ultra tablet so i dont need the pen built in to my phone, personally. I can't complain on the price of the Fold6, my S23 Ultra that i personally was ready to get rid of. Fetched $800 on trade in. 2yr old phone for a brand new phone. All and all i rly love this Fold6, my first Fold and pairing with the Buds3, omg, it's a wrap. Thx for this upload Flossy. I lurk and rarely msg, but rly enjoy all your reviews.

I just stopped using my note 4 about 3 weeks ago after dropping it. I still remember buying it all those years ago when it was the new hotness. Wasn't sure what to get so many options. It's a bit overwhelming so settled for an A35 just to have something newer and I needed something quick before I left on vacation. This or the S24 ultra have caught my eye.

its a downgrade if you use the fold for media consumtion, youtube and videos will have less video screen and bigger black bars , games and viewable screen overall will be less because its a overall smaller phone and more rectangle than normal phone aspect ratio than the fold 3 which is what most media is made for
@@sidequest_studio im talking about the inside .. the phone is shorter but wider causing the regular 21:1 aspect ratio to be worse on the fold 4 5 and even more worse on the 6 because they made it EVEN shorter and wider = bad aspect ratio for normal videos/21:1 lookit up on on google or even ask chatgpt

I upgraded from the Z Fold 4. Cover screen is more usable, much better battery life, lighter build, fun ai features, and much brighter screens - especially outdoors.
@@nac5000 typing experience still isn't as good as a wider display but major improvement for me over the ZF4. I've been using the outer display a lot more for quick stuff

You're the man Just got my Fold 6 after riding the iPhone 15 Pro Max train for half a year. Prior to that I've been with Samsung flagships for the past 10 years or so. I really got the confirmation I needed after spending some time with my iPhone, even though it's a great device, I really do appreciate a well-polished Android experience, especially with this kind of wrapping This is my first foldable. I spend way too much money on camera gear as I'm an enthusiast photographer doing product presentation and a heap of other things - so I got this phone via my MNO on a down payment deal. I can swap phones each year while doing my down payments. Landed on Fold 6 eventually. Despite seeing that it's getting bashed somewhat for "lack of innovation" and whatnot (I've been critical myself), I'm really impressed with this phone in general, only after having it for a few days time Thanks again for your useful insight Flossy, keep it up!

I'm loving it Floss. Moving from five to six. The silver option is stunning! The front screen increase is minimal but still allows for easy one hand use. It just feels so premium and when you trade in its never TGH.

You are hands down the best RUclipsr it's not even close. I've always been a big phone guy, always had to have the latest note and Ultra. I just traded in my precious 24 Ultra for this z-fold 6. I am shocked how much I actually enjoy the narrow screen. I always had a habit of laying down in bed and holding my ultra while watching RUclips and dropping that son of a b**** on my face. this z-fold closed is amazing for situations like this
You are completely right, 2000 EUR with no case, charger, and no pen! It is incredible how Samsung is in such a comfortable position that it is trying to get as much money as possible from its customers, just like Apple.
Just got a Z Fold 6 this New Year's sale for $1000. An upgrade from my S23 128GB. I own a Tab S8 Ultra and Galaxy Buds 3. I love the ecosystem. The only thing I don't have is a Galaxy Watch. I used to have one, but I prefer my good old automatic watch.

I don't know why people don't get it. The outer display is perfect for checking quick updates. Pocket friendly size and easy to hold while talking. If you want to use the screen u can always unfold. Z fold has the perfect proportions. S pen integration I agree but not a deal breaker. On Battery and charging...way behind industry standard.

Just want to add my quick two cents. I've been an owner of EVERY iteration of the Fold series. Having now used the Fold 6, let me share why I am happy that I upgraded. Floss is right, the 3mm increase on the outer screen is substantively more useful. But what I really feel has been under highlighted for those that are a daily carrier of the fold 5 (and earlier models) is the weight difference. It is substantial, not subtle. You just don't have (feel) that brick feel like you always do. Also, the phone is definitely snappier and I would also say, I have noticed a measurable difference in battery life. I'm a hyper user (i.e. spreadsheets, powerpoints, multiple windows, definitely texting and emailing ALL THE TIME and streaming content during at least 20% of my use) for the business that I am in. For those on the fence, I hope this end-user experience helps you. @Floss, great and high quality video as always my man! I literally make (expensive) buying decisions on your recommendations alone.
That camera/zoom test was VALID AF. They really need to prioritize this as the *true* flagship they seem to market (and price) this at. Makes me wonder what amount of money they value the phone at a base hardware level-- before the folding ability. I would imagine much less than the S24 Ultra.
Temped to move from BS iPhone back to Samsung with this Fold, but the lack of battery and camera upgrade feels wrong for such an expensive device. I'll be waiting for that S25 Ultra. Hope Samsung does it big for that one and doesn't hold back.

Hello @user-rj4jj6vk9b, I am aware that Samsung is planning to release an Ultra version of the Fold in the coming months. From what I understand, it will be larger and wider than the current model. It will be interesting to see how the market responds to this new device.

After checking out the Z Fold6 at Best Buy, I decided to go with the OnePlus Open due to the wider outer display and better cameras. Since I also use the S24 Ultra, I won't be missing out on Galaxy AI features.
I have the OPO. I advise anyone to NOT BUY ONE. A tear appeared on my screen and service has now had it for 1.5 months. Imagine not having a phone for this long. It's an amazing phone but Customer Service is TRASH. Switching back to the Fold 6 as we speak.

Dude this literally just happened to my SECOND OnePlus open. Im awaiting their bs customer support to get back to me but already knowing this is going to be terrible. Their screens have a serious design flaw allowing dust and debris to get in through hinge. @ZoneTan10
I agree with your gripes. The only thing I’ll add is that they removed the gif option from smart select. Making gifs on Samsung is way easier than Apple for their other phones. That needs to be brought back to the Fold 6. There is a long way however. Screen record. Then crop it and make the gif. But that’s a whole extra process that wasn’t necessary before

I have a Zfold 4 and before that a LG G4. I used the to love the IR blaster on the old phone. I didn't use it alot but there were times when it came in handy. I agree with everything you said. I hope Samsung is watching and listening!
As Flossy said, if I'm asked to part with 2K of my hard-earned cash, I need to see some respect in the form of fast charging, a larger battery, decent cameras, the same outer screen as the S24U...and the S pen slot. Last but not least, please Samsung, find a solution. The flexible inner screen must be more robust and I'll take 3 years of OS upgrades instead of the "seven" no one will use. Because the phone will be dead and recycled a long time before that expires.
I just try a few spots before I actually stick it, the best way is to use a MagSafe charger and make sure it’s charging, then use a pencil and mark it.
The batter life has gone backwards compared to the fold 5 because they kept the same capacity while the screen is brighter, even the charging speed is gone slightly worse compared to the fold 5 , it's ridiculous now
Z fold ultra, and I'm back in the fold game! I hated the smaller outer display because i used it 80% of the time but loved being able to unflold it. Bigger outer display ill give them my money again. Good review!

Trading my Z Fold 3, $804 out the door with discounts and trade. Huge upgrade from the 3. Not perfect but addresses most of the issues I had with the 3. I used to trade once or twice a year but no more and I'm at the edge for trade in value now. Flossy always the best reviews for years!!! All your points are valid and keep pushing for IR blaster! I switched my S23 Ultra for this Fold6 I'm using rn. I never used the pen on my ultra and how wide that phone was in my pocket. Especially with an Otterbox case. Now with the Fold6 and Otterbox's new one piece case, I'm loving this Fold 6. I have a S9 Ultra tablet so i dont need the pen built in to my phone, personally. I can't complain on the price of the Fold6, my S23 Ultra that i personally was ready to get rid of. Fetched $800 on trade in. 2yr old phone for a brand new phone. All and all i rly love this Fold6, my first Fold and pairing with the Buds3, omg, it's a wrap. Thx for this upload Flossy. I lurk and rarely msg, but rly enjoy all your reviews.

I just stopped using my note 4 about 3 weeks ago after dropping it. I still remember buying it all those years ago when it was the new hotness. Wasn't sure what to get so many options. It's a bit overwhelming so settled for an A35 just to have something newer and I needed something quick before I left on vacation. This or the S24 ultra have caught my eye.
I loved my note 20 ultra 🥲but traded it for what i have now fold 4 in which im going to trade for fold 6 lol couldnt pass up the 1000 trade in
@D753e I had a 20 ulta and ran it over. Then I got a regular Note 20. Which doesn't have an SD slot. At the time it sucked BUT I got the kind than plugs into my charging port

I just switched from iPhone 13 Pro max to the fold 6 and I really like it! It is smaller in the pocket, but has a bigger screen when I need it - awesome. I had so much fun with your video 🤣

its a downgrade if you use the fold for media consumtion, youtube and videos will have less video screen and bigger black bars , games and viewable screen overall will be less because its a overall smaller phone and more rectangle than normal phone aspect ratio than the fold 3 which is what most media is made for

Hi Floss, great review as always! I just traded in my Fold 3 for this Fold 6 and I am amazed by the jump in spec, I haven't even gotten through a third of the functionality it's just incredible. This Samsung Knight proudly standing up!!
I upgraded from the Z Fold 4. Cover screen is more usable, much better battery life, lighter build, fun ai features, and much brighter screens - especially outdoors.
I 2nd this motion. Noticeable difference.
I also have a F4! can you now type on cover screen without errors? 😅 that's my main issue....😅
@@nac5000 typing experience still isn't as good as a wider display but major improvement for me over the ZF4. I've been using the outer display a lot more for quick stuff

That's because coming from the Fold4 is an upgrade going to the Fold6. However, those with a Fold5 doesn't even need to upgrade.

I'm loving it Floss. Moving from five to six. The silver option is stunning! The front screen increase is minimal but still allows for easy one hand use. It just feels so premium and when you trade in its never TGH.

You are hands down the best RUclipsr it's not even close. I've always been a big phone guy, always had to have the latest note and Ultra. I just traded in my precious 24 Ultra for this z-fold 6. I am shocked how much I actually enjoy the narrow screen. I always had a habit of laying down in bed and holding my ultra while watching RUclips and dropping that son of a b**** on my face. this z-fold closed is amazing for situations like this

Just got a Z Fold 6 this New Year's sale for $1000. An upgrade from my S23 128GB. I own a Tab S8 Ultra and Galaxy Buds 3. I love the ecosystem. The only thing I don't have is a Galaxy Watch. I used to have one, but I prefer my good old automatic watch.

I don't know why people don't get it. The outer display is perfect for checking quick updates. Pocket friendly size and easy to hold while talking. If you want to use the screen u can always unfold. Z fold has the perfect proportions. S pen integration I agree but not a deal breaker. On Battery and charging...way behind industry standard.

Just want to add my quick two cents. I've been an owner of EVERY iteration of the Fold series. Having now used the Fold 6, let me share why I am happy that I upgraded. Floss is right, the 3mm increase on the outer screen is substantively more useful. But what I really feel has been under highlighted for those that are a daily carrier of the fold 5 (and earlier models) is the weight difference. It is substantial, not subtle. You just don't have (feel) that brick feel like you always do. Also, the phone is definitely snappier and I would also say, I have noticed a measurable difference in battery life. I'm a hyper user (i.e. spreadsheets, powerpoints, multiple windows, definitely texting and emailing ALL THE TIME and streaming content during at least 20% of my use) for the business that I am in. For those on the fence, I hope this end-user experience helps you. @Floss, great and high quality video as always my man! I literally make (expensive) buying decisions on your recommendations alone.
That camera/zoom test was VALID AF. They really need to prioritize this as the *true* flagship they seem to market (and price) this at. Makes me wonder what amount of money they value the phone at a base hardware level-- before the folding ability. I would imagine much less than the S24 Ultra.

After checking out the Z Fold6 at Best Buy, I decided to go with the OnePlus Open due to the wider outer display and better cameras. Since I also use the S24 Ultra, I won't be missing out on Galaxy AI features.
I have the OPO. I advise anyone to NOT BUY ONE. A tear appeared on my screen and service has now had it for 1.5 months. Imagine not having a phone for this long. It's an amazing phone but Customer Service is TRASH. Switching back to the Fold 6 as we speak.

Dude this literally just happened to my SECOND OnePlus open. Im awaiting their bs customer support to get back to me but already knowing this is going to be terrible. Their screens have a serious design flaw allowing dust and debris to get in through hinge. @ZoneTan10

I agree with your gripes. The only thing I’ll add is that they removed the gif option from smart select. Making gifs on Samsung is way easier than Apple for their other phones. That needs to be brought back to the Fold 6. There is a long way however. Screen record. Then crop it and make the gif. But that’s a whole extra process that wasn’t necessary before

I have a Zfold 4 and before that a LG G4. I used the to love the IR blaster on the old phone. I didn't use it alot but there were times when it came in handy. I agree with everything you said. I hope Samsung is watching and listening!

As Flossy said, if I'm asked to part with 2K of my hard-earned cash, I need to see some respect in the form of fast charging, a larger battery, decent cameras, the same outer screen as the S24U...and the S pen slot. Last but not least, please Samsung, find a solution. The flexible inner screen must be more robust and I'll take 3 years of OS upgrades instead of the "seven" no one will use. Because the phone will be dead and recycled a long time before that expires.

I just try a few spots before I actually stick it, the best way is to use a MagSafe charger and make sure it’s charging, then use a pencil and mark it.

The batter life has gone backwards compared to the fold 5 because they kept the same capacity while the screen is brighter, even the charging speed is gone slightly worse compared to the fold 5 , it's ridiculous now
Z fold ultra, and I'm back in the fold game! I hated the smaller outer display because i used it 80% of the time but loved being able to unflold it. Bigger outer display ill give them my money again. Good review!
