It is confirmed in one in-game book or another that the reason the moon doesn't phase is because, once upon a time, there were 3 moon sisters who lived in a place called the lunar palace. Every month, the 3 sisters would have to switch places with each other in the sky, resulting in the phasing of the moon, lest some big destruction hits the land. At some point, something prevented them from switching places, and the destruction happened. The moon we see in the sky is one of the 3 moon sisters' corpse.

Teyvat in Hebrew means Ark. The whole world is a safety vessel running from a cataclysm. IMO Teyvat is a simulation, Irminsul is the OS, that’s why you can edit memories.
I could also mean Teyvat is actually a gigantic domain, as we enter to the game /through/ doors. Fake sky could really be just a fake sky and the option we are using to change time of the day, may be a real device to control the domain's time.

I would agree with you, except that the spiral abyss resets according to the real life lunar cycle. The lore in one of the in-game books states that there were 3 moon sisters who switched places 3 times a month. Something stopped them from switching one time and, as a result, calamity struck the land and killed the sisters. The moon we see in the sky now is a corpse of one of the three sisters

I did also hear a theory that Teyvat actually exists in the "center" of the world and Abyss is the actual surface of the planet or something. But there's so many theories and I'd honestly just rather wait and see what is real

I just think "the sky" is a metaphor for Celestia, the land of the gods. It's surely destroyed or dead or just didn't existed in the first place and was a lie to make humans hope for going there, thus doing what "something" wants them to do

Teyvat in Hebrew means Ark. The whole world is a safety vessel running from a cataclysm. IMO Teyvat is a simulation, Irminsul is the OS, that’s why you can edit memories.
I could also mean Teyvat is actually a gigantic domain, as we enter to the game /through/ doors.
Fake sky could really be just a fake sky and the option we are using to change time of the day, may be a real device to control the domain's time.
When he said the sky is fake, He perhaps meant that it is not a creation of the first creator of teyvat. In some cultures, i forgot wich exactly, they see everything which just a consequence of the creation and not the creation itself as a falsehood.
It is actually a reversed world. And on a static that doesn't rotate. That's why there is a term Inteyvat which should be the "opposite"(?) of Teyvat. And yeah, the stars are in the abyss. Which is what Katheryne always says and you said here, "to the stars and the abyss".
We have 2 ways to get out of Teyvat... The Khaenri'ah path or the Abyss path and the Celestia path or the normal path. But gods won't let people escape them easily, right? They might have been using faith of people to become more powerful.
Really?.... the moon having no phase is just a common trope in video games. The full moon looks the best and it would be pointless to code an accurate or even inaccurate lunar cycle.
I would agree with you, except that the spiral abyss resets according to the real life lunar cycle. The lore in one of the in-game books states that there were 3 moon sisters who switched places 3 times a month. Something stopped them from switching one time and, as a result, calamity struck the land and killed the sisters. The moon we see in the sky now is a corpse of one of the three sisters
