Most sus thing is the Traveler canonically has the ability to see/hear people’s wishes and memories every now and then in quests (but not consistently BUT quite often in various world quests). This ranges from archon quests to world quests.
…because they’re a “shooting star”, which people typically wish upon and are able to accumulate that energy to become stronger, which we did repeatedly during quests. It’s all also connected to gnosises and what they’re doing to archon powers.
I wonder if there's something about the similarity between Hyperborea and Snezhnaya, Natlantean and Natlan, and Remuria and Fontaine; these were the first three samsara's chronologically, but the last three nations we visit chronologically
And Khaenri'ah is below Sumeru so the 4th matches too. Nobody ever mentions it though. Is it just too obvious to mention? Why does René run backwards through the nations relative to the Travelers route? Well... I tend to feel René was just making up baloney with all of that stuff, to keep funds for his cult coming in.
It makes me think that Travelers journey has them learning the history of Teyvat in reverse somewhat. We’re learning the most recent history first, Mondstadt and Liyue. We learn more about the catacysm and earlier from Sumeru. Now we’re onto learning about the 3rd cycle with Fontaine. So I think Natlan will cover the 2nd and Sneznaya will be the 1st. I think the fact the 2nd cycle being named Natlantean really lends credence to that. It’s almost like for every new Samsara a new nation is formed. Edit: minor spelling and punctuation fixes.
Scaramouche also tells Lumine that she lived with the Jester in Khaenri’ah when the Hester was a royal Madge. This would be prior to the fall of Khaenri’ah and the cataclysm sat the year 500. So Aether and Lumine were on Teyvat years, centuries before 500 which prior to the beginning of the games.
Besides Venti expressing his knowledge about having met the Traveler before, Dainsleif also mentions his knowledge about the Traveler’s brother/sister. Zhongli also knows the Traveler as well, though the Traveler is not aware of Zhongli prior to meeting him in Liyue.
isnt weird why traveler next destination is pretty much messed up, like from mondstats to liyue... then from liyue to inazuma... and from inazuma to sumeru... from sumeru to fontaine and fontaine to natlan, (natlan said to be set at the west part of sumeru)... and everytime traveler arrive, traveler manage to prevent the catastrophic when it was about to happen after the traveler arrived at each nation EVERY SINGLE TIME
Could it be that the 4 descenders represent the 4 horsemen of Apocalypse in the bible? Conquest - Phanes/Primordial one War - 2nd who came Famine - 3rd descender Death - Aether/Lumine (MC) Will the traveler bring death to all? Or will he sacrifice himself by death to save Teyvat?
from what i see, teyvat chapter dosnt necessarily mean we leave teyvat one its over, just that weve finished exploring it, an the greater plot unfolds@@Cudeus
Or if we take the Hoyoverse lore 4 Heerscher Void Sentience Finality Origin Void controls Space and Reality Sentience controls the Mind mass Brainwashing and Memorie Alteration Finality is the Destined End of all Origin is the Beginn of all
honestly i have seen the intro cutscene so many times that I have remembered the phrase pain says "so you say you were about to leave this world" so... it implies our traveller knows they have been here before. it is just they don't talk about it, about anything they know. traveler also knows exactly why they can wield the power of elements without a vision since the very start. what if.. traveler is very well aware of what is going on with this world but didn't expect for their sibling to be trapped? it is not a new theory but a new angle. maybe some of their memories were deleted cause, well, traveler implies heavily that they don't know teyvatian. idk im not a lorist myself. but I also find it interesting to "leave this world" we try to confront sustainer and dainsleif says to save our sibling we need to fight him, what if he is the new sustainer? crack theory but we definitely have a loop and rain is also blond as kevin kaslana and kiana kaslana. idk honestly i have created this piece of thought right now but it sounds to me very interesting
The traveler seems to have known what was going on because why would they leave a perfectly habitable world? Unless it was going through a conflict (the cataclysm) or there's something eerie happening in the said world. The latter is something they're probably going to find out. I was initially thinking that the secret is actually the fact that the descender's remains were used for Gnosises but i feel like that's not the only thing. This is another idea i had after the Trailblazer speculations. There's also theories going around about how the twins could be trailblazers. The previous descenders/trailblazers went missing after they entered Teyvat because they were used as material for the gnosis. Now the twins are here in search of a habitable world without a clue as to why they got trapped. Because the previous worlds they visited never had something like this occur. I'm probably wrong but i like to do theorising once in a blue moon. So take everything as a joke because I'm definitely an amateur at this.
Another thing is that if Irminsul records the information of the loops, the abbys twin must have already completed a loop, but the playable twin hasn't done it yet, because there's no information to be found about them, making them a descender and also invulnerable to changes in Irminsulf itself, because the tree has never recorded any info on them (something similar to what happens with Zhongli, who is said to be the only archon unaffected by the Irminsul change made during the Sumeru quest) But why is that? If both twins arrived at the same moment, why was the playable twin 'protected' from the loop while they were sealed? And who did that? The abbys twin admits they have already finished their journey and that made them understand the true nature of the world, which makes it clearer that they might be trying for a second (or even more) time to change fate, so they must have failed to complete the 2nd half of the 4th cycle before. And so the question remains the same, why is the traveler we use only in their 1st loop? Or who erased it from previous ones? Zhongli mentions a couple of times that the traveler is a witness, and suggests that they are a better way to save the history of this world, making them a truly outsider to Teyvat and its nature (the loop). So what's the difference between the twins is something I hope they'll explain eventually
If the Primordial One is them, then their androgynous nature allowed them to create themselves. I can’t fully explain without doing more in depth research but I assume Traveler and their sibling are the Primordial One. One needs the other to learn the true nature of the world so they’re on the same page, and they fully utilized their strength together. Remember Traveler doesn’t have its full power unlocked.
it's so interesting as How in Honkai Impact 3rd newer chapter 42, The Planet called Phosphorus is reset by a flood but only Project Ark remain the same as it's from outside. There's a lot of parallel between story in Genshin and Honkai during the same time period, as in the end of Part 1 Honkai is all about everyone living in a dream at the same time as Sumeru's Samsara Archon Quest happened.
One interesting detail to note is that in dharmic religions(hinduism, Buddhism, etc from which samasara has importance) is the existence of 4 yugas. Yugas are ages which aren't equally divided. Each Yuga represents a degradation in human spiritual life, followed by a period of renewal. According to the ancient indian philosophy(from where genshin has borrowed similar terms) the world will be destroyed at the end of the 4th Yuga and is started over. I don't know much about this but my mentor told me about these stuffs. If you could do some research about this, you may be able to connect some dots.
Very nice explanation about the difference between a samsara cycle and your typical time loop story in fiction! The Narzissenkreuz World Quest was done so well and opened up so many new avenues to research. And about the Natlantean part I actually recently wrote a theory about Natlan and how it would relate back to those dragons from the time of their defeat. It's great to see that the theories the Genshin theorists have been coming up with are slowly coming together from multiple angles. Teyvat Historia also came up with a good one about the Third Descender and Ashikai recently started getting sus about Zhongli's role in all of this. Also I'm glad someone else noticed that the Prayers Artifacts weren't telling a story about different time loops but different samsara cycles of the same timeline.
Do you know the significance of Charcoal-Baked Ajilenakh Cake? During the Subzeruz festival the Traveler suddenly runs off and goes to a tavern where they order a plate of Charcoal-Baked Ajilenakh Cake. Do you know why? I have never seen anyone else ever talk about it and I feel it's quite important to understanding the Traveler. It's in the quest "The Arrival of the Sabzeruz Festival"
To me, the implication is that the Traveler tried to do something they would never normally do, to test their intuition that they were stuck in a loop. I think it has some relevant, for example the Raiden Shogun said that the Traveler was unpredictable IIRC. Could support the idea they they can remake (and are remaking as they travel) Teyvat.
So far so good, but... if in each samsara the Traveler picks a different "something I'd never normally do" then it wouldn't work. So what does that imply? @@nwoDekaTsyawlA
@@davidjohnson8273 Sorry, not only do I not understand what kind of answer you are looking for, but I don't know what you mean by "it wouldn't work". What wouldn't work?
Ah well we need to back up a step then. What is it about eating Charcoal-Baked Ajilenakh Cake that helps decide if Traveler is in a loop? @@nwoDekaTsyawlA
I’d also like to point out that the Sustainer might be the God of Space (God of the Void?) Genshin’s artifacts system have long hinted that it might actually refer to Phanes and his 4 shining shades: Flower of Life - the God of Life was the one who created Egeria to replace the former Sovereign of Hydro as the heart of the Primordial Sea Plume of Death - ??? Sands of Eon - Istaroth, the God of Time is intimately close to Barbatos and Makoto, as well as the people of Enkanomiya Goblet of Eonothem - although “Eonothem” is a geological term, the original name of this piece in CN and JP can be translated as “Cup of Emptiness” and even “Goblet of the Void” in German (which is where ‘Herrscher’ comes from) Circlet of Logos - means reason or thought
I agree about not being a time loop thing, but what I don't agree on is teyvat was doomed to be flooded by the "primordial sea" portion. Basically, the Irminsul does a "reset" every time a calamity happens. similar to what happed with previous Dendro Archon, all memories of the period of the last Samara is wiped from existence. You can see evidence if this being true because of the literature that littered throughout the game. The nature of Irmisul was figured out a long time ago and to preserve the contents of every Samara, the texts of history are hidden in fairy tales. I also believe, memories outside of the samara cycle is considered "forbidden knowledge" which is why the fairy tale exist. To protect knowledge that is as forbidden in the eyes of Irminsul. In addition, if we are on the topic of cycles....when we look at the first cycle "paradise lost", its referencing Eden but its also the event of the first instance of "forbidden knowledge". Think about it, Why was Adam and Eve kicked out of heaven? She ate a forbidden fruit which granted her knowledge (forbidden knowledge...again). Also....its not a coincidence that the one who gave her the fruit was a snake (lucifer). Actually, the term "descender" can also be used in the context of "removed from Heaven". Since Lucifer betrayed God he "descended" from heaven and banished to hell (maybe the abyss in Genshin terms). Which is consistent in Genshin since its heavily implied the first descender was the Primordial one, which is in fact looks like a snake.
what a great theory. I usually contest a lot of them, but this one makes a lot of sense. The third Descender "sustained" the world in the sense that their bones help enforcing the laws of the Heavenly Principles. It also makes sense why the Sinner is there, he is a Bodhisattva, much like Nicole, probably, and helps people break the Cycle of Samsara
I really found it strange how honkais latest story seems to parralel teyvat Just and exemple of it / Sa: Cycle Life and death The Saha world/ The Entire story of Genshin is litteraly Breaking free from a samsara and a omniscient yet not omnipotent god wich is covered in honkais story not only that Teyvat now is most likely to be a buuble world Teyvats name is that of a ship and In honkai verse there exist the sea of quanta where those buuble world can exist and they have there own rules that are different from eachother
Also before Scaramouche goes into Irminsul to become the Wanderer, he tells Lumine they have met before. (When he was Kabukimono and she was traveling with Dainsleif, before she became the abyss princess?)😮
I wonder if the only way to stop a samsara in teyvat is to let it happen think about it folcalore knew the prophecy was going to come true no matter how hard she tried because that was Fontaine’s fate but the only way she was able to save and stop it was for her to fulfill it in a sense she fulfilled fate by deceiving it so I wonder if that’s gonna happen in the endgame of Genshin the previous cycles could be what descenders is with the priority one protecting teyvat using the firmament and the second who came sustaining the foundation of the world that being the unknown God, who calls herself the sustainer of heavenly principles meaning that she could possibly be the second descender who helped fight the third as for the third, it’s a possibility that it could be the dragon king, but we also have to know that gnosis translates to heart of God and knowledge so I think the third might be a type being that knowledge beyond this world that caused the Archon war and with the traveler, being the fourth descent and them essentially having a will that could create the world I wonder if when they mean create by actually creating a new foundation of the world I believe teyvat will be engulfed in the abyss and since the archons are major characters in the story of Genshin. I believe that they’ll also have a part to play and creating the world as well even though the seventh sovereigns are the physical embodiments of the elements I also feel as though the Arcon’s best represent the elements through their ideals not to mention the 4 wills descender can have correspondence to how the archons with each gnosis identity matches cryo and geo protect dendro and electro sustain hydro and pyro destroy and Anemo creates since the wind is heavily associated with time it would make sense for Anemo to be creation because time had no beginning nor end and is best represented by the wind I wonder if this does happen that the archons and the traveler will free humanity of the heavenly principles rule fulfilling, the idea of humanity, being free from the gods and the archons possibly sharing or being the new owners the the seventh element authorities and if that happens then the seven archon thrones will be destroyed making the archons free from Celestia’s grasp and the remains of the 3rd descender could be resurrected to be the new ruler of teyvat making the third descender be the god of fate dain does say the throne in the sky is not reserved for us which means that we’re not supposed to ascend to the seat of God and if you actually taken to consideration of the Archons ideals all of them represent humanity freedom, contracts, eternity, wisdom, justice, war, love, fate they all have a correlation with humanity and gods alike gods can give freedom to humans God’s can make deals with them (contracts) gods and humans are forever existing (eternity) gods give wisdom to humans gods render judgement on humanity’s sins humans fight war for or with there god and humans give the prsis and love to gods returning them with protection
Hey very nice video, love that you explained the difference between samsara and time loop right in the beginning. I am currently traveling through long forgotten updates from the past with the power of hindsight, trying to connect old lore. It needs a bit more cooking but i may have found something promising i would love to share but it needs some more time to cook. Right now i am looking to connect to people and watching old videos to see if this theory has been made already. I wish you a Happy New Year keep up the great work !
A happy 2024 everyone. Lets look forward as sharpen our weapons for Natlan. But also the lore coming as we wrap up Fontaine for now. 🎉🌠🎆🎇✨🎊 Happy new year Everybody, happy new year Blue!!!
We will get to Natlan during the year of the dragon, it ought to be good! Fontaine was really good, fingers crossed they will tie the loose ends nicely now. Thank you and a happy new year for you too! All the best!
Possible reason behind the naming of the 'Natlantean' cycle: Natlan is a seemingly Nahua language word meaning 'place of Na', whatever that means. The Aztecs, who were one of the many Nahua peoples of ancient Central America, held a myth that their origin was in a land named Aztlan (notice the -tlan suffix). Some esoterics (or tinfoil hat wearers) maintained that Aztlan = Atlantis, solely because of the similar names. It's possible that in keeping with esoteric (especially Theosophic) thought, Hoyoverse changed Atlantean to Natlantean because of the similarity in name as well. The other Theosophic 'root races' of humanity are Hyperborean, Lemurian, Polarian, and Aryan. Given the problematic connotations of this concept of root races, HYV changed Lemuria into Remuria (Remus + Lemuria) and Aryan into Khraun-Arya (Krauncha + Arya, with Krauncha being a continent in some Hindu traditions that was adopted by Theosophists). P
We also don't know at what point in time we're the travelers caught by the sustainer. We also don't know what she did with them before sending them back to Teyvat.
I'm like 99% sure there is NO timeloop in the game. And this is based on Rene's notes and what he says througout the Narzissenkreuz questline. He says that he knows this is the last loop because the the starbeast will drink the planets amniotic fluids of the planet dry. Basically he predicted the whale coming. But like... why would a space whale slurping up primordial sea be a problem? Just rewind time, right? Except no. If the loops in teyvat are not time based but destruction and recreated (via primordial waters) then...and only then, it would make sense why a cosmic whale slurping up our life giving fluids would end samsaras, since future loops could not begin due to lack of birthwater. Like, if there was a timeloop, that would eliminate any reason for Rene to be so desperate to save everyone in this loop. Just let that higher power rewind time and we are cool right?
If teyvat is in its 4th cycle(I think it’s no.4 I dont remember) I imagine that the characters are at their 3rd constellation by lore then beyond that is their potential, would make sense why a lot of trial character used to be at c3
I think your timeline of events for Fontaine is wrong. Egeria had long since made humans. Remurians were melted into golden ichor, for some sort of ship[ it's been awhile, check fontaine weapon material domain for more information]. It's one of the biggest parts of Remurian lore. The flood had not happened yet and they weren't killed by the flood. They were killed off by the cataclysm and Lochknights. The ship was swallowed by the primordial sea or smthng because they used primordial water to melt remurians[ they as in remus and his soldiers]. Egeria turned Oceanids human long before. She was then imprisoned by Remus, then she told the lochnight Erinnyes that there was nothing that could be done about the prophecy. It's confusing lore but these ARE the order of events. Egeria feels... I don't know? she's an archon that got imprisoned and just let herself be imprisoned. Maybe the guilt of the original sin got to her.
Could you please put your own subtitles? It would help me a lot trying to follow up with what you are explaining. The auto generated subs are not accurate
I added english subtitles! This is my first time adding them, I went over the script to clean it up a bit, but it's possible I made some mistakes along the way since I'm not familiar with the process, if you notice any, please let me know!
Finally, someone explain it to me XD, tho it still has another thing unanswered, but at the very least this video provides really good perspective about Samsara cycle and its loop....
if ur mentioning other games within the hoyoverse u should defo include legend of saha because its lore is really similar to genshins lore with its view on gods and imo is like genshins base/ where the idea for genshin first was proposed
I'm calling it now we go through one reset and learn how to end this, get ambushed like at the very beginning and swap places with our sibling, we then use what we have learnt to end this cycle, many interactions playing out similar with our sibling yet this time we are the one working with the abyss
Thanks so much for this analysis! I read that note from the Ordo and saw no one talking about it until I saw your video! I really wanted a loreseeker POV about this!
I was surprised there weren't a ton of people talking about it too! Maybe they are waiting for the Fontaine wrap up or Natlan since that may give us more information, but I just found it so fascinating I couldn't wait lol. Thank you so much for watching!
Something this video really got me thinking about…if the appearance of a descended is marked by the beginning of a new era or end of an old one, who will the 5th descender be? It’s likely based on the pattern we’ve seen that the 5th descender would be due after the end of the current story line in Genshin. Who will they be? What will they do? Will that function as a continuation of the game after the travelers story is concluded? Idk if there is anything we can speculate about this now but definitely something I’m gonna keep in mind
I am a bit late to the party but I gotta say, thank you SO SO much for mentioning Honkai Impact/Houkai Gakuen 2 into this because something about Genshin sharing similarities and being connected to the HonkaiVerse and the Imaginary tree are some of my favorite theories (I know its confirmed but seeing stuff in-game is much more satisfying than a dev saying "yeah theyre connected lol"). Maybe not it being specifically connected to those 2 games but just Genshin being a part in the IMG tree/SOQ is just a vibe on another level. I just want for the story to end on mentions of the Honkai stuff SO SO badly. I am probably so desperate for this because I love Genshin so much and that I love Honkai as much too, but don’t know as much lore is something that keeps this ASHEYBEGDJDHEHEKEHHE feeling Also sorry that some of the stuff I said sounds super wonky and difficult to understand😭 English not being my first language, being tired and writing this late at night is not a good combo for my brain functionality
We know one cycle started 500 years ago, and that it was Khraun-Arya. Khaenri'ah was the one that kickstarted the cataclysm that would mark the beginning of the this new cycle, so it perfectly lines up!
@@BluesLoreCrumbswhere we know that the current samsara started 500 years ago? Because I don’t remember such thing. I think it was way more longer times ago.
@@gzsofi5 Rukkadhevata claimed that she and Nahida lived in different Samsaras, and Nahida was born 500 years ago during the cataclysm. We also know that Khraun-Arya was already going on shortly after the cataclysm from the Ordo.
An impressive and excellent explanation. Am subscribe especially if you are gonna talk about the newest lore content that the usuals have neglected to talk about.
A slight correction. It's not based on Christianity but rather Gnosticism. In short it's a mix of Wagners The Ring, (which is a grueling 17 hour long 4 part play with a looping story), and Gnostic belief. To summerise the Gnostic belief, the real god of everything had an underling named Sofia, Sofia created the Demiurge and was punished for doing so. The Demiurge created the physical world and became the false god, which would put the Christian god in the seat of the Demiurge, the false god. The Demiurge has 7 Archons that rule over the physical realm, and their job is to prevent humanity from realising their divine spark, that would allow them to ascend and escape the prizon of the physical realm and reach the true spiritual realm of the real God. I'm not going to get into The Ring too much as it's to complex. You can ask ChatGPT and type "summarise Wagner's The Ring" then ask it "can you include Alberich?" (because of course he's involved in the story) and you'll get the jist of it. When you're reading is just consider the ring to be the Loom of Fate. Oh and one more thing, ask ChatGPT to "summarise the first opera on Wagner's The Ring" and do the same for the second, third and forth. The second is especially interesting because it introduces the Twin brother and sister and their roles in the story. Anyway, thank you for the video. Happy new year!
Seeing this now is interesting. The humans breaking free from the gods is just like the simulankans breaking free of their tracks, just like the god of fate intended! Does this mean the primordial one intends for the humans to break free once they're ready? Also the hexenzirkel created the end of the world in simulanka; perhaps it's an analogy for the sea of flowers?
I agree with you about the repetition of timelines, but I also wonder if it is possible Lumine and Aether were both in Khaenri’ah centuries before the cataclysm and the last 500 years. Both the Jester and Dainsleif (who are Khaenri’ahn) lived prior to the cataclysm. Dainsleif was the Twilight Sword, before he became the Boughkeeper and the Jester was a royal Madge. They both lived during king Irminsol’s reign before the cataclysm. Scaramouche tells her brother lived with the Jester before he became head of the Fatui, in King Irminsuls court. Odd.
It's funny how people say that Genshin has nothing to do with Honkai but there are things like that right in front of our faces all the time my understanding of Teyvat is that the planet is in the sea of quanta and that is why the Honkai characters that appear in the game are so different from the originals they were modified by the sea everything is modified by the sea After all, the sea is not exactly a sea of destruction but a sea of constantly modified data
Funny canonicly in the Hoyoverse there is a Charakter how can resett Timelines and can bring death and Rebirth to a World and even more funny this Charakter already appeared in the Games First minutes . Her Name was Kiana Kaslana aka God Kiana . Canoncly She resetted the GGZ universe two times The First Reset happend at the end of the Era Zero Manga this reset begins the Game GGZ or Honkai Gakue 2 there the Retrospektive arc plays out the Second reset happens at the end of the Retrospektive Arc and Begining the Events of the Reborn Arc there at the End Kiana and Mei there able to pull of the Impossible beating and Shattering the Will of the Honkai
Another sign pointing to the fact that Celestia does not have the power to restart Teyvat after the end of the 4th samsara comes from the endings of the Sumeru and Fontaine Archon Quests. Back at the end of the Sumeru Archon Quest, Nahida manages to barter with Il Dottore, despite being weaker than him, by threatening to destroy the Electro gnosis and siccing Celestia's fury on them. This threat is enough to make Dottore back down, showing that at least he believed that would be true. However, what do we see at the end of the Fontaine Archon Quest? Focalors had destroyed her gnosis, without any of the supposed retribution from Celestia. Granted, Neuvilette later rejects the authority he claimed back from the gnosis on Skirk's recommendation (at least that's what I understood), so the gnosis wasn't permanently destroyed, I think? Either that, or he only gives the Hydro-less gnosis to Arlechinno. Either way, Celestia was way more quiet than expected. This shows that they are indeed in a terrible state, not just from their war with the Second Who Came but also due to their later wars with the Third Descender and Khaen'riah. On top of that, the voluntary rejection of gnostic authority by the Archon is further weakening Celestia as Venti or Zhongli (I forgot who) explained to us that the power granted by the gnosis is a two-way exchange between Celestia and the Seven. Please lmk if this makes sense or not lol.
The gnosis wasn't destroyed at all. It was the memories of Focalors that were destroyed along with the throne of hydro archon [The sovereigns power is what makes an archon's throne, which ISNT located in the gnosis]. By this the divinity meant herself. The being you saw, made from the earned godhood of Focalors and her memories, was a manifestation of the throne of archon because it held Neuvillette's powers. The soul of Focalors' resides with Furina because she never "killed" herself. She "killed" the archon throne and her memories. It is true Celestia is in an unresponsive state, however they aren't the ones Focalors wanted to fool. It's the heavenly principles. Those are two different identities. Just like how the SUSTAINER of the heavenly principles isn't the heavenly principles themselves.

I actually think when it comes to Noah's Ark, Genshin is actually referencing the story that inspired that tale in Babylonian mythology with Ea flooding not the whole world, but an area. The events are written on ancient tablets, and the warning given is a play on words with the meaning either being raining cakes or a flood. Who do we know loves cakes? It's not one to one of course, but I think Genshin's story is much more similar to this than Noah's Ark.
what if traveler and the twin already traveling throughout tevyat, and when they met the unknown god, not only her sealed their power but the memories of our chosen traveler... and the only thing that the traveler remember is their encounter with the unknown god... perhaps that is why venti voiceline is very sus.
This just reminds me of another gacha game: Epic Seven. Where the protag you play is a holy avatar of the goddess of creation, with the goal of defeating the demon lord, and every time you fail she expends a great deal of power to remake the world so you can try again. You are the only one with knowledge of this in the world. You're on the 7th attempt as of the start of the game. I see a lot of similarities between Genshin Impact and Epic Seven.
Is it just me, or is this Smsara cycle entirely referencing the Yuga consept in Hinduism? (We're quite literally living in the 4th cycle, the Kali yuga, and there literally is a Archon quest named Kalpa Flame, which is also known as Prayala, the dissolution of the world after 4.32 billion years) You should've seen this in the lens of Hinduism as well.
One question: What did you mean by "every version of the Herrscher of Finality has been some version of Kiana", as far as I know and I have played through the Honkai Impact 3rd's storyline and is also aware of the GGZ storyline. At least in both story, Kiana "obtained" the Finality's power and she wasn't a natural choice. In the end, yes it has always been Kiana because Hoyo loves Kiana, but in terms of story, I don't get that part because Kiana worked to get the Finality's authority. She didn't get it like she was the chosen one, no. A bit of clarification coz I really just did not understand that part lol.
We have seen a total of 5 different Herrschers of Finality theoughout all of Hoyo's stuff. In GGZ Era Zero there was Kiana who became the Herrscher of Finality like any normal Herrscher. In GGZ Retrospective Kiana became the Herrscher of Finality through her stigma being powered up by Sirin's core (all ggz Herrschers work like this). In GGZ Reborn Kiana regains her stigma and the Authority of Finality while being power up by Honkai to become the Herrscher of Finality. In HI3 PE the Herrscher of Finality had the same design as the GGZ one, with most elements of the Kiana design being kept when her corpse was shown. In HI3 CE Kiana became the Herrscher of Finality theough exploiting the Authorities to become the closest thing to it until she just became it. All 5 are explained in their respective games.
@@JKCrafted PE HI3 is not a Kiana, in fact. She is not human, it is a projection of Cocoon itself, and this is why humans were so adamant to not spawn it in Moon Arc - all humans are free from destiny shackles because of Elysia, but Cocoon can do its thing with this body anyway.
@@GolgothianSylex That is not the case. We have no information about what the origin of the PE Herrscher of Finality is. Chapter 34 says that "all Herrschers are but a shadow of Finality" but that is referring to how the Cocoon is the only true Herrscher in HI3 (outside of Seele) and how the others are born from their projections (the Herrscher cores) so are apart of the Cocoon's system and not truly stand alone. The reason they were afraid of a Herrscher of Finality spawning during the Moon stuff is because if one did spawn, they would lose. Even PE couldn't hold off HoFi for long. If the Herrscher was naturally born and they lacked control over it then the world would be reset and 100k years and 2 eras would have done nothing, with the fight starting from scratch again. As for her being a Kiana, we have to rely on the visual similarities (which are one of hoyo's biggest indicators of character version) as no other information exists. The original design was taken directly out of GGZ and even the revised design for the corpse keeps most of the design elements from that earlier design, so while it isn't confirmed that she is a Kiana hoyo wants to show a connection and has kept it as such through all her appearances.

you deflected quite a bit when you talked abt samsara around 15:00 , the four samsaras are not recurring and instead the the four together makes one big samsara as suggested in that ordo's papers... so when you say travelers already traveled to Khaenri’ah in ANOTHER SAMSARA is probably wrong bc they did it in the same one but just at different time. i believe more in the sealing of traveler's memories and powers while seperating them in different time!! bc: 1. traveler's came to tyvat before cataclysm (knowledge of royal families of Khaenri’ah, meet with jester, etc) 2. after cataclysm and travels with dain (meeting with that Alberich guy in sumeru) 3. we as travelers waking up now! so we cant really base our facts on venti's words since we don't even know abt when is he talking abt!!! 1000yrs back? 500 yrs back? 400-100 yrs back??? req - see i don't want to say it but i really have to bc many are trying to make and spread false info - pls don't do half research and do include all info (that's all but know anyway) - even if it is against ur theories - so that at least we know all things!!! 🙏👎 point - 1. breaking things from here and there to stablish facts!! 2. its alr to an extent but when you do it fill up a gap you don't have info abt is really really bad, pls don't do this! 3. see, hiding info is faulting info same,, that's why include all like NOTE if it doesn't fit in! 4. assumptions are good but do mention it as instead of trying to prove it as fact!!! i am telling all this bc of my recent conservation with someone on hoyolab trying to prove x with the same info others were using to prove y! worst of all that person was trying to falsifying everyone to just prove themselves!! worst!!!
Hey! First of all, all of my videos are just theories! I never claim anything to be a fact unless it has been confirmed to be cannon. So I'm not spreading false information or attempting to do so regarding any topic, just giving my speculative two cents. And secondly, we are in agreement! I don't think I came across to you clearly in the video but, I'm not deflecting anything about the samsara. I'm talking about two different concepts all together which is why I made sure to distinguish between them at the very start! Essentially, the four cycles are indeed one samsara only! BUT, since we have cannonically been told that the nature of Teyvat is cyclical, I believe we are experiencing a time loop, just not in the conventional sense where nothing changes between loops. 4 cycles - One samsara Time loop - the samsara, with its fours cycles, gets restarted over and over again with slight changes due to alteration in irminsul. Samsara loop =/= Samsara cycle Does that make sense? I might be misreading your comment, but I believe we reached a similar conclusion. And I do make a point to address any and all counterarguments that I can think of while writing down my theory, even if I don't have an explanation that fits in with theory - those still get added in to the script. That often even makes me come up with alternative theories! A lot of my videos contradict each other for this very reason! I'm not as focused on "being right" as I am on exploring different possibilities. As a writer that's what I really like about storytelling and world building and I like to explore those as a third party when it comes to the work of another. Nothing I "claim" is fact. And I never omit any information at all, if anything of importance is missing its either because I wasn't aware it even existed, completely forgot about it or failed to see the connection. That's happened multiples times! I have no problem with admitting that and I'm always grateful when people point it out to me. Moreover, whenever I go into super speculative territory, I make it a point to state exactly that. There are a LOT of players that skip dialogue and never read the lore only to go claiming things that go against cannon. There's also a lot people that come up with outlandish theories and provide no support or evidence for them. I get that can be annoying! But, regardless, it's a game at the end of the day and I don't think matters all that much. At least I don't take myself that seriously so I don't hold others to that standard either. I only do what I do because I genuinely have fun doing so! I appreciate you taking your time to break down what you didn't like in such a civil manner, truly! Constructive criticism is always welcome! But I don't personally think I'm guilty of falling into any of the pitfalls you mentioned. If you don't like the way I structure my theories and videos, that is totally understandable and valid! But at present I don't really see a problem with it.

This also would tie into how Venti functions as well@@MeryKeit
@@sekiezkoggwait really? woah
I wonder if there's something about the similarity between Hyperborea and Snezhnaya, Natlantean and Natlan, and Remuria and Fontaine; these were the first three samsara's chronologically, but the last three nations we visit chronologically
maybe we're in the sumeru samsara now.
Good point, but how does Inazuma and Enka fit into it? Also isn’t Liue super old?
@@MrManafon in the Sumeru samsara yes which that happening right now but who knows about the others. Maybe even there was no Inazuma and Liyue.
Abyss sibling was living with Jester, not the Traveler.
Besides Venti expressing his knowledge about having met the Traveler before, Dainsleif also mentions his knowledge about the Traveler’s brother/sister. Zhongli also knows the Traveler as well, though the Traveler is not aware of Zhongli prior to meeting him in Liyue.
isnt weird why traveler next destination is pretty much messed up, like from mondstats to liyue... then from liyue to inazuma... and from inazuma to sumeru... from sumeru to fontaine and fontaine to natlan, (natlan said to be set at the west part of sumeru)... and everytime traveler arrive, traveler manage to prevent the catastrophic when it was about to happen after the traveler arrived at each nation EVERY SINGLE TIME
anyway, i cant wait to read these comments again 5-6 years later after the story finished and see which one guessed or theorized correctly
Could it be that the 4 descenders represent the 4 horsemen of Apocalypse in the bible?
Conquest - Phanes/Primordial one
War - 2nd who came
Famine - 3rd descender
Death - Aether/Lumine (MC)
Will the traveler bring death to all? Or will he sacrifice himself by death to save Teyvat?
And teyvat is only the first chapter…
from what i see, teyvat chapter dosnt necessarily mean we leave teyvat one its over, just that weve finished exploring it, an the greater plot unfolds@@Cudeus

honestly i have seen the intro cutscene so many times that I have remembered the phrase pain says "so you say you were about to leave this world" so... it implies our traveller knows they have been here before. it is just they don't talk about it, about anything they know. traveler also knows exactly why they can wield the power of elements without a vision since the very start. what if.. traveler is very well aware of what is going on with this world but didn't expect for their sibling to be trapped? it is not a new theory but a new angle. maybe some of their memories were deleted cause, well, traveler implies heavily that they don't know teyvatian. idk im not a lorist myself. but I also find it interesting to "leave this world" we try to confront sustainer and dainsleif says to save our sibling we need to fight him, what if he is the new sustainer? crack theory but we definitely have a loop and rain is also blond as kevin kaslana and kiana kaslana. idk honestly i have created this piece of thought right now but it sounds to me very interesting
And yes, that would make Paimon their child and she’s the real “Kiana Kaslana” lol
it's so interesting as How in Honkai Impact 3rd newer chapter 42, The Planet called Phosphorus is reset by a flood but only Project Ark remain the same as it's from outside.
Yeah. Notice how there is a "reset" every new cycle? It lines up perfectly.
I actually remember that and thought it stuck out. It felt like such an odd choice of action.

I’d also like to point out that the Sustainer might be the God of Space (God of the Void?)
Genshin’s artifacts system have long hinted that it might actually refer to Phanes and his 4 shining shades:
Flower of Life - the God of Life was the one who created Egeria to replace the former Sovereign of Hydro as the heart of the Primordial Sea
Plume of Death - ???
Sands of Eon - Istaroth, the God of Time is intimately close to Barbatos and Makoto, as well as the people of Enkanomiya
Goblet of Eonothem - although “Eonothem” is a geological term, the original name of this piece in CN and JP can be translated as “Cup of Emptiness” and even “Goblet of the Void” in German (which is where ‘Herrscher’ comes from)
Circlet of Logos - means reason or thought
We know about that already ?
That's because Traveler already met Scaramouche before. Scaramouche never met Abyss sibling.
I think the end of the Khraun-Arya samsara will be at the end of 6.0 patch and then everything will start over in Teyvat
3rd age sins were also the sins commited by Deshret

Crazy that this was posted 4 months ago, it fits perfectly with the new information in 4.6
Possible reason behind the naming of the 'Natlantean' cycle: Natlan is a seemingly Nahua language word meaning 'place of Na', whatever that means.
Just let that higher power rewind time and we are cool right?
i think the quest where traveler looks into the mirror and sees their twin means hoyo could going for some sort of time loop.
24:29 The first charachter added to the game was named something like Kate or Katya Kaslana (This was found in the game code)
this theory is one of the most interesting and well put together ive heard :) very cool job

I'm calling it now we go through one reset and learn how to end this, get ambushed like at the very beginning and swap places with our sibling, we then use what we have learnt to end this cycle, many interactions playing out similar with our sibling yet this time we are the one working with the abyss

Yeah, and Khaenri'ah was under Sumeru too. So it's still making the current samsara the Sumeru samsara.
We know one cycle started 500 years ago, and that it was Khraun-Arya. Khaenri'ah was the one that kickstarted the cataclysm that would mark the beginning of the this new cycle, so it perfectly lines up!

@@gzsofi5 Rukkadhevata claimed that she and Nahida lived in different Samsaras, and Nahida was born 500 years ago during the cataclysm. We also know that Khraun-Arya was already going on shortly after the cataclysm from the Ordo.
@@BluesLoreCrumbs ah, I don’t remember now that little tiny detail now. Thanks. :)
Odd.
It's funny how people say that Genshin has nothing to do with Honkai but there are things like that right in front of our faces all the time
my understanding of Teyvat is that the planet is in the sea of quanta and that is why the Honkai characters that appear in the game are so different from the originals they were modified by the sea everything is modified by the sea
After all, the sea is not exactly a sea of destruction but a sea of constantly modified data
15:10 i assume this is just because it takes place after timeline wise where we learn that
genshin lore and honkai lore, my cup of tea
9 months late BUT SO SO REAL
Funny canonicly in the Hoyoverse there is a Charakter how can resett Timelines and can bring death and Rebirth to a World and even more funny this Charakter already appeared in the Games First minutes . Her Name was Kiana Kaslana aka God Kiana . Canoncly She resetted the GGZ universe two times
The First Reset happend at the end of the Era Zero Manga this reset begins the Game GGZ or Honkai Gakue 2 there the Retrospektive arc plays out the Second reset happens at the end of the Retrospektive Arc and Begining the Events of the Reborn Arc there at the End Kiana and Mei there able to pull of the Impossible beating and Shattering the Will of the Honkai
1:42 imagine Furina had memories from the previous cycles, 2000 years of suffering :'(

Where will “out of Samsara” in Genshin Universe?
or maybe it’s not about where What Why …etc
maybes it’s like waking up , (like Omniscient Reader POV Novel, spoiler hahahaha, also i forgot the correct novel name hahahaha
so world reset is to make human evolve for what?
egg shell separate from the universe?
teyvat is ark
there is and will be primordial sea
abyss is where?
So for human to reach peak of evolution … to get out of Teyvat , to fight against the creators?!
there are something from what i write here
I actually think when it comes to Noah's Ark, Genshin is actually referencing the story that inspired that tale in Babylonian mythology with Ea flooding not the whole world, but an area. The events are written on ancient tablets, and the warning given is a play on words with the meaning either being raining cakes or a flood. Who do we know loves cakes? It's not one to one of course, but I think Genshin's story is much more similar to this than Noah's Ark.
I wonder how everything will end
So, Programmers and writers can have ability to be able to create worlds
but celeste is that one who always keep to themselves, the one man do all.
Man, why do i lpve lore analysis/theory videos?
what if traveler and the twin already traveling throughout tevyat, and when they met the unknown god, not only her sealed their power but the memories of our chosen traveler... and the only thing that the traveler remember is their encounter with the unknown god... perhaps that is why venti voiceline is very sus.
idk why they making genshin's genre very "family-friendly" but the lore is so heavy that the genre couldnt keep up
12:35 in spanish it says "let me join u on ur TRAVEL again"
its funny how genshin and honkai have similar story
Hold up!!!!! 6.30 what is that Albedo quest? Is that fanmade or have i missed another albedo quest?
@@JKCrafted not Completly true in Era Zero Kiana Became God kiana aka the Heerscher of Finality because she was turned into one by Dr Mei there she was Experiment on by Dr Mei and became the core of The Stigmata system these Experiments drove Kiana into Insanity and Destroyed Earth befor she used the Maschine what was part of Project Stigmata to turn Back time
13:50 i dont understand the sustainer never speaked to them or maybe i dont remember i really dont know if someone can remind me i would be happy
She speaks to them during the opening cutscene! Lumine asks her: "Who are you?". And the sustainer introduces herself and claims that she has to put an end to mankind's arrogation.
@@BluesLoreCrumbs ooohhh thank you❤️
@@Iwantapookie you welcome! ^^
you deflected quite a bit when you talked abt samsara around 15:00 , the four samsaras are not recurring and instead the the four together makes one big samsara as suggested in that ordo's papers... so when you say travelers already traveled to Khaenri’ah in ANOTHER SAMSARA is probably wrong bc they did it in the same one but just at different time.
i believe more in the sealing of traveler's memories and powers while seperating them in different time!! bc:
1. traveler's came to tyvat before cataclysm (knowledge of royal families of Khaenri’ah, meet with jester, etc)
2. after cataclysm and travels with dain (meeting with that Alberich guy in sumeru)
3. we as travelers waking up now!
so we cant really base our facts on venti's words since we don't even know abt when is he talking abt!!!
point - 1. breaking things from here and there to stablish facts!! 2. its alr to an extent but when you do it fill up a gap you don't have info abt is really really bad, pls don't do this! 3. see, hiding info is faulting info same,, that's why include all like NOTE if it doesn't fit in! 4. assumptions are good but do mention it as instead of trying to prove it as fact!!!
i am telling all this bc of my recent conservation with someone on hoyolab trying to prove x with the same info others were using to prove y! worst of all that person was trying to falsifying everyone to just prove themselves!! worst!!!
4 cycles - One samsara
Time loop - the samsara, with its fours cycles, gets restarted over and over again with slight changes due to alteration in irminsul.
Samsara loop =/= Samsara cycle
Does that make sense?
