  • We just picked up the brand new Deuter Kid Comfort Pro for 2019 and love it! Here's a quick review of why we purchased it and the features we love.
    **CORRECTION ON INCLUDED SUNSHADES**
    The only carriers that do NOT come with a sunshade is the Kid Comfort Active and Kid Comfort Active SL. The Pro is the only one with integrated (zips out), but the Kid Comfort does come with a shade and does not need to be purchased separately.
    Enjoy!

    Super helpful, the bit about the integrated sun screen vs the other models was not obvious anywhere else I looked

    We have a Deuter as well. I believe the Kid Comfort. The only thing I do miss are footstraps for a healthy hip position.

      Nice! Neither of my kids could get those to work. They just dangled their feet.

    Great review, that backpack looks really well put together. We're new parents and I've already been looking into backpacks. Did you look at any other bags? The Osprey Poco AG looks pretty nice as well. I look forward to your follow up review if you do one.

      Thanks Kyle! We still really like the pack even after a few more hikes and an overnighter with the little one. We did look into other brands, but literally everyone we spoke to who had tried others always came back to the Deuter as the go to.

      We picked this bag up on sale at rei. Haven't used it yet since our son is only 3 months old but I'm excited to try it out. Did you end up using the backpack holder for a stuff sack? How many litres was it if you did? Thanks again

      We did look at other bags and tried on the Osprey, but literally everyone we know started in an Osprey and preferred the Deuter after switching. We don't have a single regret and will for sure do a followup review!

    Hi there, thanks for the clip.
    What do you think about the osprey poco?
    Take care

    • @EmoryByLand
      @EmoryByLand  2 года назад +1

      I haven’t used it but Osprey does make a good product. At the time we bought this one it was the only one that had a removable head pillow. That might have changed since then though.

      We went backpacking with her at 9 months and I'm pretty sure we had her in the carrier at about 6 or so. She still loves it to this day!
