Next time put the loop not onto the frame but just aside of it to the left. Transposed. And then just slide the loop into the frame until you catch the exact edges of the seat from the Sideview. Mark the position on the tubes at the end of the frame and cut it off. You won't take too much off with this method. The easiest things can be done so easy. And better use long Sleeves while welding. Avoids a skinburn. Cheers mate. Nils
How long is your seat (also tank for comparison)? i think it looks really good and want a similar length. Also can I weld it before I have a seat ready for it and make a custom seat?
I sold the bike a few years ago but don’t think I’d regret it. The upswept hoop adds a bit more style than a flat hoop, and I loved the integrated tail light. This bike was so much fun to ride.
I think I would have tried putting the seat on the frame and marked on the seat where the frame ends with like a pencil or even just some masking tape, then put the seat on the loop how you want it so you can see where to cut? Don’t know if that would work
Subbed just for the CB built. Can’t wait to follow along. Can you provide a parts list as you go? What frame hoop and seat is that and where did you get it? Keep the vids coming.
Great idea! I'll start including that in the description. thanks! i don't have the bike anymore to measure, but would absolutely recommend having the seat before doing the hoop.
3:24 that’s my dream look ! Try to buy frame and tank and import to my country turnout to be a nightmare!
Measure twice, cut once
I'd be interested to know whether you regret adding this hoop on now? After 4 years does it hold up fine?

What tubing did you use? If you said it I didn't sit through the whole thing. I'm thinking of modding a Grom frame in the future ...
regular steel. bought the loop pre-made off ebay.
@@BennyObscene Thanks Benny, really appreciate the input!
Hi, you wouldn't happen to have a pair or rear set brackets that you removed would you? Cheers Scott
