I agree with you on painting the frame with a good quality paint. If you get any scratches later on you can touch them up easily. Great video. Nice watching your progress!
From experience,I’d say a 2pack finish will be a better way forward,I had my kettle frame powder coated & every threaded part needed cleaning & more cleaning to accept nuts,bolts & indicators,looking forward to seeing this building

Got my own cb750 stripped. painted and polished ready for reassembly so watching this with great interest.

Thanks for the tip. I hadn't thought about the threads and things, so another good reason to paint rather than powder coat.
