A car journey on a rain swept Christmas morning, 2013, from Beckenham to Crystal Palace via Penge High Street. Along A234, Beckenham Road, High Street Penge, Crystal Palace Park Road, and Sydenham Hill.
That brought back some nice memories of the 5 years I lived in Penge 👍🏻, I bet it’s changed now.
A trip down memory lane for me Theo. Well done.
This makes me feel a lot better about being virtually incarcerated in my nice warm flat.

Passed my old school at 2:40.
Good old Royston. My children were there from 1996-1999.
@@deanwarde7126 Actually when I was there the building housed Kentwood School for Boys secondary school. I started in 1984 and left in 1985 - I didn't get on very well and started bunking off. It was a bit of a crap school tbh, and from what I've read about it recently (I'm a member of a Facebook group) I was probably better off out of it anyway.
It seems the building has housed several different schools, starting with the grammar school it was originally built for.
One of the most annoying things was that the school closed down about a year or two after I started, and I knew it was closing before I started, because my primary school headmaster came into the class one day and told us that he'd heard on the grapevine that it was closing! So it was a complete waste of time me going there in the first place, and I would have had to move schools anyway! Eventually I ended up at the much nicer Blackheath Bluecoat School, where I was a lot happier.
One thing that sticks in my mind about Kentwood, that I didn't consider at the time, is that the number of pupils must have exceeded the school's capacity, because a number of lessons were held in a bunch of portacabins in school grounds! I'm pretty sure break times were staggered too.
I’m guessing this was filmed in 2004-6 ??
Southwest London looks a lot better than southeast London. Like the area from Putney to Richmond.
Sorry to say but I think south east London is better.
I live in Beckenham
