Just remember, Jerome and the rest of Red Team were still using their original Mark IV armour throughout their battles. Even Master Chief was given upgraded armour, weapons, and tools to fight against the Convenant/Banished over the decades. Red Team still kicked major ass with their original arsenal. Major respect for them and Spirit of Fire.

To those who are disappointed with the spartan IV's.
They are more akin to a modern day soldier in the sense that they are consiting adults, with lives, and freedom.
They werent indoctrinated from childhood.
They have the behavior or a regular soldier/marine. Disciplined when they need to be(for the most part) and bending and breaking rules when there isnt anyone paying attention.
I feel like most people who complain about that have never been in an actual military, because jokes and immaturity like that is 100% something that happens, not everyone is a hardened warrior or a kid soldier, most are just, humans, with lives and personality.
@@gasalpha879 It's a sci-fi setting about religious aliens trying to kill humanity. I wanna see humans who are born and bred to be super weapons and their relationships with others in a bleak setting. People are disappointed in spartan IV's are because they haven't earned anything compared to the former of being cool. We've already seen the spartan III's done to be on par or if not more interesting than the spartan II's.
my issue is more so the immaturity and blatant disregard for safety and protocol. While yes they are adults with impressive careers already BEFORE going through the S-IV program, that doesn't excuse them from ignoring their training and just doing whatever. The jokes are a little annoying sure but eh that's realistic behavior and it isn't over the top; but their conduct to superior officers AND in combat is where I have an issue personally.
These men are supposed to be the best of the best, excluding spartans. They act fcking rtarded
Frankly by this point in the war most of them were raised under martial law and are probably orphans raised by the state from glassed worlds. So they probably should be indoctrinated.

i like how halsey just bluntly answers him, with some barbed words too "first we taught them to be silent, then we taught them to be spartans." last half as she directly looks at palmer, who looks really shocked. i dont think any of them actually know anything about how fucked up it was for the creation of the first batch. they do now.

nah they still dont understand. they didnt get kidnapped at the age of 6 and be forced to grow up knowing nothing but military training and tactics, then augmented in their teen years, had half of their friends die during said augmentation, then do more training on reach before finally being sent out on their first few real missions without their MJOLNIR armor, that was still in development, before the start of the human/covenant war. Spartan IVs dont hold a candle to Spartan IIs because they had the choice of serving, had families to grow up with and friends to chat with during their schooling days that wasnt based on military tactics and training.
Palmer is a scorned second to all spartan men. Still an emotional wahmen.
Ethan Peck, The actor who plays a iteration of our famous Vulcan Spock in Star Trek: Discovery was the voice actor for Spartan Gabriel Thorne in Halo 4 Spartan Ops. They even used Ethan Peck's likeness for Gabriel.
Ethan Peck is also listed on IMDB as voicing Spartan Gabriel Thorne again in Halo 5 Guardians.

Spartan Ops was such a great addition since firefight. Loved the extra story outside of the campaign and books.
Lots of fun to play. My only complaint was that it was too easy in the sense that if you died you respawned without any loss of progress in the mission. I wish it would have reset you to a checkpoint.
@@brandonm4913 It's was also really grindy to "balance" the fact that you could respawn. Should have just followed the regular Halo model.

I believe that the reason fireteam majestic is so immature is because they are meant to be a reflection of the players and how we would be in the halo universe. Just having fun, not really taking anything seriously. We may not like it, but realistically, if we all became Spartans, this is how we’d behave.

It's so hard to believe that the forerunner had so many badass technologies but still can't deal with pest control issues like bed bugs etc.....
the flood was already very powerful by the time they encountered the humans. and they fought the ones already running from a fight because they couldn’t beat them.
if the ones running from a fight they could not beat and could still destroy your ships upon first contact. what hope do you have??

The flood the forerunners "lost" to were unimaginably more powerful than the ones we fought in game, if it weren't for the halo rings basically resetting the flood difficulty the whole galaxy would be under their control

The flood absorbs the knowledge of all of its victims so eventually the flood can build ships as well and creat weapons on par with their enemies the forrunners were basically fighting a fungal form of themselves and could replicate faster then they could which is why they built the rings to stop them also they had so many gravminds and hive creatures above the grave mind which is insane to think about

Meh, its alright so long as you don't use the games as a measuring stick. Though given the state of Halo now when it comes to lore (or the lack of it with Halo Infinite), I'll take the show going in a different direction. Just hope they get rid of most of the writing by committee. The storyline was all over the place trying to establish characters.

@@waferjuice Why do these cutscenes from a 360 era game look more realistic than any of the cutscenes in Infinite? Don’t get me wrong I like the art ‘design’ in infinite. The return to form on armor/weopon/vehicle design was a great move. But the art ‘finish’ on everything in Infinite, even the cutscenes, is just kinda cartoony.

casualties also refers to critical injuries or injuries that take a soldier out of combat. not just deaths.

Well it’s more so the story context. 2’s were kidnapped and shaped from childhood. 4’s are basically normal soldiers/spec ops who are augmented, in other words, they act exactly as someone like that would act lol

They just thought they could wing it and supplant could characters and good storytelling with cheap immature stereotypes of what they thought their consumers thought was ‘cool’, without really understand they had already inherited all that from Bungie in the form of Halo’s existing characters. That in my opinion is a very brief summary of where they went wrong with this trilogy.

@mikeonarock4202 I just rewatched the Forward Unto Dawn live cast movie and that was Halo 4. It's an origin story of Latsky.
I always wish they would make someting like this with Starcraft. It has an unbelievably good backstory, came with the big box in 1998 when i bought it. it was in Finnish too which is super rare.
I love Halo too, and this was a great animation story. Just makes me think Starcraft all the time...

Elite units when doing black ops do not wear rank insignias or any markings that would identify their country of origin MACV-SOG in Vietnam for example:

Literally actually... If we follow real life, literally only one person can hold the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer (Or Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy since Halo 3) at any given time. So for someone to get John's rank, John needs to be promoted beyond Master Chief or get demoted under it.

Idk if this is sarcasm or not so...Fireteam Crimson is you. Those scenes in the first 50 minutes or so, is from Halo 4's "Spartan Ops", cutscenes from the third game mode that replaced firefight. In game, your team, "Crimson", are tasked various objectives that lead up to those scenes. Any scene referring to "Crimson" was what your team did in game.

343 portrayed spartan IV's horribly, and it's sad because in numerous games you can see that they are clearly amazing disciplined spartans. But they will never get that reputation because of how poorly portrayed they were. I hope that they don't do the same with the spartan V's.
Just me or is the female spartan the most blood thirsty of them all, fails to follow orders and so eager to kill, kinda like the covenant in that way. And she got so triggered when she wasnt able to murder a civilian that she knew almost nothing about.
It's the exact opposite, Palmer got orders from authority greater then Lasky (likely ONI), and she likely KNOWS who Halsey is, just not on a personal level.
I like these kind of video's. But any chance you can do one/others without subtitles especially where they're speaking English anyway so I can watch it more like a film?

IF The Halo show wanted to give more personality to the spartans and ver off course of the plot. They should of focused on Spartan 4

good the video is gigantic, very good animations, a complete universe (even if I must have missed the first 60 episodes😂), a little violent and not too strong in the story, a succession of fights without too much logic (may be due to the lack of previous episodes🥶) in fact I did not understand the story
Here is a basic recap. Humans began to explore the Universe, then ran across another race. This was a very violent race (the covenant) that would destroy anything that was different. Along the way, they discovered an even worse race called the spawn that basically was trying to wipe out all life. In the middle of that, they discovered the forerunners, a race of beings that were hugely advance by our standards. They had discovered the spawn and tried to destroy them but failed. As they continued to spread, they came to the conclusion that the only way to save all life was to reset it. Therefore they created the rings, a weapon system capable of wiping out all life in the universe, including their own. They then collected samples of all life except the spawn and activate the rings. It did its job, then a robot group began to spread the life spores back across the universe, resetting life.
Thousands of years later, the human race began to explore and found that the rings had detected the spawn had return and was going to go though another cycle. It was eventually stopped, and the spawn was basically neutralized for a time. This occurred after that battle. A lot of the fighting is over forerunner tech.
You should check out Halo 4: forward unto dawn, which is when humans first discovered the Covenant.
Also, the AI have a lifespan of 7 years, after which they accumulate so much data, they basically go insane. The problem with that is that the people they are assigned to frequently fall in love with them and do not want to lose them. That is why the ship's AI left that message before deleting herself after 7 years.
