  • Unboxing & installation tips of the Hansshow Motorised Tesla Model S Frunk (for the facelift 2016-).
This is a quality product with, unusually, jam sensors in each motor to protect against the twisting of the bonnet/hood in the event of a problem.
I am not being paid to promote this item and have bought it myself. I thoroughly recommend this as a great addition to your Tesla Model S.

You're welcome - glad it helped and hope my British accent was easy to understand! The lifters really change the way we use the frunk now, it's our goto storage spot now (we don't have the motorised boot).

A motorised frunk would make it so much more useful. That and a return to the RWD massive cavernous space unlike the newer AWD cars where you can only fit a harmonica in.

Thank you for this video! So much more useful than the written instructions! Do you know what size spanners/sockets I should have on hand before I start this undertaking? Other than flathead screwdriver, pick, needle nose pliers, and snips, any other tools I should have?
Did they provide enough zip ties, or should I have some more on hand? Thank you!

Hi Ronnie, glad you found it useful.
      I recall I mainly used 10mm and 13mm spanners/sockets.
I did use better quality zip ties/cable ties because the ones sent were very thin and I also had a selection in the garage from my days as an engineer.
I popped you a reply on LinkedIn to you message but replying here too.
Good luck with it, it's straight forward and a mod worth having I'd say.
      Cheers
      Mark

Great video Mark! Might you also have a video for the Hansshow trunk power light install for the Model S?

Thanks. Yes I did one as well. It's in my videos on RUclips. Just have a look at my channel and you'll see it before this one. Cheers.

@@lamaryoung7276 Hi, Sorry just realised I read it as Frunk for the S.
My S has a power tailgate, I thought all Model S's had power tailgate?
I fitted the Model S power frunk and the other video is on that install.
      Sorry for misreading you.
