The puzzles focused heavily on data security, cryptography, and steganography, meaning that people with no programming knowledge wouldn't get very far. In total there were 3 puzzles, the first one having begun in 2012, second in 2013, and third in 2014, all starting on the same day, the 4th of January, however, in 2015 no new puzzle had begun. Many speculate, myself included, that a new puzzle hasn't begun because the 2014 puzzle hasn't been completed to this day. However, after an year of silence, a new clue was posted on Twitter on January 5, 2016. The tweet contained a link to an image whose message was trying to urge people to look into 'Liber Primus' once more. Kristijan Mirkovski i don’t know exactly how but there are hiddens codes and clues in cicada 3301 music The music and sound themself are a code, that is why it’s not in itself a godly good music but imo the code thing is genius.

No there would be a buildup before each note if that were the case. These notes are plucked individually and slowly fade out instead of fading in and then "popping"
