- A level that has been in the works for 1.5 years, that has just been finished. This one of the most fun levels I've played, although it's 7 minutes long, it doesn't feel like it just because of how fun it is. This also meant to played on 60hz to prevent sync issues if you want to record it, the difficulty I'd say is around Insane Demon, so you if you have the skill range you can give this a go. Thanks to Darwin for letting me verify :)

0:02 The first puzzle posted on 4chan's /b/ (random) board as text.
1:26 A website that continued the first puzzle contained the coordinates of where to go for the next step. If you went to those coordinates, you would find a note with a cicada and a QR code.
2:14 The website mentioned before which had coordinates required users to wait for a long period of time before they were revealed.
5:27 The logo used by the Cicada 3301 group.
Also the qr code at 0:32 leads to the decoy image used in the puzzle, and the other smaller one says "CICADA3302"
also at 2:52 there's a pgp signature
The logo was also in the Endscreen, at 7:14.

I can’t tell what’s more impressive. That there’s an actual story to the level, the insane effects of the level, that Darwin had the patience to make this, or that Nexus has the patience to beat it…

Holy crap I thought I’d never see the day where a gd level is based off of cicada 3301. The internet mystery always intrigued me, and this level fits the them so well
Darwin also said he put actual codes in the arg as deco aswell, which is kind of insane attention to detail.

Ive been playing GD for as long as I can remember, and have been a MASSIVE Camellia fan for many years after discovering his music on Beat Saber. To see my favorite music artist appear in an awesome level like this in a game I've grown up on is awesome, and it's made even better since CICADA3302 is from my favorite album of all time, U.U.F.O. by Camellia. Although I dont have the skill to make it anywhere in this level, it's still one of my favorite levels of all time

I've seen this level a while back but I didn't expect to see you play this or even verify this absolute banger. It's also really epic to see that Camellia's songs are also being used for epic levels
Creativity and effects performance into the entire level is on point.
Knowing the level before nexus beats it is a forever wonderful feeling

wow im speechless, the sync, the sync, the sync, the visuals (which while arent decorated i have to say it has a charm to it, kinda like a music video, like so many parts could be part of an album cover (0:27 1:27 2:47 2:57 etc)
damn. can't believe Cicada 3302 is now a GD reference. Anyways, I'm glad someone else still remembers the cryptography mystery (as Cicada 3302 pertains to the mysterious "hiring" of cryptography expert users that were given various crypto puzzles to solve, and whoever got the farthest per round is "hired", but was not since heard of again).

@@deleanor9665 i heard someone say "the jump from stereo madness to subsonic is less than subsonic to tidal wave". Basically the range of extreme demons is so broad that even an insane demon can be considered as average if you consider all those extreme demons

The story and the music of this level is absolutely epic and well made
the fact there is just that nostalgia aspect to this level as well really resonates with me in a way I cannot explain

The deco is immaculate, it's a shame the blocks aren't designed very much

I think many creators puts too
much focus on the block design and not the backround, gameplay and sync. If the level had heavy blockdesign i think it would have been to much. I also think that layouts are more fun to play because you can see where you are going more clearly
It's a 7 minute level, if he focussed too much on block design it would never be finished

When i take a look at this level on GDDL, this level literally has only 10/10 enjoyment ratings which is rather cool to see, makes this level an extreme that you pretty much want to play
