pure life yeah I don't think he talks to her. His mom did an interview when David died and she expressed no interest in seeing him. I want to believe that Iman made herself available to be a motherly figure or that Duncan allowed her to serve in that role. He seems like a great man. David always expressed pride when talking about Duncan.

If only I could meet Duncan so that I may tell him face to face just how much his father David has positively impacted my life since the early 90s when I was still a very young child. I would tell Duncan that not only is his father my #1 favorite singer of all time but he is also my hero someone that I continue to look up to each and every single day as my life goes on.

I wonder whether they tell the presenters in advance who the winner of the award they're presenting is going to be, or if they only find out in that moment. Noel looked a little overcome with emotion for a moment there. As for Duncan, there's nothing that can ever really make the pain of losing a parent easier, but he's right, his father's music really brought a lot of hope to some of us who were feeling marginalized for one reason or another, and what a beautiful legacy that is to pass on.

The 1975 are a good modern band, in my opinion. Faced with all the other crap on the radio these days, these guys have quite an original sound because they produce their records themselves and their lyrical content is that of nothing I've seen in a while :)
Simple 4 chord songs and uninteresting lyrics trying to sound edgy does not equate to being a good modern band, it means a normal modern band.

This is poignant for me not just as a massive Bowie fan but as someone who also lost my dad the same year I became a father.

Love a moon shaped pool as well, but this is the last chance for Bowie to receive a Brit award for a new album so I am happy they chose him.
