Thanks so much for this! Brand new to DCS, was using VR at first but the quality/fps downgrade was too much. Switched to head tracking using the neuralnet tracker, but it was so jittery. This is SO much smoother, solved all my problems!
Hey man, was wondering how did you make the ai track recognise the cam. I'm streaming the image through OBS but it doesn't seem to catch it neither does it when i use raw PS eye with drivers installed (of course).
Thank you for this! This is a game changer compared to using the joystick on my flight stick! I definitely have a lot of tuning to do but man this really enhances the game and now I don't feel the need to get TrackIR so soon! Also that Steam chat notification at 9:03 messed with me haha. I was checking my Steam wondering where the message went lmao.
Great explanation. I've been struggling with this for a long time and just gave up trying to figure it out until I came by this one. Thanks to this it is now working and just needs some adjustments. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for taking the time to produce this content, its really appreciated as i am new to DCS. I downloaded your config and used without making any adjustments, itsreally super sensitive in comparison to what clearly demonstrate in the video. I wondered if there was a setting somewhere that i may have missed in DCS?
just stumbled over this video... I used opentrack without AITrack so far, but it seems with AITrack it works better and is less "jittery"... many thanks for the tutorial!
Thank you for the information, although most of them I managed to find out on my own. What I haven't been able to find, and nobody explains on their video, is how to setup DCS to accept input from Open Track! Hundreds of settings and menus, why everybody think it is so easy? And if it is, why is so hard to add 10 seconds video with the guide?
Difference between Yaw and x is that Yaw reacts to head rotation horizontally, X reacts to moving aside (can be useful in motorbike sims), you can see the difference when disabling everything and leaving only Yaw, then leaving only X
@@aaponiemela6521 How big it is zooming in your DCS. I have setting Z axe - imput 10cm - output 300 cm and zooming in DCS is just few. Zoom with keynoard is much more.
Guys you shouldn't need to do all of this. You don't even need AITrack. Just set your input to "neuralnet Tracker" and choose the correct camera. Output setting is the same and re-map as necessary. Your welcome :)
Just leaving this here in case someone finds this in 2024. You can use opentrack on the computer and FreePIE IMU on a phone to use the accelerometer and magnetometer of the phone to do headtracking, it's more precise than image based. Just use a couple of rubber bands to secure the phone to headphones and you're good.
Has anyone had issues with AITrack crashing windows when you launch DCS? The application runs fine until I launch DCS. Can launch DCS and as soon as AITrack is open it crashes windows.
Any idea why it doesent respond to my Game (Elite Dangerous) It works in theorie, i could make all the settings, and the Squid is moving how i want to. but i somehow cant make it run ingame. 🤔
At about two minutes of flight any usb-connected device to my PC shuts down, including my webcam, and resets. Doesn't happen any other time unless I run AITrack and OpenTrack.
Hi i could missed some details. With it's setting capacity am i able to see my 48inch tv screen if i try full turn back while flying ? Can i adjust this sensivity easily ?
XYZ will change the actual position of your head in the cockpit. For example if you shift your head to the left, your pilots head will be touching the canopy. Z, conversely is for if you lean closer to the camera, it's like zooming into the instrument panels, etc.
Absolutely amazing! Made it work without complications and it's doing a good-ish job with a pretty old webcam so i assume it would be much better with a good webcam :D Also i dont know if anyone had mentioned it but the X Y Z are i think for moving closer and further from the camera and something else along those lines...
Not sure about that. x= left and right. Y is up and down and z is in out or further and closer. Sometimes in 3D z and y will be switched. I think the 3D program Blender is like that. Maybe pitch, roll and yaw settings are general settings and the x,y,z, settings are more precise settings or they could be fine tuning settings for the pitch, roll and yaw. I have some self taught knowledge on 3D graphics but this is a guess on those controls. I have fooled around with both these programs and have never fooled with these controls either. I am 100% sure there is an answer out there if someone wants to take the time to research it. I most likely will research it sometime, but doubtful it will be today!
Hey there, great video. Just one question, perhaps you know: how well does it work with one screen? I imagine turning your head to the other monitor with this is great, but is it all that useful with just one screen?
