that AI track link has NO EXE file!

should the webcam be a 720p, 1080p or above? also the FPS of the camera, does it influence? 30, 60, 90fps? dies it make a difference?

Just leaving this here in case someone finds this in 2024. You can use opentrack on the computer and FreePIE IMU on a phone to use the accelerometer and magnetometer of the phone to do headtracking, it's more precise than image based. Just use a couple of rubber bands to secure the phone to headphones and you're good.

Thank you for this! This is a game changer compared to using the joystick on my flight stick! I definitely have a lot of tuning to do but man this really enhances the game and now I don't feel the need to get TrackIR so soon! Also that Steam chat notification at 9:03 messed with me haha. I was checking my Steam wondering where the message went lmao.

I would recommend for iOS users, move head tracking to phone via face-id tof cameras and provide info to open track via udp. Not so free (I found app for 10euro, but not too much I think). Works very cool and without influence to performance on PC.

Guys you shouldn't need to do all of this. You don't even need AITrack. Just set your input to "neuralnet Tracker" and choose the correct camera. Output setting is the same and re-map as necessary. Your welcome :)

How do you get the webcam tracking windows over the DCS image. I can’t figure out how to open an app without exiting DCS.

Has anyone had issues with AITrack crashing windows when you launch DCS? The application runs fine until I launch DCS. Can launch DCS and as soon as AITrack is open it crashes windows.

Absolutely amazing! Made it work without complications and it's doing a good-ish job with a pretty old webcam so i assume it would be much better with a good webcam :D Also i dont know if anyone had mentioned it but the X Y Z are i think for moving closer and further from the camera and something else along those lines...

There is another Mode in opentrack that works even better! Under input choose "Neuralnet tracker", it's pretty much the same just that it detects movements faster and uses different points on the head to track. Only downside is that it can recognize background stuff as faces, but rather rarely

just stumbled over this video... I used opentrack without AITrack so far, but it seems with AITrack it works better and is less "jittery"... many thanks for the tutorial!

At about two minutes of flight any usb-connected device to my PC shuts down, including my webcam, and resets. Doesn't happen any other time unless I run AITrack and OpenTrack.

Pretty cool. Seems to absolutely hate my glasses. Not a huge issue for me since I only plan to play DCS on flat screen while learning the modules, I have VR for more serious play.
