They reminisced about outdated notions, like the idea that ADHD was just about eating too many sweets or hyperactivity. They acknowledged that while awareness grows, progress can feel frustratingly slow, often feeling like one step forward and twenty steps back.
This is mainly due to dismissive attitudes, such as people trivialising these conditions by referring to them as 'the ADHD bandwagon' or making sweeping statements like 'everyone is a little bit autistic'.
