Yep, that was what I noticed too. A downhaul (also called a Cunningham I believe) would be another way of tightening up the luff. I don't know if the design includes a kicking strap (called a vang in the US I believe) but adding one would prevent the boom kicking up. Nice boat and video so still a thumbs up from me. :)
I used a fine ink marker pen. Even added nail marks. It does very well in rough seas quickly shedding water. The deck was fixed with silicon sealant then screwed down. Thanks for watching.

The boat was built from scratch from plans sold by Bearospace industries.
The luff of the mainsail needs to be more rigid by attaching it to the mast which will allow you to point better

The deck looks great! Did you add planking over the plywood? I like the paint too. Nice boat!
