Maybe because they have a hard time understanding your point? People tend to discard the idea of a problem when they are struggling understanding it in the first place.
Confront them by showing pictures of mouth breathers and maybe pointing out comparable features some family members might share with mouth breathers. Call it shock therapie.
In the end its a good thing you learned about the dangers for yourself and for your future children.

When i was a child i had constant croup so i was never able to breath through my mouth or else i would start coughing. Due to me breathing through my nose i started to naturally raise my tongue to the roof of my mouth. Doing that caused my whole face to reshape. my teeth have always been straight and Ive never had cavities in the 27 years ive been here. I think if i never would have started nose breathing, alot of things would have been different for me probably not for the better

I was mouth breather child because I life in a polluted area and that causes irritation in the nasal cavities and swollen turbinates .
I'd love to see studies about facial development on children with swollen turbinates (and thus who become mouth breathers out of necessity) and those who live in clean areas with undamaged nasal cavilities.

If I remember, Mary Poppins firmly commanded the boy (Michael) to close his mouth (he was staring at his new nanny with his mouth open in astonishment). She said, "Close your mouth, Michael. You are not a fish." Luckily, he complied; if not, his face might have ended up looking like that of a fish.

In school i knew many mouth breathers and many where unattractive and some where super depressed and even would get angry at me being like "that's easy for you too say" when it came to dating and hooking up with girls, this should literally be teached in school I'm serious! I’m in need of some help and maybe you can offer some advice. I’ve been having a mouth breathing issue for the past few years because of my bite. Because of that it has changed my quality of sleep and for a long time now when I wake up I feel extremely tired and suffer from daytime sleepiness. I often wake up while I’m sleeping, sleep apnea is what I think it is mainly because my jaw is misaligned. I understand once I have my surgery and begin the healing process this problem should solve itself but that’s roughly a month from now. I feel that this is taking a toll on me and having the energy and focus to complete everyday tasks is becoming difficult because I am always tired no matter how long I sleep. I need something to help me bridge the time until my surgery date that maybe can improve my sleep. I’ve tried wrapping a shirt around my jaw and head to keep my mouth shut while sleep and taping my mouth but no help. A friend mentioned a CPAP machine to me, I did a lot of research on this but I wasn’t able to find any information on if this could help someone with a misaligned bite. I have become a victim of mouth breathing for so long that my muscle memory to breathe through my nose on a consistent basis seems to be ruined. Is there any specific doctor or sleep specialist I should go see

I realized that I was breathing through my mouth since I caught covid. I have had some sort of sinus inflammation since. I was wondering why my face wasn't looking as nice as it used to. Brushed it off to normal aging. Now 3 years later I am learning to breathe again. Damn, I was not ready for all the nose blowing 😂. My face looks better now, a month in. I can't wait to undo the past 3 years.

This may sound bad or offensive but I'm just curious, most who have the habit of mouth breathing besides having those facial features they also have a 'weird' body type, they all have very skinny legs girls don't have an feminine figure and a wrong back posture very expanded ribcage in mean and even in women and no 'ahem' ass, is this related to mouth breathing? Does this affects the body as well or its just coincidence?

Practice makes perfect. Keep breathing trough your nose and don't pay too much attention to it.

Alexandra Moonlight I used to be a mouth breather. Like five years ago, your face will change, very slowly though. Especially your chin. It's difficult to start right away, you just have to keep reminding yourself that you should stop it. I think face exercises helped me. At least my chin doesn't look weird. It'll take a while, it'll be kind of difficult, but you'll be just fine. I bet no one even notices the symptoms that often.

Hey! I really find all of you videos extremely useful and important (and I really think that you should have and need more views!)
A couple of months ago, I noticed that my chin, in the profile view of my face, looks too far back, and upon doing some research and learning more about the topic, began to notice that many are like me, but also many have their upper lips, chin, and forehead in a vetical line.
I took it upon myself to improve my posture. I looked back at the few videos of me taken just randomly and noticed I walked with my head forward, and it just looked wrong. I have since corrected that, and now I have some questions on oral posture - should the teeth be together? And how exactly should the tongue feel in my mouth? I have huge tonsils and I am genuinely convinced they are part of the reason why my facial features are out of whack.
People have said to me that I look 'older' once or twice, and I suspect that it is due to the already subtle positive changes that are occurring in my facial structure, but I am curious if even at 16 years old there is still hope for me?
    Thanks!
