The first time I rode this ride I was terrified on that part because if the fire is real then in my kid brain "WHAT ELSE IS REAL!?"
For me the plunge into a red fog is what really got me! Mainly because of the airtime I got on that!

This is the only good ride at universal just visited 4 days back and 2 years back also…450 for 3 people and the only thing we enjoy is this ride….way better knotts berry farm and little bit cheaper and plus if you stay in their hotel you get free entry to the park for one day and they sale you the tickets for half price….Disney is better park than Universal
Agreed, it also depends. I favor Universal because I was going Disney for about 10 then tried Universal and it was new and loved it. Disney is still better when it comes to safety tho.
@@nancyhunt9834 There have been over 50 deaths in Disney World alone. I think it was only 1 in Universal and they died outside of Universal’s property.

Cruise sucked, tried to cash in on an already great franchise. It was about money, not the movie.
When the cart started moving backward I swear to god. Almost made me piss myself and got absolutely startled. My dad has a good laugh about it after the ride. Absolutely loved the ride!

I have a kind of relatable story so I went on this ride with my mom and my dad and it was like my first time riding it was about seven I’m actually pretty tall so I was tall enough for the ride and I was like really thinking it was the end and I was like that was a good ride and my mom and dad just start laughing because they’ve been on it multiple times and I was like what and then as soon as we just zoom forward I go nuts but also we started going backwards I’m like mom is it supposed to happen and they were just laughing at me but by far one of my favorite rides
My dad literally just sits still expressionless lmao. On the Guardians of the Galaxy ride drop in disney, his photo on the ride as him so expressionless XD.

this goes out to anyone whos scared of rollercoasters , as someone who gets panic attacks because of coasters , i actually really really like this one!!!! its super fun, no stomach feeling, and ur super secure, plus theres no big drop! i strongly recommend this coaster if coasters terrify you

The Imhotep animatronic seen near the beginning of the ride has full ability to make fluid human-like movements but Universal purposely made it more jittery so riders would know it was an animatronic and wouldn't confuse it for a person in a costume. Interesting choice.

This sounds pretty silly. Isn't that the point of immersion? Doesn't an animatronic go to waste like that? Wouldn't you actually want people to think it's a person in costume (or better yet, a real mummy). You got any sources? I'm curious

Revolution Yeah, that would make more sense to make it look more fluid. Funny how Disney wants to add more fluidity to their animatronics, but Universal thinks that’s a terrible idea.
That seems like a weird idea though, wouldn’t they want it to look more fluid and more like a real person?
The fact that I’m getting the chills and the jumpy stomach I usually get in line for a roller coaster instead while just watching this video is amazing

How bad are the drops like what would you compare it to because I can barely see anything it this vid?
@@natalierangel1317 the highest drop is only 40 feet, but it isn’t too steep, but if you are a coward it isn’t for the faint of heart, but it’s probably like a 6 compared to Rip Ride and The Hulk

@@efczert6460 Yo how scary would you consider this ride in comparison of other rides? I'm going to Orlando in a bit and this is the only "thrill ride" I really went on. I felt mediocre about this ride the first time I rode it, I would ride it again if my group wanted to, but not eagerly to ride alone. I want to ride more rides like ToT but am I bit freaked out by it.

As someone with a huge fear of roller coasters (I still refuse to ride upside down ones), I'm really glad I worked up the courage to ride this one the last time I was at Universal. The "Your souls are MINE!" right before that first drop is so memorable lol.

@@rainwater836 It’s not that bad, I don’t remember it feeling very steep at all.
@@rainwater836 There are two drops, one is backwards and is roughly 10 feet, the other is 39 feet, but it curves so it doesnt feel very big.

Went on this ride at least 4 or 5 times on my last trip to Universal. The "OR REFUSE" part where the huge statues popped up STILL scared me. This ride will never get old.

This is by far my favorite rollercoaster in the entire world. The theming is just so perfect. Even though that the coaster itself is not the most intense, the narrative and atmosphere and theming allows it to be heightened to another level! it's just a complete whole and I wished more rollercoasters were created in this way outside of Universal Studios' and Disney's parks.

I went on this ride on Thursday and ended up getting stuck on the part when you spin around before you shoot off. They ended up having to come get me, and they had turned the lights on so I was able to walk under the track for the roller coaster part. It was super cool, and fun fact: a bunch of "bikes" from ET are stored on the floor of the warehouse, underneath all the track! It was honestly the one time I was excited about getting stuck on a ride lol.

I got stuck on hagrids motorbike adventure in IOA IT WAS AO FUN
This was honestly SHOCKINGLY impressive! Don’t get me wrong, I never expected it to be bad, but this exceeded my expectations by miles. I’m not even a fan of the Mummy franchise, but this ride was an absolute blast and a half! Easily in my top 3 rides in the park imo.

Bro this is one of my favorite rides at Universal Studios as well! It's a hard decision for me with this ride, Rip Ride Rockit, Escape from Gringotts, and the Transformers ride! These ones are my top favorite at Universal Studios!

This ride has to be one of my all time favorites. The use of pyrotechnics makes the ride feel more immersive. Im glad that when they refurbished the ride they kept the the Brendan Frasier coffee scene aswell

As someone who hates roller coasters, this one is intense, but goes so fast your mind can’t really even comprehend what’s happening!! My biggest fear is that drop feeling in your stomach and you only feel it slightly on the 2 drops on this ride. I’ve been on this ride multiple times and have never left it disappointed! The only disappointment was that I let my fear stop me from enjoying the ride!😆 If anyone reading has been on Rockin Roller Coaster, I would compare it to that. But Rockin Roller Coaster is rougher. The Mummy is smooth and doesn’t bang you around.

Yup! I love both rides, but Mummy takes the cake. So I prefer the change. Just wish they could’ve put it somewhere else. Kong was one of my fav rides. 😭

Me and a friend of mine rode this 28 times in a row using the single rider line. We were kids at summer camp without a worry in world. This ride brings back so much memories.

@@ThemeParkGroupie dude it was literally the best day of our lives. We could’ve done way more, but we left at about 4pm.
Best part about this ride is how different it is from the others in the main theme park and how off guard it probably catches some people. With the exception of like one drop in the Gringrotts ride there isn't any ride indoor ride as intense as this and people probably came in there originally thinking it was going to be another one of those "tour" rides until Imhotep exclaims "YOUR SOULS ARE MINE"

I remember how terrified I was when I rode this ride, I cried when it finished. I think I was probably 8 when I rode this. Now just watching a video of it still has me nervous because I only rode it once in my life, but I'm still wanting to ride it again.

As someone who went there and rode every ride in Universal Orlando. This ride goes so much faster than it seems on the video. I know its really hard to see in this video but irl you can see so much like jump scares, things all in your face, fire (You can feel the heat!).. Its insane and if you ever go to universal you have to ride it!!

They don’t allow you to take your belt off, there is restraints and you can’t take them off after you finish the ride, I’ve been there and it was absolutely crazy lol

Was so scared to ride this as a kid, freaked out all through the queue but ended up LOVING the ride. Ran back through the park to ride it one more time before the park closed. Those were good times. Hope I can ride it again someday soon.

The fact that this ride remains beloved to the public and is still around despite the movies being pretty old now and (for lack of better terms) "irrelevant" in modern times means so much to me. Everytime we make a family trip to Orlando FL themed Parks Disney and universal studios, we always put this attraction on our list. This ride is a lot of fun. I'm not a fan of rollercoaster and heights, but the ones that are indoors like this i like it more , cause I think in my opinion I feel more safe and is closer to the floor. Everytime I went to this attraction I always get a little scared but at the same i enjoy it so much, i like so much. 100% recommended for the ones that are going to Orlando FL themed Parks.

I have never liked roller-coasters but on a trip to LA my coworkers wanted to go to Universal. They were surprised it was mostly 4D and I was relieved. We rode the Mummy attraction twice. I have visited Universal Orlando as well and rode this like 3 times😅. Its so simple yet such a perfect ride for people like me who aren't fan of bigger roller-coaster

I went on a “behind the scenes” tour of this ride and our guide told us Brendan wanted to add something in of his own at 5:16 but the director of the shot wouldn’t let him so when he screams you can hear him say “that feels good” and he denies to this day he said anything during that part

Me and my mom went on his ride, and we got stuck at the beginning part where is spins to sync you with the track, it was pitch black and dead silent for about 7 minutes then out of nowhere the ride just goes “YOUR SOULS ARE MINE” and we shot off. It was the coolest experience I’ve ever had on the mummy. Truly once in a life time.

Wow I love this Ben! At home recovering from Covid19 this gave me something to really enjoy! I have always loved the Mummy movies - all of them. This ride is fantastic! Also I think I would max out my credit card in that amazing gift shop! WOW! Thanks for this!

I rode this for the first time in September of 2023 and my heart almost fell out of my chest when you went backwards. I didn't know what to expect at all, and had never seen any footage of the ride before so everything was a first time experience and It's amazing. I'm just glad it didn't invert otherwise I think I would've actually passed out.

The first time I went on this, I thought it was like a tiny roller coaster that was mostly a simulation, and I was unpleasantly surprised when the ride actually started... It was so terrifying I kept my eyes closed the whole time (not that I could see much anyway) and I think I passed out at one point. It was so scary but I ended up going on the ride like 3 more times lol

That happened to me in LA. The slow part I was taking pictures. Imagine when the roller coaster began, the struggle to keep the camera in my hand...
This is one of my favorite rides, in my opinion they balanced everything so well and made it want me to ride it over and over again

as a kid who grew up with motion sickness troubles and a heart condition, i went on this ride for the first time and finished like a champ, BAWLING my eyes out in happiness because damn i loved the feeling, and ironically i didn’t survive rock n roller coaster at disney. but now as an adult, any coaster is a death wish. i’m glad these videos exist. thank you 🙏🏼

Also at 3:30 when you see the bugs on the screen come down, the project hologram bugs down on your lap and on the roller coaster also wish some sort of fan that blows a breeze across your lap that makes it feel like these holographic bugs are crawling on you. It feels really cool I imagine that's why you also hear someone scream there

My favorite ride at universal! This POV is a bit strange though because every thing seems to be delayed. Also, at 4:30 you can usually see the silhouette of the girl speaking before Imhotep breaks the glass.

That's a good ride . Probably 1 of the best at Universal . This video doesn't do it justice . When the room catches on fire . The Mummy blows on you , and you spin backward an d twist and go upside down in the dark . But it's funner than it sounds .
