Velocicoaster is my favorite too because I love the thrill and I only ever wait tops an hour. I tried to ride hagrid at a 75 min wait and ended up waiting an hour and 40 mins, the line would not move at all. Hagrid is beyond incredible but that wait just makes it so hard for me to want to ride it
It was crazy, got to IOA at rope drop and every single person SPRINTED to Hagrid, next thing you knew 120 min wait before the park even opened and I got to ride Velocicoaster back to back 😆
As a total beginner, revenge of the mummy was so cool. Before I went to universal last month, the last time I'd been to a theme park was over 10 years ago. My nephews first took me to the minions ride which I actually found a bit scary 😂 and directly after that it was straight to revenge of the mummy. I was TERRIFIED. When I got off I swore I'd never get on it again. And yet I rode it all 4 days I went to the park, because I loved it so much. I even walked between parks because I wanted to get on it so bad it didn't matter I was exhausted. I got a cat plushie from the gift shop to remember it. This is my love letter to revenge of the mummy ❤
One of my favorite rides all time. Such a cool queue and theme. And a genuinely scary ride too. I went with my girlfriend and brother last June/July and was so sad to see it closed
I rode Pteradon Flyers at a private event once, and it was surprisingly terrifying. It goes a lot faster than it looks, and you swing out a bit! I'm glad I had the chance to ride it, and I'd love to do it again now that I know what to expect :D
The cast members of my pre show on Supercharged were so utterly done with it and didn't even respond. The first one we spoke with seemed depressed as hell. I will never forget him
I prefer Velocicoaster. Hagrids is an incredible ride, but that's all it is, a normal rollercoaster, but significantly better. However, the lap restraints on velocicoaster give it an extra feeling that nothing I've ever experienced before can match. Every turn throws you in ways that no other ride can as your entire upper body is free to move. It's partially why I like space mountain, its absolutely terrifying. The roughness and low over head track gives me a feeling I can only describe as fear, and it gives it a feeling that no other rollercoaster can give me.
I remember riding hagrids for the first time, and the drop caught me soo off guard. It was an amazing ride with the launches, theming, and backward section.
I will say that the Jimmy Fallon ride isn't very good but it's "never having a line" is probably attributed to the really great way they structure the line / queuing process. After being on my feet all day I vividly remember LOVING this line's queuing system solely because of the ample seating available while you wait during the weird little pre-shows / virtual gaming tables. Again, the "ride" is barely that, but the parkgoer line experience with the card/color system they use for this line SLAPS and I wish they did it for more rides.
I always stay in theme parks from rope drop until it closes and Islands of Adventures is no different. During the last 50 minutes of Islands of Adventure being open, I managed to ride VelociCoaster and Hagrid's. Running from Jurassic Park to Hagrid's with only 4 minutes remaining until the park closed was definitely worth it. I got to experience those rides during the daytime and nighttime, and I regret absolutely nothing.
Kings Island in Ohio already has a coaster that would be almost exactly what you would want in a Fast and Furious coaster. Originally themed to "The Italian Job" (a Paramount discount version of Fast and Furious) it has the car chase elements and even a vehicle catching on fire.
Italian job is no way a discount version of fast and furious. Such a dick head maybe watch the movie first and you will see 1. Never even close to be a fast and furious movie and 2. Its a brilliant movie unlike the fast and furious franchise
Uh did this guy really just call it a discount fast and furious? Italian job came way before, is wayyyy better, and not to mention it’s not the same thing at all
your opinion of rip ride rockit is absolutely spot on. It is a great ride to experience once or twice while visiting the resort but is nothing to write home about.
Hagrid’s is my favorite ride of all time. I’m SO scared of roller coasters and this particular ride got me to take a step in that fear. And I’m so glad I did. Every time I’m at the park, I look forward to the coaster more than any other attraction. Not to mention Harry Potter world is one of my all time favorite places ever.
YES!!! I’m absolutely TERRIFIED of roller coasters, but Hagrids has my entire heart!! I was super scared to ride this the first time but after I rode it- instantly I was hooked. Not sure if I’d ride any other big rollercoaster (like the Hulk) but at least I know I can handle one “big” coaster 😂😂
On my first ride on Hagrids the ride broke down right after my wife and I had dropped down. We were so scared the next car was gonna drop down on us lol
Although The Hulk Coaster is a lil slow for me now that I’ve been on other coasters, it’s undeniably a classic at the park. It wouldn’t be the same without it.
I remember the period between the closure of Dueling Dragons and the opening of Hagrids. Hulk was the only true coaster there, and I was addicted to it.
I almost completely agree with this list, especially the part about Hagrid’s ride. The only bad thing I have to say about it is the wait time is super long
The worst part about The Hogwarts Express Hogsmead Station is when you get off in Universal Studios, you do go immediately into Diagon Alley. You leave the station and see Krustyland. Kills the immersion. Much better in the opposite direction. Getting off in Hogsmead and see Hogwarts Castle and Haggrid’s is so much better.
I used to really love Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls, finding the mix of thrilling drops and legitimately funny theming a great mix, until they split the logs into individual seats with safety bars and as a big guy I can barely get in and out of it.
What I like about the parks is they have a tester outside for every ride, unlike Disney where you just waste your time waiting in line for a ride you can't get on. At least you know where you stand at Universal.
I'll never forget one year my grandma took me to universal, and I made it my duty to ride rip saw falls 20 times in one day. I somehow managed it by going as a single rider. I haven't been in years, but I still think back to that so fondly. I was happy to see you put it so high on the list, I definitely think it's a bit of a sleeper hit. It will always be my personal favorite because of that trip, I still have most of the script memorized to this day, I don't think I can ever forget it.
I was going to say I didn't understand Hagrid's being at #1, but then I realized my opinion of it is probably tainted by how long I had to wait to get on it and how often it has technical issues. By itself, when everything goes right, it really is an amazing experience you can't get anywhere else. That said, Velocicoaster felt much more worth the wait that I had to get through to go on it. Hopefully the next time I go I can get a less biased view of both, as well as Escape from Gringotts which was barely functioning the only time I went on it.
If I were universal brass, I would lean on Spielberg a little to maybe fork up a little bit of money to give ET a good refurbish, upgrade and refresh. Tell him if you want to keep the attraction in our park. More than welcome but you have deep pockets and this attraction needs some love. Same goes for MIB. Thanks for the video.
I went to universal in December, I just want to say that, Revenge of the Mummy has opened up but it breaks down so often sometimes there are 6 delays IN A DAY its super annoying, but despite that it is fun.
Some of the funniest memories I have at Universal was watching other people get absolutely drenched on the barge ride, then immediately getting soaked myself. Everybody goes into it so unassuming, while I just sit there waiting to see who gets hit by the giant wave that happens during the rapids section, or the dang firehose worth of water coming from that one canon.
It feels weird hearing someone talk about how getting theme park rights to Harry Potter was super important and would get you tons of popularity considering Harry Potter's current reputation.
Hey, nice list but I think will be even better if you use a table for the rankings such a Tiermaker, so we can all see the ranking in a graphical way or table while you are listing the rides one by one. Cheers
Very solid list overall and well done. Definitely loveee Hagrids best ride ever, and it’s as you stated the perfect thrill level, so many more people can enjoy it, that don’t do coasters like VelociCoaster. Mummy also one of the best rides ever
in my opinion, revenge of the mummy scared me so mf much, ive never really have been on a real ride in general so thats probably why this ride scares me so much
Never in my life have i gotten more sick than I have after the simpsons ride. So glad my parents got to bring me to universal when i was younger so i got to experience Jaws, Twister, earthquake, back to the future... Back then it was so much better with less of all their 3D video/motion movie rides. Jaws might have looked so bad and fake but the cast members making it fun trumps any moving projector rides.
I know how to fix The Fast and Furious ride. Have a dark ride section with props of the cars and video clips of the movies playing with sound effects. Then the coaster stops the lights dim and then you get shot out of the building at fast speeds do a couple of inversions and then back to the station. That’s all the ride really has to be.
I worked at Disney World back in 1999. I went to Universal, and it has definitely changed a lot since then. I'd love to visit Disney and see how much has changed since I worked there. Before I quit Disney, they had just completed the Rockin Rollercoaster which I really enjoyed. The tower of terror was another one of my favorites. I used to go into work early just to go on all of the rides and to try the new rides.
I have a soft spot for Race through New York and is one of my favorite rides since it was my first exposure to the tonight show, but I can understand why it’s so low. The queue is really cool though.
I honestly hated Forbidden Journey just because of the fact that while we were riding it they had technical difficulties and of course it had to stop while we were hanging upside down. Definitely felt like I was gonna die until they were able to fix it.
I haven’t been since 2015, so I’m planning a mammoth 8 or 9 day trip for 2025 when Epic Universe opens, but man this video made me want to go back before then so bad. It says a lot that the two best rides are also the two most recent, which bodes well for Epic Universe. I’ve been following the construction of EU closely and it really seems like they are sparing no expense. It’ll be very interesting to see what this list looks like when that opens. All told, the 2020s look to be absolutely dominated by Universal over Disney.
my top 5 at universal as a guy who hates roller coasters is: 1. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man 2. Transformers: The Ride 3D 3. Jurassic Park River Adventure 4. Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges 5. The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride hate it or love it, i'm just too scared to try any big roller coaster.
i used to hate roller coasters but one day i just forced myself on to rip ride rocket and yes i did have an anxiety attack the entire time in line and going up but it was amazing and ever since i’ve loved roller coasters i still get nervous to go on them but that’s part of the fun so just try it and force yourself out of your comfort zone
The dr seuss train ride is the worst ride there imo, i waited 1 hour for that ride. Wish i never waited. Boring and slow. But spider man and transformers are great
@@destroyvalentine true, but the view on the dr dooms fearfall is awesome. I went on it a few days ago with my brother and i was admiring the view while my brother was screaming for dear life
Hagrids is always more than 60 minutes long for the wait times. It’s sad that Hagrids doesn’t accept express pass. This is what makes Velocicoaster my favorite. Velocicoaster is a BEAST.
As a former Florida resident I gotta say you didn't miss much on the back to the future ride. Setting aside nostalgia it is a low tier sim ride. The upgrade is better in every way, but it's still a sim...son!
I think the list is pretty ok I think universal is amazing having rides for all people of all ages and it’s not like six flags or bush gardens just having roller coasters
Hey, everyone! Just wanted to let new viewers know that I'm currently working on a video ranking every ride at Walt Disney World, which should release this summer! It's going to be nearly double the amount of rides in this video, so be sure to subscribe so you don't miss it. Either way, thanks for tuning in!
My dad wanted to really go on hagrid in our 2 week stay there, which ended today sadly 😥. I'm really gonna miss it because apparently that's the last time I go until ik older. Anyway, when I saw the ride time, I swear it said 200-300 mins... Insane!! We went on the ride twice though, so we were all happy.
I agree with you on all but I would have to switch the top 2, Hagrids is great themed but since it's always shut down now I can only put it at number 2, Velocicoaster is just, to me, superior in operations, durability and thrills!! But your list is spot on every where else
I love Minion Mayhem and I think it is because of my daughter. My daughter loved the minion mayhem ride, and seeing her laugh hysterically on the ride moves it into a top 10 ride for me.
Last time I went to universal was my first time ever going on Hagrid’s Motorbike ride. I had no idea what it was or what happened. Best time of my life
For a park with so many screen-based rides, I sure hope Universal intends to overhaul all those screens to 4K quality. Even a ride as fabulous as Forbidden Journey is negatively affected by dull looking screens. The screens in Spider-Man manage somehow to look sharper than on Forbidden Journey. And don’t get me started with Simpsons. That’s ground zero for dull and blurry screens.
Here’s a tip! If you want to go on forbidden journey but you don’t want to wait 20 minutes, go in the single rider line. There’s always like 4 people max in that line, so you’ll get on the ride pretty quickly. My record is 13 times in a row!
@kallijean5885, oops, lol 😂. I wish Hershey Park had those family air dryers. I sort of got soaked on Tiny Timbers, fun and cute water ride. I know Tiny Timbers is for little kids but I rode it anyway with my friends 😃.
Fun fact about the Poseidon walk through ride, the trident is actually the same one from the shop, I remember because I got to hold it since the cast member noticed I had the birthday badge lol.
I was lucky enough to ride on peteranadon flyers, as I was still young enough and I was with my father in the parks. I believe around the time skull island was being constructed. From what I remember, it was a very peaceful and nice when we were up there. The swinging from side-to-side was neat, and it makes it more speedy and akin to “flying” than the ski-lift style attractions from my local fair. It was cool seeing jurassic park from above, as velocicoaster hadn’t been built. I think we even got to see the kong building being constructed, but I don’t really remember. Overall, it was a neat ride. Not the most thrilling or interesting ride in the park by a long shot, but it was a nice place to chill out for a bit after the hot sun. (Also, for the record, Mythos was still SO UNDERRATED back then. We would go in the cool air-conditioned building and get served an incredible dish and we’d be the only ones in there. Also R.I.P Poseidons fury)
Went through fast an furious ride for the first time and I have to say the best part was that I was one of the last groups and the ride/wait people knew the prerecorded dialog so well that they could make jokes around it
16:41 I'd like to point out that there were signs on Pop-Eyes that say "Warning you may get a bit wet" or something to that extent BIGGEST MISLEADING SIGN I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED ON A RIDE
I went on Popeye and Bluto's in December (it was 30 degrees) not knowing what the ride was, and the experience after was the most miserable I've ever been.
Most underrated RUclipsr of all time as someone who went tho the resort 2 weeks ago this is valid I might rank Jimmy Fallon a bit higher but I grew up watching some of his skits and loved the theme It could be more thrilling though overall 100/10 tearlist
I was waiting for you to put revenge of the mummy! That’s always been my favorite ride ever and the second they take it out I’ll stop setting foot there

Velocicoaster is my favorite too because I love the thrill and I only ever wait tops an hour. I tried to ride hagrid at a 75 min wait and ended up waiting an hour and 40 mins, the line would not move at all. Hagrid is beyond incredible but that wait just makes it so hard for me to want to ride it
It was crazy, got to IOA at rope drop and every single person SPRINTED to Hagrid, next thing you knew 120 min wait before the park even opened and I got to ride Velocicoaster back to back 😆
I LOVE volocicoster to! I didn't like hagrid though:(
Velocicoaster is awesome, but also the most insane ride I've ever been on. At 6'7" and 300 lbs I've never experienced that much hangtime on any ride.
Hagrid is an over hyped kiddie coaster, duleing dragons was better.
As a cast member at Fast and Furious, I can in fact confirm that we’re in on the joke. We all know just how terrible this ride is 💀
Lol, awesome. You guys make the ride, thanks for being there!
@@hellomerio thanks so much man. It’s so much fun!

@@EpicDude589he's talking about the ride, not the movie

I rode Pteradon Flyers at a private event once, and it was surprisingly terrifying. It goes a lot faster than it looks, and you swing out a bit! I'm glad I had the chance to ride it, and I'd love to do it again now that I know what to expect :D
The cast members of my pre show on Supercharged were so utterly done with it and didn't even respond. The first one we spoke with seemed depressed as hell. I will never forget him
I don’t blame them, it’s so bad 😂 it was only meant for the studio tour at Hollywood, not its own ride
Roller coasters + Donkey Kong Country Returns music? We are best friends now.
Those rides are just meant to be done in the night. They drip with atmosphere
I'm trying to do this when I go on Friday but I'm so worried its going to be too busy. Luckily the sun sets earlier now haha.
ok weirdo
I TOTALLY AGGRE! Dudley is the best water ride! I'm going to universal in a couple of weeks so it was nice watching this video
I prefer Popeyes in my opinion
dudley is amazing, i'm going to universal in 10 days!!
Kings Island in Ohio already has a coaster that would be almost exactly what you would want in a Fast and Furious coaster. Originally themed to "The Italian Job" (a Paramount discount version of Fast and Furious) it has the car chase elements and even a vehicle catching on fire.
That ride is so awesome. It’d be a perfect fast coaster
Italian job came waaay before fast and furious and is not at all the same 😭
Italian job is no way a discount version of fast and furious. Such a dick head maybe watch the movie first and you will see 1. Never even close to be a fast and furious movie and 2. Its a brilliant movie unlike the fast and furious franchise
Italian job is S tier as a movie
@@peytoncottingham2035 exactly. it’s probably the most intense roller coaster I’m willing to do but it is AWESOME.
On my first ride on Hagrids the ride broke down right after my wife and I had dropped down. We were so scared the next car was gonna drop down on us lol
Same! I think that's a funny part to shut down on, almost seems intentional 😂
@@GentlemanofLight it was terrifying for the good 3-5 mins we sat there, just expecting to get crushed to death at any moment lmao
@73aguilera Yes exactly and then out of nowhere we just take off, my friend on the motorbike was jolted as he grasped for the handlebars! Lol
RACE THROUGH NEW YORK DONE DIRTY
Although The Hulk Coaster is a lil slow for me now that I’ve been on other coasters, it’s undeniably a classic at the park. It wouldn’t be the same without it.
I remember the period between the closure of Dueling Dragons and the opening of Hagrids. Hulk was the only true coaster there, and I was addicted to it.
67 mph is "a lil slow" for you? Jesus.
@@redpillthinking6043 yes, it's a "a lil slow" for me and what about it? Rip ride rockit and VelociCoaster are way faster.
This was my first upside down rollercoasert at 10 year old
@@jayce3839 velociraptor at its fastest point is 70 mph
I’d put Pteranodon flyers at the bottom for simply being an agist ride.
I almost completely agree with this list, especially the part about Hagrid’s ride. The only bad thing I have to say about it is the wait time is super long
“Hagrids’s has the longest name in the park”
High in the Sky Suess Trolley Train Ride: 😢
Me and some friends got stuck in cat in that for about 13 minutes. It certainly made it memorable for me
I rode hagrids at night time blind with no preconceived notions of what the ride was going to be, I swear the best ride I’ve ever been on
The worst part about The Hogwarts Express Hogsmead Station is when you get off in Universal Studios, you do go immediately into Diagon Alley.
Same here man I still had fun riding it though
What I like about the parks is they have a tester outside for every ride, unlike Disney where you just waste your time waiting in line for a ride you can't get on. At least you know where you stand at Universal.
There are testers at some Disney rides. Tron and Avatar have testers
E.T at 15 is insane. Should be at least top 5

Hopefully the next time I go I can get a less biased view of both, as well as Escape from Gringotts which was barely functioning the only time I went on it.
jimmy fallow is kinda cool, i mean i know it isnt amazing but on a full day its a good time killer
I went to universal in December, I just want to say that, Revenge of the Mummy has opened up but it breaks
down so often sometimes there are 6 delays IN A DAY its super annoying, but despite that it is fun.
I mean they are based on the original movie franchise which is considered to be amazing and is a huge part of so many peoples childhoods.
Hey, nice list but I think will be even better if you use a table for the rankings such a Tiermaker, so we can all see the ranking in a graphical way or table while you are listing the rides one by one. Cheers
I'll consider it in the future!
Very solid list overall and well done. Definitely loveee Hagrids best ride ever, and it’s as you stated the perfect thrill level, so many more people can enjoy it, that don’t do coasters like VelociCoaster. Mummy also one of the best rides ever
I agree a lot except you ranked hulk way too low, it is no doubt top 5 and for me top 3
in my opinion, revenge of the mummy scared me so mf much, ive never really have been on a real ride in general so thats probably why this ride scares me so much
Never in my life have i gotten more sick than I have after the simpsons ride.
I was there last year and totally agree… that thing is the closest thing to a torture machine I’ve ever been on
That and Forbidden Journey destroy me
it’s so nauseating and gives me such a bad headache
Terminator was 3D
I mean, if Dr. Doom had a second shot and bounce, and then a drop at the end, it'd be better
I have a soft spot for Race through New York and is one of my favorite rides since it was my first exposure to the tonight show, but I can understand why it’s so low. The queue is really cool though.
it’s especially amazing when you need a break from the heat it feels amazing in that building
I honestly hated Forbidden Journey just because of the fact that while we were riding it they had technical difficulties and of course it had to stop while we were hanging upside down. Definitely felt like I was gonna die until they were able to fix it.
Same thing happened to me
LMAOO, same! hurt my neck so bad
I never realized it went upside down.
All told, the 2020s look to be absolutely dominated by Universal over Disney.
my top 5 at universal as a guy who hates roller coasters is:
1. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man
2. Transformers: The Ride 3D
3. Jurassic Park River Adventure
4. Popeye and Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges
5. The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride
hate it or love it, i'm just too scared to try any big roller coaster.
Try escape from gringotts
i used to hate roller coasters but one day i just forced myself on to rip ride rocket and yes i did have an anxiety attack the entire time in line and going up but it was amazing and ever since i’ve loved roller coasters i still get nervous to go on them but that’s part of the fun so just try it and force yourself out of your comfort zone
The dr seuss train ride is the worst ride there imo, i waited 1 hour for that ride. Wish i never waited. Boring and slow.
But spider man and transformers are great
@@Ihave2000kidsinmybasement the only reason why that ride is up there is bc it gives a perfect view of the scenery arlund
Yea!! Velocicoaster was my first ‘big’ coaster and j cant stop thinking about it lol
As a former Florida resident I gotta say you didn't miss much on the back to the future ride. Setting aside nostalgia it is a low tier sim ride. The upgrade is better in every way, but it's still a sim...son!
It hurt me seeing fast and furious in last but yea I guess the ride itself isn’t the greatest 😂 I’m a major car nerd though so I love it
I think the list is pretty ok I think universal is amazing having rides for all people of all ages and it’s not like six flags or bush gardens just having roller coasters

We went on the ride twice though, so we were all happy.
Statistically, Fast and Furious is the absolute favorite ride of someone in the world 😂
I’m 15 and just yesterday went and experienced the velocicoaster and as my first big coaster it was beautiful
There’s a certain ride on this list that to live your analysis of, but you were much more generous than I will be on Saturday.
I am a massive fan of the Jurassic Park River adventure
Woah! Can’t believe Fury 325 got a shout out in this vid. As a NC resident, it warms my heart to see our home park getting recognized 😅
The mummy is criminally underrated. Never a long line but a great ride with great theming
i told my friends that popeys ride didnt get you wet at all, later on i had to buy the air dryer for all of them.
Hehe, nice one!
@kallijean5885, oops, lol 😂. I wish Hershey Park had those family air dryers. I sort of got soaked on Tiny Timbers, fun and cute water ride. I know Tiny Timbers is for little kids but I rode it anyway with my friends 😃.
Revenge of the mummy will never be boring. I honestly rode 4 times in a row on my visit many moons ago.
on halloween horror nights a couple years ago there was no line and you get just walk straight on to it i swore i rode it over 15+ times
I love dudley do's ride!
Cat and the hat was so good back in the day. So sad to see it like it is now.
Fun fact about the Poseidon walk through ride, the trident is actually the same one from the shop, I remember because I got to hold it since the cast member noticed I had the birthday badge lol.
16:56 you should try Timberwolf falls at Canada’s wonderland lol
That ride completely soaks you every time
The Cat in the Hat is great for one reason: short line = cooling off in the AC
Hulk deserves at least #2 man. Hulk is so underrated. I loved it!
Went through fast an furious ride for the first time and I have to say the best part was that I was one of the last groups and the ride/wait people knew the prerecorded dialog so well that they could make jokes around it
16:41 I'd like to point out that there were signs on Pop-Eyes that say "Warning you may get a bit wet" or something to that extent
BIGGEST MISLEADING SIGN I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED ON A RIDE
I went on Popeye and Bluto's in December (it was 30 degrees) not knowing what the ride was, and the experience after was the most miserable I've ever been.

Most underrated RUclipsr of all time as someone who went tho the resort 2 weeks ago this is valid I might rank Jimmy Fallon a bit higher but I grew up watching some of his skits and loved the theme It could be more thrilling though overall 100/10 tearlist
The Dr. Seuss rides are a nice break from all the intense rides. Obviously they're for kids but they're just chill.
The queue for the Jimmy Fallon ride is more fun than the actual ride lol…I love the acapella group that performs in there
