I was in the mothership once and I was too nervous to fight the alien queen so I bombed underneath the plasma cannon and it fell on my head. The worst part is, i didn't even get the journal entry.

My favourite was when I had a shotgun in the ice caves, I threw it down a ledge and it started bouncing on a bounce pad, then I followed it down the ledge with a rope, and ran up to it. I had 4 health. It hit me as it was falling back onto the pad, stunning me. Because of the timing, I would get hit immediately again after it bounced two more times, so I couldn't move out the way. This process repeated until I was dead. Killed by bouncing shotgun, what a game.

I was once killed by a bouncing snowball in that way on a hell run attempt. I was mad

those spike pits in the jungle are so annoying in spelunky classic, cause you can't start running from a vine unless you grab the vine while running,
+CatandFriends1 I think I always resorted to bombs whenever I found a vine spike pit in classic...
When it said failed charge my tablet stoped charging.

Or bats. Those little scrubs always appear from above, and i cant whip them, so they just hit me and push me off...

Worst part is that they are made to hit your only weak spot in your whip coverage.
I love how each death has a title, that's dedication to comedy
I call this: BETRAYAL! when I used The Sphinks thing to kill the Shop keeper but it KILLED ME

So this just happened to me and i am SO mad and it could definitely be here. I was in temple 2 with hedjet, it could have been my first visit to hell, but i threw a torch offscreen and that hits a croc man who then telefrags me. I did not even see him before the throw. This is what it means to get "Spelunkied"
Don't forget to blow up the lava to continually abuse the Kapala-vomit trick.
This is the reason why I enjoy watching other people play Spelunky, looking forward to Volume 2!
