Hi Steve. The turntable is not yet motorised but I plan to motorise it at some point so I will make a video on that when I do. Thanks again for your inspiration. Have a great new year. Nat🚂
That all looks great Nat. I really like the backstory and the layout around the branch and the industrial area. That is going to be some layout when you've finished. I will enjoy watching it develop. Stephen
Thanks Stephen . I think I’m a little too eager at the moment trying to do a bit of everything. I am going to have a look at the incline soon as that will take some time to adjust to my liking so I might need to look around at some more videos. Nat
I'm so glad I was able to help you in a small way with the idea of the industrial area and the buildings you have will look really good there. I do want to include a turntable in my layout later and was pleased to see you've fitted a peco one - is this motorised or are you planning to motorise it in the future? If so I would be really interested to see how you do it and how you would control it. I've got one of those four legged track inspectors as well - every time I change the layout she has to come in and check it out and then expect a feed! It's all looking good Nat, lots of great work going on. Regards Steve
Hi Nat - What a brilliant layout you have created. For such a small awkward room you have tons of track down and yet is does not look at all compacted, quite the opposite. The track layout looks very interesting, your gong to have hours of fun watching your trains go round this layout. Cannot believe in such a small room how tidy your build is, amazing. Subscribed to you because of the tag, brilliant idea. Regards Chris
Thanks so much. It did take me a while with planning the track and I took inspiration from others which helped me a lot. it’s actually quite a big room but my dads OO gauge layout takes up the majority of the space, but I still get more space than if it was in my room. Thanks for the comment. Nat🚂
Hi Nat! An interesting update! I like the idea of layouts having a backstory! Must come up with one for Shelfington at some point! I think code 55 on foam is definitely the way to go as I had loads of trouble getting code 80 flexible track to keep in position using track pins as the pins had a tendency to tear the foam! Can I ask why you're not going DCC? Just interested as it's a new layout! Looking forward to the next layout already, but in the meantime, Merry Christmas! All the best, Ian.
Hi Ian. The main reason was cost as I had many locos before starting this layout so it would be quite expensive to make them all DCC, it is something that I can adapt and when I have more money then I might go to DCC as most of my locos can have the decoders fitted. This way I get more trains for my money. Thanks for your comment merry Christmas 🎄 Nat
@@Nat-AVMR-N-gauge - Thanks Nat! I figured it was probably something like that! The hobby is so much more expensive than it used to be! It's good that you can wire it so you can change to DCC in the future though! Cheers, Ian.
