Thanks for recipe, i ground the mixture in the night after soaking for 5 hrs... then let it to ferment... made dosa in the morning... is it ok if batter ferments?
I've found that any pan that works well for pancakes or crepes tends to works ok for dosa. If you have a well seasoned cast iron griddle (with a cooking surface that's not too rough) that's large enough to fit over 2 burners, or an oval burner if your stove has one, use that. Just heat it slowly and evenly, and use a long blade spatula for turning. Failing that, a good quality non stick pan will serve in a pinch, but wont have the same evenness and heat recovery.
Thanks for the recipe bhavana. I was looking for gluten-free dosa recipe for a while. Mostly came across oats combined with rice flour and semolina. This is perfect . Will let you know how it turned out after trying it
This recipe is awesome! I’m excited about making it!! Thank you so much for sharing. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to many more delicious vegetarian recipes!
I wanna make dis recipe for my kids...Since quinoa added , which s for weight loss , Can i add any other millets instead of quinoa for making dis recipe????.... pls tel me bhavna.....am waiting for ur reply ....
Lovely recipe. I only added salt for taste in the batter but it was quite bitter. Is there anyway to counter the bitterness that I am presuming comes from the quinoa? Thank you.
OMG, THIS IS GENIUS!!! I can tell how intelligent you are by your inclusion of ground flax (LOL, I also talk about the benefits of flax in many of my videos). Love that this is a super food crepe - quinoa, oats lentils, turmeric and flax. My only question - what kind of oil did you use? Hopefully not vegetable or canola oil as those are really horrible for your health, I talked about this a little in a video I did about salad dressing. I LOVE THIS!!!! NEW FRIEND!
Bhavana you are amazing!!! What a great idea to use quinoa. I do want to ask you, what if I add little more water after making the paste. Would it make it any easier to spread? Also is there a reason you didn't ferment as normally
Is it required to toast the quinoa until they pop and roast all the daal before grinding to make a ready mix or you can powder them all without roasting
@@Bhavnaskitchen Thanks for the reply. Yes, it was a wonderful flavor but didn't fry well because I don't have a non stick pan. But great recipe! Thanks!
Thanks for the recipe bhavna ji.. How is the taste of this dosa? Is it similar to regular dosa? Will the kids like the taste? Will it have any kind of smell if we keep the batter in fridge for two to three days ? Please reply
