This made my day - dealership freaked me out when they said it may be an led lamp replacement which would be in the hundreds 😳 Hope this works but mine is a 2013 ml350 too so it should 🤞🏻
Thanks for the help, just one item (surprise) that I found that I will highlight… Upon removal of the panel, I was met with a large grey cylinder, which I am guessing may be a component of the automatic lift gate…makes it a bit more challenging as there is VERY little room to manouvre…
Yes, it can be a bit crowded behind there and makes it a bit challenging - it becomes a test of your dexterity but not bad. Try to pay it no mind and just focus on getting the blown bulb out and replacing it with the new one. Assuming you had success?
Thanks for the video. I went to Firestone, ntb, and Walmart auto. All said they will not touch any Mercedes. Went to an obscure German mechanic. Said they will replace each bulb for $300 each. I can’t make this up 🤦🏽♂️
Hi, I also have a 2013 ML350, same massage on screen "passenger brake bulb" - it's intermittent though, sometimes it's doing that and sometimes it's fine, anyway changed the bulb, same thing happens intermittent right brake light bulb message, I am thinking the socket is bad, called the dealer for the new socket and they are telling me that the socket on the 13 is part of the tail light assembly and the whole tail light needs to be replaced...any thoughts on that?
The drivers side socket popped out and in very easy. The passenger side (the one with the fault) will not come out. Seems like the notches are not lining up properly. Any suggestions?
@@IvanSchlachter I had to break the socket to get it out of the light housing. It may have been installed incorrectly so the pins weren't lining up. Fortunately the housing survived so all I had to replace was the socket.
@@IvanSchlachter thank you! I did end up going to an auto shop(auto zone) got the light bulb. Shower my husband the video and break light is fixed. Less then 10 mins. 😊
Mechanic quoted me $200 lol... you just saved me $190 bucks, thanks!
That's insane, I'm glad you took the initiative and changed it yourself. Nice work!
Thanks for the video! I replaced my bulb in less than 5 min and saved at least 50-100 dollars
Great. So easy. Done it in two minutes.
Awesome stuff!

No, it will sense the new bulb and current - message will be removed automatically

Sorry, just seeing this. You might want to wear a glove and give it a good turn. It will come out.

It’s a P21W bulb.

That’s crazy!
hello question pls…do i need to do any reset on anything?
no, it should recognize you've replaced the bulb and the message will automatically go away.
thank you
