Your comment implies Jeff Coffin has no soul...he's got more soul than the tip of your left pinkie. Jeff deserves reverence from the DMB community - he stepped in when Roi passed and helped keep things going. He's not Roi...never going to be, but he's done an incredible job.

I almost went in 2005 but I ended up going to two shows at Red Rocks instead and I got to meet these two...
this show had the best set list ive ever heard by dave.. grace is gone, dreaming tree into watchtower then this, which is my favorite song dave has ever played live in concert, into halloween and tripping billies... i envy all that were there to witness this live.. and thank dave for realeasing this album so that it can live on forever
One of my favorite Roi moments of all time. I recommend evetybody check out the 8/5/04 cincy show on youtube, the end of Lover Lay down is just 3 or 4 minutes of pure blissful playing from Leroi. Beautifully moving stuff. I always miss him and his sax more in the summer.

With that understand coffin will never replace Roi. What will surely happen is Roi will sometimes replace Jeff because of the bands will. Roi will come out and Jeff will know when he's reached the magic DMB had. Fans gotta help this happen then will be rewarded with glimpses of Roi.
who ever disliked this video must b pretty dumb. they played this song the last time at my frist ever DMB concert and they played this song the last time ever because of LeRoi dying. :'( RIP LeRoi you are missed greatly.
The first time I ever heard this song was when he performed it on a Johnny Cash special in 1999. On video I've heard Johnny do it and Dave do it and I just heard Daryl Singletary's version and I like this best, when there are no women back ups singing along in the chorus. Singletary's were softer and here they're nonexistent. Dave does a good job of wailing so they aren't needed. The sax is better in the chorus position.
