As an anxious, from my perspective, i dont think its bcuz i wanted more. i think its bcuz the avoidant stopped what they were doing, or they were inconsistent.
same. btw my boyfriend DA once vulnurably admitted, that his "fuck it attitude" is in fact a defense mechanism. but it's appealing to me nevertheless 🥲
I currently have an anxious attachment style and I've been doing so much better since I've learned about attachment theory here on RUclips. I noticed that once I set firm boundaries with my DA that's when he leans further in trying to stay close lol. It's a wild ride, but we're both putting in the work. Self-awareness is definitely the key to breaking this cycle and insecure attachment style patterns. Great video! Thank you (:
Yes I agree with this. I think it’s an energy dynamic. I’ve heard from others when they “let go” so to speak mentally and energetically (aka focused on themselves and their life and stopped focusing on them) the avoidant would tend to come close or become worried. I think it’s about finding balance. I find being with an avoidant even if it doesn’t work out helps me work on my anxiety and being triggered bc anxious attachers have bad habits as well they need to break
I'm so happy to hear about your breakthroughs! Self-respect translates to strong boundaries; the more we respect ourselves, the more others respect us as well. Thank you for sharing!
I hear you! I believe that if my message resonates, then I am not teaching you anything you don't already know; we just need to be reminded sometimes :)
Hi @LifeIsLoveSchool and thank you for making this video. It's been very insightful. I notice the links you listed for your website are not working. Is there another way to get to the resources you listed in the links?

100%. Thats true - exact same in my case. She openly admitted she was just putting a front
I lean anxious and i am attracted to avoidant bcuz i admire their boundaries, independence, and fuck it attitude.
Yes, these are common reasons why AP are attracted to avoidants. Thank you for sharing.

So well explained. I’ve been working on my anxious attachment style and have made a lot of progress.
